False advertisement

It’s absolutely pointless and false advertisement to have things on your website that you don’t have in stock!! Nevermind letting people actually order and pay for things you don’t have in stock!! I’ve used MYER many times but this is the first time it’s happened. I’ll be shopping elsewhere going forward. Absolute waste of time

FALSE ADVERTISING OF PRODUCTS THEY DONT ACTUALLY HAVE!!
Myer delivers goods that are not what I ordered and then tell me that they know the products advertised on their website are not available. The photo shows what I thought I had ordered (a 500ml bottle). What I got sent to me was a 350ml satchel. My guess is they will remove this image and the description ASAP.

I ordered two 500ml bottles of diffuser oil but was sent two 350ml sachets of diffuser oil. When I called customer service they told me there is a problem on their website and they know what is being advertised as 500ml bottles are actually 350ml sachets (that aren’t even advertised on the Myer website)! No offer of credit or sending out additional diffuser oil to make up the difference. No, the only options provided is for me to go to a post office or back in store to refund. Obviously NOT HAPPY as I ordered online to avoid Christmas shopping chaos. This is disgusting customer service for a long time customer. Will be taking my patronage elsewhere.

Myer cannot change address after purchase!

If I could give zero stars I would. I purchase 2 items online, was not asked for the delivery address at checkout. When I received my order confirmation, I realised the delivery address was incorrect. I called Myer customer service immediatly and asked for the delivery address to be changed before they mail the items. I was told they cannot change the delivery address and I have to contact the courier once the items have been sent, I called the courier and asked to return one of the items to sender, they said they would, but instead deliver it to the incorrect address. The delivery for the other item has been stopped, however Myer’s response is that they cannot guarantee delivery. I will never buy from Myer again, I have paid for items, but they did not care about the delivery of my items! Their customer service is a scam and there is no point contacting them! Nothing has been resolved!

Disappointing customer service and courier choice

Ordered a picnic basket a month ago from Myer. Aramex lost my parcel. I had to keep chasing up with aramex and Myer. Asked for replacement and NOT a refund 2 weeks ago, then again a week ago, still nothing. By the time they got round to ‘dealing’ with my request I was given a refund as out of stock!!! No surprise there, given it was Black Friday sales. Asked for like for like replacement … no they can’t do that, computer says no! Was told they finally would give me a $30 gift voucher as compensation to be emailed straight away, still hasn’t arrived!!
Did a review after they sent an email about what I thought of the product ??? that I never got. Guess what, my review which was politely truthful was rejected as didn’t meet their conditions… as in I wasn’t raving about it, go figure. I simply told the truth and that customer service wasn’t exactly great, but mgr Sebastian was polite but sadly didn’t send promised voucher!!

Also wasn’t impressed with aramex either I had to chase them up over it as well and have heard other friends saying aramex have lost items.

Don’t buy click and connect

Seriously if there were NO STAR I would give it, a minus.
Don’t do click and collect, guarantee to be notified by 12 midday. I tried to call Macquarie Toy department 4 times ,no answer. Called the customer service centre, a person who had a very strong accent , and her English was terrible said” they’re busy, it’s Xmas” .
I actually know that, that’s why buying.
However her attitude and not referring me to a Supervisor is unacceptable . She said there was NO WAY i could speak to anyone reguarding my order and they have no contact with the click and connect department.

Very disappointing Myer

Placed an online order and couldn’t cancel immediately

Placed an online order - realised the address was wrong. Tried to cancel using Myer Concierge their chat bot as outside of hours for their helpline. Was not possible. Phones as soon as helpline opened and was told it is not possible even though order had not been picked, packed or processed. Was told to redirect it through Aus post app. Did that and aus post weee unable to redirect due to an internal error! Whatever that means. So the long and short is I live in Central Queensland, order was sent and delivered to my old address in Canberra ACT and Myer said sorry not our problem. I am $369 out of pocket and they simply couldn’t care less. Spoke to a manager after a 48hr wait and they simply read and repeated a scripted sentence to me 15 times over. I will never shop with them again

Made an order for a present and day 12 and the item hasn’t even being posted yet. Myer keeps saying they have sent it but the tracking number doesn’t exist. Customer service team are hopeless.
Can’t even get a refund or go instore to buy it

I ordered Miss Dior Blooming Blush…

I ordered Miss Dior Blooming Blush 100ml special edition perfume on the 19th November as a present for Christmas. I paid $260. I received a parcel from Myers on the 28th November .. it contained Dior Rouge Blush .. yes makeup rouge. I phoned to let Myer know of their mistake. Instead of apologising, I was told that
I had to return the rouge before I could receive what I had ordered. The parcel took almost 10 days to arrive in regional NSW and therefore I assume 10 days to return... maybe a few more to process and then if whoever was filling orders could distinguish between perfume and makeup.. another 10 days to arrive back here .. not in time for Christmas. My only other option was to repurchase the perfume again at another $260 (and hope they get it right) and wait til the makeup was returned and received by Myer and wait for the refund to be issued. Wonderful customer service. Their error.. my cost. Won't be ordering from them again.

Dysfunctional online shop - awful.

I had a similar experience to others. Myer allocated my Item to an old address, a place I moved from 7 years ago, even though the address on my account is my current one.

I only noticed the old address once i'd hit 'order'. I contacted them immediately (it took 10 minutes to get through). The customer service guy was unhelpful and quite surly and told me that it can't be changed or cancelled as it was due for dispatch. I said that this can't be true, no online store dispatched that quickly. He told me it can't be changed, and i'd have to chase up the courier/postal service when it gets dispatched 'soon'. Apparently they can't do this at all.

I chased them again via online chat a day later, to ask someone else and they were equally unhelpful. I was told again it can't be changed or cancelled. I asked why this dispatch hadn't happened as I was told it would be straight away, the day before. The chat human said 'it might take 4-6 days to dispatch'. Which is a different story than the day before.

The upshot is, once you order anything, it's your problem, even if they have glitches. there is no 'cancel order' option.

I like Myer as a physical store, but the online counterpart is very bad! I won't use the online store again. I may go to the store.

New and inventive ways.....

1. Twenty-seven items in one order arrived in 25 separate deliveries - one arrived in a box so large I could nearly fit in it and contained a single child's softcover novel wrapped in 3.7m (we measured it because it was simply astounding) of bubble wrap.
2. Security tag left on item but couldn't instigate return because it was a discounted item.
3. Phone bot shuts down call unless you use correct keywords to get you through to a human so latest return I used the chatbot online.....
4. Sent incorrect item so I have to submit a return (we live remote, I need to take leave from work to go to the post office), wait for the return to be processed for the refund and then reorder the correct item and hope they send the correct one because I used the chat function instead of calling....the customer service rep gave me a speech about calling instead of using chat function....

Myer sucks

I put 5 , count them ,orders online ,and they have lost everyone of them.They call them ghost orders.There is nothing wrong with my Pay Pal acc.Its all on Meyer .These are Christmas and Birthday gifts and they have $2000 of mine while I have nothing ,so have to wait for Pay Pal to retrieve my money .As a disabled pensioner I have to shop online and I won’t even give them one star as they wouldn’t even let me talk to a manager about this problem.Now with Christmas and two birthdays coming up the pickings will be slim ,and none of it is mine or Pay Pals fault .Always pay with Pay PAL as Meyer tried to get me to close my cases and said they would refund me ,but I was told not to trust them as they had the money and I had no goods.How can a huge company lose 5 orders ?Ive been with this company for years,and been a very good customer ,but they care nothing about customer service .My carer took me instore on the Central Coast and there were three people working in the whole store.Ridiculous.Target gives better service.The last order I placed that I actually received was short one pair of Country Road Jeans .What a way to make money if people don’t complain. To the ladies who gave Meyer a 5 Star review, particularly the Channel and Cue clients.These salespeople are paid by the company they work for and the nicer you are the more sales you get ,the more sales you get the more bonuses.You will find these people will only sell their company’s products.

Atrocious delivery online purchases

I ordered 2 items online which were shown to be in stock. After convoluted check out process, advised delivery over 1 1/2 weeks (I live CBD) As time spent, committed and purchased.
Well, now being advised will be extra week until delivery. Stock unavailable Sydney so had to access Adelaide. Will be over 3 weeks since purchase.
If I had bought at Amazon, where price was cheaper, would have had next day. Called complaints and excuse busy because lead up Black Friday sales and Christmas. Nothing they could do or offer.
Not good enough Myer if want to keep custom 50 years olus!

MYERONE APP HOPELESS

I received a MYERONE $10-00 gift card by email on 3rd November 2025 due to expire on 3rd November 2026. Tried to use it today to purchase something online, but it would not proceed. After 3 calls to the helpline to be told it was ready to be used, I did the purchase without using it and the transaction proceeded. I had a similar problem in store about one month ago, and it took the shop assistant nearly 45 mins to get it to work. I would give it no stars if I could.

Bought an Air fryer online reduced from…

Bought an Air fryer online reduced from $500 to $220 ($220 on all the other sites, so false discount) Tried to cancel 5 mins after placing order but was told that that was impossible and to wait till I received it and send it back for a refund. If you read all the other reviews on this page I'm not looking forward to that scenario . If I could have given no stars I would have.
Disgusting customer relations, shop elsewhere where they treat you with courtesy and respect. I won't be shopping with Myer instore or online ever again.

Problems receiving a refund

Ongoing problems receiving a refund of $349 from Myer. Tracking clearly shows my package was delivered back to them. EXTREMELY fruitless and frustrating contacts with their so called Customer Service- approx 5 emails, a long thread of Facebook Messenger messages, and 3 phone calls to them, each call over half an hour long, Every time being given a totally generic reply asking me to "wait a few more days" and "thanking me for my patience". Sadly this has long expired. Lesson learnt never deal with Myer again!
Update 5/12/2025 - Finally got a refund through Paypal only after lodging a dispute.

When did Myer become a joke?
Had an issue with an order received and an AI assistant told me I would have a response in 48 hours. No response, so I called and spoke to an AI assistant who transferred me to a human who didn't even have the courtesy to say "hello, what is your order number please". Instead I had to prompt them and say what do we do here.
Anyway, I ordered some shoes that were on clearance; the description said they were leather, but rhey turned up and the shoe says (and feels) synthetic. I can't return them as they are on clearance. So it appears Myer can sell anything on clearance and if it's not as described too bad too sad.
I also ordered a pair of thongs and the wrong size turned up. So now i'll just wait for the return label, re-pack them, head down to the post office, queue up, and send them back. Would've been much simpler for everyone if they just checked the order before sending... AU 9 is not US 9... we all know that!

Myer no longer my store

I have shopped at Myer physical stores for years and recently (1/11/2025) I decided to shop online for convenience, or so I thought.
There are a couple of unpleasant experiences I have had recently at Myer in store and online.
I try to be positive but enough is enough.
Firstly, I shopped at Myer Pacific Fair late October and spent in one transaction almost $500 after all discount at the time. The transaction at the register was processed by a couple of sales assistants who seemed less than interested in serving me but all the clothing I had bought were put in a Christmas Myer bag which I thought was lovely since Myer always charges for bags. Naturally, I thought the bag was given to me for free since I had spent almost $500 and I wasn't asked if I want one. To my disappointment I discovered on my receipt later that in fact I was charged for the bag. Make your own judgement....
Secondly, I spent over $600 short after online and when part of my order came I needed to exchange a size. I went to Pacific Fair store, found the department I needed to exchange an item and was told I need to go to a desk downstairs to make an exchange as they no longer exchange in relevant departments. Once again, I leave the judgment for the reader.
As my total order was split, I am still waiting for the remaining part of it 17 days later and when I tracked the delivery it seems it might be another 3 days before I will finally receive my order.
To say that I am very disappointed with Myer overall service instore and online is an understatement!
