I had a wheel alignment appointment booked for Saturday 06.06.2026 afternoon Egham branch. Prior to the appointment, I received a call from National Tyres asking whether I could come in earlier. Unfortunately, I was unable to do so, so I attended at the original time of my booking.
When I arrived, I was informed that the technician responsible for carrying out the wheel alignment had already left for the day. It then became clear that the reason for the earlier phone call was related to the technician's availability. However, this was never explained to me during the call. Had I been informed that the service would not be available at my scheduled appointment time, I could have made alternative arrangements.
I am extremely disappointed with the way this situation was handled. I attended my appointment at the agreed time only to find that the service I had booked could not be provided. As a result, I requested a refund.
Given this experience, I do not intend to use National Tyres again in the future.

AVOID AVOID AVOID - I wouldn't even be giving 1 star. Took my car in for a deep DPF clean, the car has come out worse than it went in! They have also put my milage as 67000 when my milage is 90,020 and it just so happens to not be covered under warranty once it's done 24,000 miles since the DPF Clean. I was also not given the diagnostics included in the clean so they didn't make note of the soot levels before or after the clean and it was stated that I would get this information. I had the soot levels read before I handed it to them for the clean and funny enough when it had come back they were the same..... plus they promise they drove it for 20 minutes but they must have been going 2mph as they only covered 0.5 of a mile..... They have now locked out the Regen function on my car so now I have to pay £499 for a specialist company, who have informed me not to drive the vehicle as it will cause engine damage. I gave the garage the benefit of the doubt and contact them to ask them to change the mileage to the true amount. When asking them about the diagnostics they said that the DPF was fine and clear - not realising I got this checked on my way home. I proceeded to ask them for the diagnostics that were promised and the change of mileage on my invoice..... yet to receive the email from them. They also said they didn't take diagnostics and they aren't sure what they were or are. They just stated it's fine and clear.

So, I call Halfords (who I originally booked with) to discuss, having confidence that they would resolve this ASAP due to the fact that I cannot drive my car. But this was not the case they told me to wait 7 days (would not even refund me straight away!). After spending 2 hours on the phone they agreed they would call me back tomorrow. So currently awaiting a call back and money back.

They have been awful, I have never known such bad customer service in my life. I also mentioned that I have a 3hr commute to and from work everyday and that my father in law is severely ill in hospital (who I now cannot visit, due to the fact if I move my car it will damage my engine). Halfords you are a disgrace and so is your garage (National Tyres and Autocare, Telford, TF1 5AQ)

Just had 4 tyres and tracking done in National Tyres Street on our X1
Can not fault the service, customer care and how they treat your car.
First time we have used then and will certainly use again and recommend them.

Had a flat tyre only 6 days after having all 4 new ones, Joe and the team sorted the flat the same day and was fixed very quickly, thanks

Had 4 new tyres done today by jack and Peter , both were exceptional in there customer service and went over and beyond with advice and help on my concerns as only just purchased the vehicle , would highly recommend 👍👍👍

Absolute disgrace had a part fitted in December that is now faulty car hasn’t been looked at and already getting the excuses . There complaints department is a joke Also everything takes an age with repairs . My car is now unsafe to drive due to the shoddy workmanship and I already know this will be pammed off and they will claim it’s a different part

Terrible service. Fitter clearly poorly trained. Communications beyond clunky (passed through countless telephone numbers within the Halfords group). Was promised a follow up appointment to fit the tyres which should have been fitted during the original visit. Had to rearrange MOT. Later sent a message to say that this new appointment was not going to be honoured - leaving me with the prospect of having to move the MOT yet again. Woeful in every respect. What a shambles.

BOOKED WHEEL ALIGNMENT ONLINE £95 , IT TOOK THEM 20MN TO DO IT AT CATFORD CENTRE LONDON WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE!!! NO ALIGNMENT DONE ALL LIES !!! WOULDN'T USE THEM AGAIN INCLUDING HALFORDS !! BUNCH OF THIEVES AND COWBOYS.

Very poor service took the car for tracking and they looked at the car for 10 minutes and said our tracking system doesn’t fit on the wheels and said that you will have to go elsewhere what a shit services and we booked it in

Had my m.o.t done here no problems. Booked on line at a convenient time. Staff were very helpful and polite. No unwanted surprises either. Would highly recommend this place. The staff are great.

I ordered a tyre to be fitted on Wednesday between 8:30 and 6. My husband took the dog out and returned home at 7:55 to see the Halfords van driving off down the road. I then receive a text at 10 am saying that the 'vehicle wasnt there' and that they have rebooked me for Thursday, my car was always on the drive. I phoned them at 10 and on explaining the situation, the man on the phone said "oh for gods sake" and told me the fitter wont be coming back today. No apology or anything. I asked him if he could phone the fitter and ask him to come back but that was futile as the fitter never answered the phone! My husband has used the company twice and had a good service but this was a joke - absolutely zero customer service or apology. Wont be using them again.

Excellent service with staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend using them.

Despite me asking them not to overtighten the lock wheel nuts.
They said all good and they tighten according to manufacturers torque.
I had tyres fitted by national tyres on two of my cars wheels. One night I had a puncture on the motorway. I tried to remove the lock wheel nut on punctured tyre, I couldnt as it was too tight. I had to call the AA to undo the nut. THe engineer said it was on so tight, he couldnt remove it. Despite trying various methods and tools he had, he tried for over 1 hour. My car is 30 miles from where I live and I had to a taxi home costing £ 76
I am complaining because of the seriousness of the overtightening of the lock wheel nut that causes either shearing and / non removal of the nut. I have called National Tyres to complain gave details of my experience and she said she would speak to the centre who put the tyres on , so the could arrange an engineer to go and take / force the lock nuts off.
I still await a reply and have a car stranded 30 miles away on which the wheel cannot be removed. Poor service from their " tyre experts"

Order cancelled. Ordered tyres. Then day before fitting at home said they didn’t have a fitter. At the moment. Which indicates they only have one guy REALLY??? I said I was willing to wait till June. As it wasn’t urgent. So leave the order pending. I then get an Email saying I am being refunded. Sound like a scam to me. Or. Tyres not in stock. Or perhaps sold to cheaply. This happened before with them. A few years ago. But that time I drove 25 miles to there. Garage.
The representative I spoke to on the phone yesterday obviously ignored my request. And had a disinterested. Attitude on the phone. I can only assume I wasn’t the first to complain yesterday. I am concerned about the promised refund 9226126. If the company read this.
