This was by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I booked an appointment for 8:30am and arrived at the centre at 8:31am. Upon arrival, I met the manager at the reception, handed over my car, and clearly explained that I needed the vehicle back by the evening because I was travelling at 18:00. I requested a full diagnostic check on the car.

The manager collected my keys and assured me that I would be contacted once the work was completed. After waiting the entire day without any communication, I returned to the centre around 16:30 only to discover, to my shock and disappointment, that my car had not even been attended to.

What made the situation even worse was the manager’s completely unapologetic attitude. He casually stated that he only had one staff member available and showed absolutely no empathy or concern for the inconvenience and disruption this caused me. There was no professionalism, accountability, or respect for my time.

To make matters worse, at about 17:00, they finally attempted to scan the car, only to claim that the scanning machine was not working because the software was updating and he kept telling me “oh we would refund your money in 3-5 working days” as if he would also refund my time.

This level of disorganisation, incompetence, and lack of care is unacceptable. The manager’s unprofessional and inconsiderate behaviour completely ruined my travel plans and caused unnecessary stress and frustration.

SO NOW I NEED OILAND FILTER CHANGE WHEN TO BOOK IT IN AND TYRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT WAS ON NATIONAL TYRE A NEW MANAGER AND YES CASH HIS MADE OUT OF THE SAME MOULD AS TIM HELPFUL FRIENDLY CUSTOMER SERVICE 5 STAR AGAIN I WISH EVERYONE WAS AS HELPFUL AS THIS .

Took a perfectly decent car to them for m.o.t and service, came back as a fail, we paid for all the recommended work to be done. Spending nearly £1000 by this point. Car had driven in perfectly fine but would not drive out as they had broken the gear linkage cable through their negligence. The car drove in fine, passed a M.O .T done by them then would not drive out. They are refusing accountability for this and quoted £250 to put this right. Do not trust them with your car, they will break it and refuse to fix it. We requested the cctv footage from the day this happened, they are now claiming to have no cctv, we are almost certain that they do. Have sent formal complaint to the relevant department, complaint is 4 pages long just for reference.

TOTAL CON! website it not working to book and pay just so I called helpline. They booked £1036 confirmed.
However text just came through £1637!!!! Lied on the phone just to get the booking and Pay instore where they say they can’t match online pricing!!!! I will not be attending. Will be reporting to trading standards

Always get very efficient service. The staff go out of their way to help and will give good advice. They recently checked my exhaust which I thought was faulty but they advised was in good working order. No charge was made.

Very busy Saturday morning when I called in to have tyres checked . Staff I dealt with were both very helpful . Aimy was very friendly and chatty when I waited for tyres to be changed .
Jake very informative and also friendly and got my tyres changed really promptly despite how busy they were .

Booked online to swap two tyres. Paid £3 for time slot as well. Came 10 minutes before booked time. Car taken by mechanic 30 minutes after booked time slot. Waiting another 35 minutes changing 2 tyres!!! How this crap company can make any money on this service?

Tiverton branch has gone down hill fast. Car didn't have an oil leak before they did an oil service on it, then told me it's got a leak (go figure!). They didn't top up brake fluid and instead charged me for a new pollen filter - up selling tactics. Told me the car rough idles, without taking the time to diagnose the problem. Another garage that I have now switched to using, found a set of tools under the bonnet of my car that has been there since these people worked on my car and have thankfully corrected their incompetence.
The 'manager' changes every time I go there, no consistency or care taken when working on your vehicle. They didn't have anyone to do MOTs last time I went in. It's dark and gloomy in reception, the staff look bored and miserable. I have used this garage for many years but 2026 has been an eye opener... Avoid!

Terrible service and dishonest staff. Dont waste your money or your time with this terrible company. They snapped the locking wheel nut key and tried to hide it, didnt check wheel allignment which resulted in brand new tyres being worn to the wire in 3 months, quite happily let me drive away with children in the car without telling me the extent of the damage. Accepted no responsibility for the mistakes. Disgusting.

Excellent service. Hit a problem with locking wheel nuts however staff (Natalie ???) were very good, kept me informed and having kept the vehicle overnight managed to sort the issue and fix the problem. Very impressed with the service. Thankyou.

I arrived with a puncture at 7.50, the shutters were still down but Gary came out at 8 offered to look at my car earlier than the normal 8.30 start. I was on my way to work by 8.30. Fantastic service.

I have visited them a few times and always found them helpful and reliable. They are very busy, so I can understand some of the comments about customers having to wait.
When I took my car in today, they said it would be 30 -45 minutes. I got my car back in 30 minutes, so I am very satisfied.
I can thoroughly recommend them.

Booked in to have brake pads done booked in on Friday afternoon to get them done Monday morning 9am turned up 9am Monday to find them closed and two other customers also booked in one for 8 am and one for 9 turns out on bank holiday Monday they don't open til 10 ??? Eventually somebody turned up and said ok we will get it done so I went for a little walk half hour came back my car hadn't moved by 12.30 my car still hadn't been seen and after multiple enquiries all I got from the manager was I don't know if you've noticed but I only have 3 staff ??? Eventually the car went on to the ramp after 46 mins I asked the manager is there a problem he said yes we've got the wrong brake pads bearing in mind I had called in especially to book the car in on the Friday and have the discs measured to make sure right pads would be ordered eventually by 2 o'clock a van had come with right pads and I got it back absolute shit show from start to finish extremely rude no apologies or discount for my 5 hour wait certainly won't be using them again I'm surprised at Halfords putting their name to this shambolic outfit

Drop in on a busy bank holiday for a tyre repair. They were fully booked but managed to fit me in. Great service with friendly staff, can’t recommend them enough.

Had a tyre losing pressure and took it to National tyres in Bury. I also had a noise coming from my front offside area. They checked my tyre and let me know it was only a nail and it could be repaired £30 rather than a new tyre at £250. This is the second time they have been honest regarding the issue and saved me money. The noise was found to be a stone trapped between the brake pad and my tyre. Rob who assisted me was so helpful, knowledgeable and professional. It is so refreshing to find a company that put their customers first!!!!

Excellent customer service from Alex and his team. Great prices and professional service at a good price. I booked in for an MOT and 2 years service on my BMW x3 today and am a very happy customer. Totally recommend this garage for any make or model of vehicle. Your vehicle is in great hands. I will definitely be back in the future.

Used National tyres several times over the years, out of pure convenience really. Always painfully slow service. What I wasn't happy about this time is the chap got half way through changing my tyre, then buggered off for his lunch for half an hour with my van up on the jack. I just had to sit and wait while he had his sandwiches and coffee. 1hr 20mins I was in there.

Not exactly good customer service.
