Have been a customer of Mythic Beasts for almost a decade and the number of problems I've had can be counted in binary with a single bit. (And it was probably of my own making.)

The few times I've had to reach out to them, once to help a client integrate email into a printer, others for TLS cipher related queries, they were professional, responsive, and extremely knowledgable.

This isn't Google where it's a faceless service you hope never goes down. This isn't a chap in his bedroom running a hosting service for fun. These are knowledgable industry experts who most of all, will provide you with dependable infrastructure.

I recommend them to anyone who asks for services they provide and if you're looking here, you're already interested, so just take this from me — yes, they're the ones you're looking for.

I cannot remember the last time I posted about a company because they did an amazing job, but Mythic Beasts Ltd deserves a shout out. Their support is the best I have seen on the Internet after multiple decades of doing this.

If you need hosting - email, web, domain, shell, virtual or dedicated machines, etc. - they are the BEST.

My website and emails stopped working overnight when my previous host just disappeared. He was reselling another firm's product and they were equally helpless. I found Mythic-Beasts by accident and read up a little about them before signing up. What a difference in service! Weekdays, Richard and his Support Team, especially Chris, reply within a hour to address queries comprehensively (and I had many queries). Guided by them, horologica.co.uk was restored quickly and professionally, and at low cost. Conversely, the old hosting firm has turned off the phone and not responded to enquiries for three weeks now. The firm that make the product they sold (who are also the Registrar) know of the problem and still won't release the domains so I've now applied to Nominet.

I use a variety of products from Mythic Beasts, and have yet to be disappointed. I recommend them without hesitation to clients and friends.

In particular, their knowledgeable and wry support team is ever fast to help, and the quality of their managed hosting services is outstanding.

While some of their products are undoubtedly more expensive than competitors, I've always found that their pricing is honest and transparent.

You don't often find companies like this anymore.

About 30 months on from my last review of MB here and seemed time to say that they continue to be excellent. As ever, excellent advice when sought and technologically for me, the lovely thing is that things always just work. They've recently been helpful with charging things to my university in Ecuador: you'd be amazed how many companies make that a nightmare as if they don't want to be paid. Recently used MB to set up an Open Source shiny server: excellent.

GT Yachts has been with Mythic Beasts for well over 10 years, probably more like 15. Never ever had a single issue. I always recommend Mythic Beasts to people when they complain about hosting providers, or are too blinkered to move away from bolt on services.
Communication is excellent - server upgrades and maintenance communicated well, but not bombarded with info emails (thank you).
Such good value if you know a little bit of what you need to do. 10/10.

Stellar experience every time I've needed help, top service and top customer support, going above and beyond to help solve issues.

Have used Mythic Beasts service in the past and have recently become an active customer again after looking for somewhere that provides BGP sessions via a virtual server.

They were quick to respond to my questions and the virtual server seems speedy and responsive. Ordering the BGP feeds addon was painless. I had some issues with setting up IPv6 on MikroTik CHR but with Mythic Beasts assistance it's working.

I recommend checking out Mythic Beasts if you're looking for fair pricing, a quality service and knowledgeable staff who won't give you scripted replies.

I've used MB for a variety of hosting tasks for over 10 years now and they have been consistently excellent: expert and WYSIWG, i.e. no hidden issues or costs and very willing to advise on options in a very balanced way that is clearly focused on what would be best for what I want or need done, not on their profits. Unreserved approval.

I've been using Mythic Beasts for DNS services, and subsequently a VPS, for some years now. I've been particularly happy with their competent and responsive support. To be specific, in discussions about topics such as IPv6, SSH key distribution and DNS management, they have got straight to the point: I have never had to get past first line support in order to talk to someone who knows what they are on about.

We use Mythic Beasts for domain registration and they are by far the best we've ever used. Not the cheapest but they have a system that simply *works* and, if you have unusual requests (I needed contact details changed on a very recently expired domain) they try to, and can be, very helpful.

Excellent service at a great price. The Mythic team have done a great job helping me set up a managed VPS and have handled all my support queries promptly and expertly.

Excellent company. Have been with several 'big' companies over the years, but always encountered problems at some point. I was a bit hesitant to sign up with Mythic Beasts because their userface isn't as easy as I'm used to, but I'm so glad I did. Turns out I don't really need to log into their site a lot anyway, because everything runs smoothly. No downtime, and whenever I do have a question, they answer quickly. I would really recommend them.

Mythic have hosted my domains for seven years, and that of a charity of which I'm a director for five years. I have had no problems whatsoever. The service just works.

On the occasions when I have requested support or a change to the setup, the response has always been very fast, typically within a couple of hours, even outside the normal working day. Support has always, without exception, been helpful and efficient, getting things done with a minimum of fuss.

We've been continuously hosted with Mythic since April 2006 on their colocated Mac Mini service. Their provision of service has been exemplary for the duration, and their technical support extremely knowledgeable and helpful on the rare occasions we've needed to use it. Couldn't be happier!

I've been with Mythic since they acquired Black Cat networks, which a friend ran. I'd had one hosting provider before who weren't that clueful. Apparently M-B had had similar experiences themselves which is why they set up their operation! I use them for my domain name registrations and have a hosting account with them with SSH access which I use for my email and half a dozen websites I run. I use their DNS API to do dynamic DNS for a couple of sub-domains, running the scripts they helpfully provide on my local machines. I've also paid them extra to upgrade and configure mediawiki for one of my sites, which turned out to be money well spent as it was beyond my technical capabilities.

Niggles:
I think the interface on their control panel could be clearer and easier to navigate; by their standards, and (I guess) that of their typical user, I'm relatively clueless and, not having a clear understanding of how everything hangs together, I don't always know what parameters I need to set to make things work properly. The truly naive user is clearly not MB's target audience and I suspect they're happy to leave that market sector to others but they could probably lower the technical bar of their UI for users a bit (and to be fair have improved it over the years).

Support:
Technical support, when needed, has always been prompt, friendly, and highly clueful.

Wishlist:
Web access logs online, or instructions on how to set them up.

Verdict:
Nice people running a great service at reasonable prices.

I've had a hosting and SSH account with Mythic Beasts for just over eight years. I was attracted by prices that fairly reflected of the cost of providing the service. You can do a lot on their hosting LAMP server -- for my purposes it's close to having my own managed VPS at a fraction of the cost. Support is also excellent: highly technically capable, friendly, and fast (most recent ticket was solved in <90 minutes).
