Easy to get domain registered and know it is taken care of. However, they are not the least costly of the registers I have found. I just stick with them since they are the ones I first started with and it is easier to stay.
I love the fact that it was affortable and easy to engage.
The plans and pricing at Namecheap are genuinely good value, and I have no complaints about the service itself. However, when something goes wrong on their end, be prepared for a very frustrating experience with their support team.
Over time I have had multiple issues including my website going up and down unexpectedly, and in total I have spent over 20 hours fighting with their support just to get problems acknowledged and resolved. Every single time the first response is that the problem is on my end, even when it clearly is not.
The most recent example: after Namecheap migrated my hosting to a new datacenter, my WHMCS setup stopped working and my panel connection broke. The panel itself was working fine after the migration, but the connection between Namecheap's server and my panel was broken. Again, support insisted it was my problem.
I had to run all the diagnostic tests myself to prove otherwise:
- Pinging Google (8.8.8.8) from my server worked perfectly with 0% packet loss
- My Windows Firewall showed AllowOutbound on all profiles
- My DNS was correctly configured
- My panel was fully accessible from a browser
- But my server could not reach Namecheap's server at all — 100% packet loss
Despite all this evidence pointing clearly to their server, I still had to fight to get them to acknowledge it. If you are a technical user running anything beyond basic hosting, be prepared to do their job for them every time something goes wrong.
Great value, frustrating support.

Great customer service!!! I would have given Namecheap 5 stars simply for the customer service I received from Volodymyr O, but alas, as someone who is new to the website design game, I was without an SSL for several years without being aware (perhaps my fault) or being made aware (perhaps Namecheap's oversight) just how essential an SSL certificate is in order to have people successfully visit my site without running into an alarming message that "This site is not secure. Someone may be trying to steal your data," a glitch in the matrix that I waived off as something that was happening on my end of things. I was pleased how things turned out, so they, and especially their customer service rep, have my gratitude:)

The transition from an old, poorly run domain host site to NameCheap went very smooth and was easy to navigate.

There is a financial scam website Pari-betting.com whose domain and hosting is provided by Namecheap . I sent them mail regarding their scam along with necessary proofs but still they are not taking any action and neither blocking their site . They don’t care about humanity and their users .

worst hosting in the universe. No one knows why their hosting services cut out daily. They torture their customers with constant do it yourself requirements. Good riddance
