Unprofessional
Our experience with Lyndsey Milburn, the owner and surveyor at NancyRita, was extremely disappointing.
We had arranged a morning appointment but Lyndsey arrived after midday with no prior notice or apology. When we texted earlier in the day to ask for a rough timescale, her reply came across as abrupt. When she arrived, we found her patronising and unprofessional. She made unnecessary comments about being from the area and spoke to us as though we had no understanding of the process.
The issues didn’t stop there. The first report we received contained completely incorrect information, including details copied from another client’s property (wrong house price, date, and other key facts). She blamed this on an administration error which led us to believe that although Lyndsey visited our house, someone else had prepared the report. The report was signed off by Lyndsey. The comparable properties used were also inaccurate and when we questioned this, her explanations were confusing and inconsistent.
We ended up receiving three separate reports, each containing errors. Communication throughout was slow and at times, unresponsive. Despite repeatedly mentioning how the Help to Buy process can drag on, Lyndsey delivered that same level of delay herself. During her visit, she also made a comment about clients contacting her on weekends when she had personal plans, something we thought was unprofessional.
Overall, the experience was careless, frustrating and far below the standard we expected from the owner of the company. Based on our experience, we would strongly advise against using NancyRita or Lyndsey Milburn for surveying services.
