National Tyres and Autocare - Berkhamsted Reviews 60

I have to give another 5* review for National Tyres in Berkhamsted. A couple of weeks ago, the dashboard light came on, telling me that one of my tyres was under pressure. I tried myself to put air in at the local garage but it didn't work. Then I popped round to National Tyres to ask for their help. A lovely guy sorted it all out for me and checked all of my tyres. He said it was free, so I just gave him money to buy a pint. What lovely helpful people they are.

I visited my local National tyre centre Berkhamsted branch early this morning at 08-20 hrs (before opening time)and the staff couldn’t be more helpful.
They fitted me in without any problems l
left my vehicle with them, I was informed 1.5 hrs later by a phone call that my car was ready. I received 5 Star treatment. Thank you to all.

Tyre price was good. Ordering and payment process was good. An extra ten pounds to have a tyre fitted the same day is definitely NOT good. Will be considering other options in future.

I booked.
Went to Berkhamsted National tyre 10 minutes before appointment.
Garagiste said
“ they can’t do it - no free lifts “
“ it wasn’t his fault , as he is not in charge of reservation system and they didn’t check with them to see if they had a free lift
“ I should have called ahead “

That’s me booking a reservation for a hotel using booking.com .
And me getting to the hotel and they telling me they have no rooms and it’s not their fault.

You system is absolutely terrible.

What a total waste of time.

I wonder if you actually read the complaint. The main issue is with the booking system.
I was annoyed with that he berko garagiste. As I really didn’t want to know why he couldn’t do the job.
So again - I wonder if anyone at national understands the problem.

No matter - I won’t be going anywhere near this company.

Simplicity itself
I spent more time faffing around trying to get the tyre details on my own before I went to the website put in my registration number and they told me what I needed.
Ordering the tyres and booking a fitting slot was so convenient, just what life should be - Thank you

An easy experience start to finish. Great!

Easy to find what I wanted , easy to book and pay

Compared with trying to contact a Halfords' Autocentre, it was like night and day

Everything worked fine online - lets hope the actual fitting will be as smooth. And the price was £53 lower than the local competition!

Fixed the tyre fine.

Not best pleased as offered 8:30 and 11:30 time slot and arrive early. I booked 8:30 and arrived at 8:20 but told not open. Took tyre back at 8:30 and told it would take 2 hours will phone etc.. I had taken off car so easy to do the plug.
Would pop into shops and call back. Went back at 11:00 on hope finished in 11/2 hours but told next in queue and ready in half an hour. Received call after half hour and tyre done. had to rearranged day as wanted 8:30 which is why I booked. Order W7180749

Review is based upon my experience so far. Can't fault the staff as they have been brilliant. Prices of the tyres were very good due to the discounts. So why only 2 stars?

Ordered tyres online and it stated tyres are available next day for fitting, so I paid and booked for fitting. Had a call from the staff on the day I made the appointment saying tyres had not arrived and they have been brilliant in chasing this up. I could have gone elsewhere and had them fitted by now. The issue is that the website is very misleading and has caused issues and delays which isn't acceptable especially when your paying good money for the tyres. Still no sign of when the tyres will arrive or be fitted. Very disappointing experience so far.

As I stated I can't fault the staff, this is beyond their control and they are the ones that have to endure customers disappointed.

As I received this request 24 hours before I had my requested service done, I consider it utterly inane for some hopeless company like Trustpilot to rush to get an opinion without looking at any of the details. What a waste of time!

They sale good quality tyres in a good price :)
