I booked tyre fitting at the Wimbledon National Tyres / Halfords centre after the online booking system explicitly offered a drop-off service. I attended in good faith on that basis, only to be told on arrival that drop-off was not possible due to parking restrictions and that I would need to remain on site for several hours.
This restriction was not disclosed at the point of booking. Had it been made clear, I would have booked elsewhere.
I contacted customer services from the centre to try to resolve the issue. The call was extremely stressful, offered no resolution, and failed even to acknowledge that the booking had been made on a drop-off basis. As a result, a significant amount of my time was wasted and I was late for a subsequent appointment.
Senior management later admitted that the online system was incorrectly offering drop-off appointments for this site and confirmed this was a booking error. Despite acknowledging the error, the inconvenience caused, and the poor customer service handling, the company refused to offer any form of compensation, relying instead on internal policy and issuing a “full and final response”.
While the system issue may now be corrected for future customers, the complete lack of accountability or meaningful resolution means I have no confidence in using National Tyres / Halfords again.
Had two tyres replaced recently which was fine. No problems. However they told me that front disc and pads and rear pads all needed replacing with the front discs dangerously low. I got a second opinion from a reputable local garage (without saying what NT had told me) and they said all were fine except front pads which had 20% life left. Beware! I could have easily been duped into spending £450 unnecessarily.
I pulled up to ask where I should park or leave my car, but before I could even get out of the vehicle, I was shouted at and told to “park like a normal person.” The area had no clear parking spaces—just what appeared to be a residential street.
I explained that I was unsure where to park due to the lack of designated spots, but was met with more aggression, being told again to “park anywhere like a normal person.” This kind of attitude and lack of professionalism was completely uncalled for.
Decided to drive off and find a decent mechanic who treats customers with respect.

Went to this branch this morning as had a flat tyre and was looking for advice as to if it could be repaired. Firstly, it is not clear where to park so I mistakenly parked infront of the garage workshop as I have done in most other garages. I hoped somebody would see me and come out so I could speak to them. There seemed to be no one about, so I tentatively started walking through the workshop and had just spotted someone on reception and was about to speak to them, when someone shouted across from the other end of the workshop, telling me I was not allowed in this part and should walk around the front. His tone was rude and his manner was irritated and impatient. At no point did he address me with a friendly "hello" or any other basic civility. I remarked on this and said he had shouted "oi" across to me and he immdiately became defensive insisting he had said "Excuse me" but the point is the tone was rude and agressive. I explained that there wasn't clear signage and he then sarcastially showed me a sign which said "No Entry" which I had parked in front of. I accepted I had made a mistake but told him I was a customer and found his apporach incredibly rude. He continued arguing that he hadn't been. His manner was combatitive and remained impolite. I drove off as a colleague calmed him down.
I had hoped for 5 minutes of advice and instead came away shaken, upset and offended. Not a great experience from a company that's core values include "We focus on the customer".
I won't be returning here and would not recommend this business to anyone. I appreciate I made a mistake in where I parked and that I walked through the workshop but your team member would have known that this was a mistake and could have dealt with the situation differently. Also judging from his reaction, I feel sure other customers have made this genuine mistake, so I would suggest improving your signage.

bought 2 front tyres and front wheel alignment phoned the center because no discount applied for buying 2 tyres the person gave me a code and I went over it again and 10% was applied but for alignment £20 was not deducted after I paid for I realised that so I phoned again the the lady who answered she could not help me so she connected me to your IT department and after 10 minutes of explanation he gave me a job no and said someone will call me back with explanation and will it right and nothing happened!

Booked for mot + service. I was told Mot failed due to one dip light bulb not working and one tyre. I asked how much it would cost as I already paid for Mot + service. Not given a answer at the time over the phone Later received a call to say more work need to be done to replace rod end ball joint and cost would be £230. I said no. I collected the car with failed mot and service done. Later found out the one of the tyres being cut with a sharp object and changed from back to front where the mentioned track rod ball joint need to be replaced according to the garage.
