Don't give them your money

Bought a ticket March 2022, and January 2023 I realised I wouldn't be able to travel so I emailed them for a refund (which they state is fine as long as it's 2 weeks before the ticket expires). They won't respond to any of the multiple emails I've sent them, and anytime I try phone it says 'Noones available to take your call at the moment' and hangs up which has been happening for a month now. Absolute con. If you want to go travelling buy directly through interrail.eu and not this joke of a company.

Nonexistent customer support until you raise a complaint, rubbish customer support thereafter

This review was originally posted on the Interrail EU page in September 2022. However, the contents of my review refer exclusively to the negative experiences with Interrail UK.

Date of experience: 19 August 2022.

You must buy and activate an Interrail Pass to check Eurostar seat availability.

We bought 2 Interrail Global Passes on 19 July via Interrail UK. We then discovered that the Eurostar services we needed to use had no available seats for reservation (for Interrail Pass users).

We requested a refund on the same day as our order.

We did not hear anything back from Interrail UK until after 9 August 2022, when we formally complained about their non-response and lack of staff on the telephone support line.

Tim Maton, Chief Technology Officer and a registered director of International Rail Limited, responded to our complaint in an evasive and suspicious manner.

We eventually received a full refund of our order but it took a formal complaint to get this, along with a threat to escalate to the ombudsman and a national newspaper's consumer champion.

Tim Maton, Chief Technology Officer and a registered director of International Rail Limited, failed to provide clear complaints procedures for us despite being asked for this multiple times.

In Tim Maton's penultimate email, they wrote, "This [the full refund of the order] is our final decision on the matter and I am afraid we will not be able to enter into further correspondence with you."

When I queried if this meant no further correspondence about any matter, Maton wrote, "Of course we will correspond with you on future orders and customer support - that is not what our last email said at all."

Tim Maton, Chief Technology Officer and a registered director of International Rail Limited, should focus on the company's technology and executive management rather than gaslighting customers through poor service and communication.

Suspect scam, taking money, not delivering

I purchased two interrail tickets. I did not receive tickets in the post, as stated on their materials, but an email log in confirmation. I contacted myinterrail by phone an email in January of this year, to seek a refund. They advertise that they will respond within 24 hours. In fact, the phone is never answered, across all advertised numbers, emails receive an automated acknowledgement, but nobody from customer service responds. I have now raised a complaint with the travel watchdog, Transport Focus. I have checked on the companies house website, and there is no company registered under this name. At this point, I think this company is a scam, and is using the logo of the National Rail Network on it's site to lure people in

This company is a Disgrace.

This company is a Disgrace.
I bought and paid for a pass one week ago (16/03/23) from interrail.co.uk. I received a confirmation email; but I have still NOT received my pass. I have sent numerous emails to their "support" line but have still received NOTHING. I am forced to take legal action.
This Is A Disgrace ! - Peter.

Customer service is virtually…

Customer service is virtually non-existent, phone calls are met with what seems to be an automatic “our lines are exceptionally busy and your call is unable to be answered” message, even when calling at the exact time their office opens. Emails are supposedly replied to within 2 working days, I’ve been waiting 12 days and still nothing.

Good service

All I can say is that I had a good experience with this company. Paper pass issued for myself and two children. I returned the ferry passes ordered and got a quick refund. Communication was good and passes worked well. Would recommend

AVOID - hopeless

AVOID. This is the website you are directed to buy interrail passes from if you live in the UK. The site presents itself as "interrail by national rail' and uses both organisations' branding. The company are based in a small village in Hampshire.

I am sorry to say that customer service is utterly non-existent. I have been waiting over a month for a refund and I have not had ANY confirmation or communication from the company that my refund will be processed despite emails, letters and multiple attempts to contact them by phone. I have had to go ahead and purchase additional passes without being able to put the refund towards this cost.

Their answerphone message promises a response within 24 hours, their website says there have been experiencing 'exceptional demand' and their responses may be a little delayed - but over 5 weeks and counting?

I am really concerned this is a scam and I will never receive a refund. I am reporting this company to Trading Standards.
