Have used for two projects now and the last one about a year ago. As long as you are confident in designing or have someone design your kitchen. The quality is outstanding with a high level of finish not found in many kitchens. National Kitchens have been always extremely helpful even after kitchen has been delivered and paid for.
Hint you will never see the brand but this is a premium one and example can be found in John Lewis and Mereway Kitchens

We are totally delighted with the kitchen we ordered from National Kitchens. The units are well made, and solid quality, arriving already built and ready to install. We love the colour and finish, and were able to order the dream kitchen units and colour we really wanted, but couldn't afford elsewhere.
Alec was really helpful in the ordering process, which was straightforward, and offered helpful advice when considering end panels, and suggesting a contrasting colour for the shelving which looks fantastic. Also able to book the delivery of the kitchen to work around the kitchen fitters plans, and it was a month from order to delivery, which was fantastic with some places offering lead times of 3-4 months. The kitchen arrived when planned, and the 2 man service was a good choice. It was helpful to have a real person at the end of the phone for any questions, and Alec was prompt to return any calls and answer questions. I highly recommend them for value, quality and outstanding personal customer service.

Alec at National Kitchens was approachable, knowledgeable, exceedingly helpful and very, very patient. He answered each of my questions comprehensively and promptly (and, being a novice, there were many!) and gave me the information I needed to order my kitchen with confidence. There was no sales talk or pushiness — indeed, when I was about to order unnecessary end panels, he pointed this and suggested they might not be vital.
I have ended up with a gorgeous, high quality kitchen and saved a lot of money in the process. Thank you Alec for your first rate customer service.

It’s hard to praise Alec and the service he provides highly enough. We’ve spent many months planning and ordering our new kitchen with patient help and advice from Alec. The kitchen arrived on time with some delivery damage that Alec sorted without fuss in a matter of hours. He’s been fantastic in aftercare when a few small issues have cropped up, always going the extra mile to help. We now have a top quality kitchen to rival the best but at a fraction of the cost. I have no hesitation in recommending National Kitchen.

Alec provides a very high level of service and is exceptionally helpful and knowledgable. Even when a couple of minor issues cropped up he didn't duck the issue or disappear, but made sure that they were all resolved entirely to our satisfaction. We have had a number of people commenting on the kitchen and have recommended National Kitchens to two friends already.
I have no hesitation in giving Alec the highest rating as he provides great kitchens at great prices and a first rate service experience from start to finish.

The standard of the urban worktops are excellent, I had Alec dealing with my order and ensured we had the correct sizes for the island and side boards which fitted perfectly!. Great company to deal with highly recommend

Alec who handled my enquiries from start to finish has been great, all calls and emails returned promptly. The quality of the cabinets are top end and are made from Mereway who also supply John Lewis. We had a quote from John Lewis for exactly the same kitchen and finish which came to almost £10,000 more than the cost at National Kitchens...our cabinets also had the John Lewis badge on them that made me smile. I found it simple to design my own kitchen and hire a local cabinet maker to help fit the units.

Having compared at least 9 different kitchen suppliers, we moved ahead with national kitchens who offered the best value, quality and customer service combined. Alec's knowledge of the cabinets is streets ahead of all the kitchen designers we spoke to. Price for the kitchen cabinets was unbeatable and the quality of the cabinets was top notch! We love our kitchen and there really is no reason to buy your kitchen from anyone else!

I was worried about buying a kitchen online, but Alec at National Kitchens put my mind at ease. He walked me through every step and helped my design look better. The kitchen is amazing, I can't believe we got what we wanted so cheap! 10/10, would use again.

We ordered our kitchen through National Kitchens having initially seen the kitchen we wanted in John Lewis. We saved £7-8000 and have a beautiful highly functional kitchen. We had to put some work in - getting the design done by John Lewis for £50 then making sure we had ordered all parts correctly through National Kitchens. Due to our inexperience there were a couple of errors in the design which meant we ended up paying for one unit we couldn't use, but Alec was as helpful as he could be over this, and the savings we made overall more than compensated. Our builders were very impressed by the solidity of the kitchen and the easy of fitting solid units rather than flat packs. We are delighted!

It gives me great pleasure to write this review about National Kitchens and in particular about Alec who runs the show from answering your queries, taking your order, helping you to plan the layout, correcting any issues and literally bending over backwards to provide exemplorary customer service.

Alec put me at ease straight away as I was nervous about ordering from the internet however the kitchens they supplied from Mereway were available to view at a number of high end designer kitchen outlets local to me in
Hampstead. He helped me through the design and amazingly got to work with the supplier to build a bespoke tall corner unit which was the larder of our dreams. The lead time was reasonable [around 4-6 weeks]. The cost of the kitchen was about 30 percent cheaper than anywhere else.

All the units got delivered ready built and were solid carcasses with 19mm backs which is a significant quality upgrade from the likes of the high street kitchen outlets [Ma, Wi, IK, JL etc.]. There was one damaged unit - called Alec who immediately ordered a replacement which arrived a few days later - no questions asked.

This was the very best shopping experience I have ever had and when you are making a significant investment this quality of service is like gold-dust. Thank you Alec.

As a former builder I have fitted many kitchens of varying qualities and prices. The units provided by National kitchens I would definitely rate as good as they come. The range of units available is extremely comprehensive with a degree of flexibility in sizing not experienced with cheaper or even mid priced kitchens. I found Alec, who took my order to be very helpful, indeed saving me money by sugesting alternative finishes on the accessories I had chosen whilst providing exactly the same look I was trying to achieve.
All this for a price comparable to the kind of kitchen provided by a DIY store... but without the bits missing!!

Our experience of having kitchen units supplied by Alec at National Kitchens is happy and positive. Our holiday log cabin in Wales is rather isolated so it was important to have a reasonable quality of kitchen installed and fitted locally, which was successfully achieved.
For us the main points were help with the design, an on time delivery in Wales, good communication and good back up.
We added some smallish items to the original order, handled in a very helpful manner by Alec by the way; and as our home is fairly adjacent to Birmingham, Alec arranged for us to collect these items from the rather impressive factory there. Seeing the manufacturing facility also reinforced our view that National Kitchens supply decent quality kitchens.

After visiting ALL the main kitchen suppliers and doing a LOT of homework, we were sure enough we could design our own kitchen for our new extension as well if not better and find a direct to public supplier of high quality kitchen cabinetry to make it possible. My wife and I spent months looking and every time we thought we found a sound supplier we'd dig a little deeper and find unhappy customers and lawsuits. There are a lot of cowboys in this trade! Then we found National Kitchens UK. Not everyone has the skills or confidence to design their own kitchen, but in fact plenty lot of people do - but you need good info on the products (dimensions, materials,etc). and prices and want to know what you're getting in terms of quality. The info on the National Kitchens website had everything needed, and for the very few aspects we were not 100% sure about Alec was more than ready to provide that last piece of info or advice or a friendly check, e.g. 'have you thought about X?' or "don't forget you may need y." The quality is absolutely first rate. Same manufacturer as top-line in the top stores, at a MUCH lower price. Delivery was bang-on, delivery guy was super nice. I had a professional kitchen fitter friend who put them in for me and he said these were indeed top of the line in terms of build quality. Solid as rocks. Few minor additional bits and bobs were needed (a few extra handles, more plinth lengths, etc, but as with other reviewers, was totally down to my own minor oversight) but they were posted promptly with no issues at all. And all this was in the last few weeks before Christmas 2014! Everything was perfect. My wife and I look for high standards in all respects, and Alec and his company - products, service, communications, and follow-through - met them 100%. It is now one year later and absolutely no problems. National Kitchens UK and Alec is the real deal! I would recommend them without qualification.

We bought our kitchen back in 2007 after checking out Magnet and other options. Not only are we hugely impressed with the high quality of the products but the after-care service has been second to none. Alec has been courteous and kept us informed at all times. We needed a replacement part for one of the lights and the first unit we received was the wrong size because of a mistake on my part. Alec sent us a second replacement at no cost and has been extremely patient and focussed on getting the issue resolved.
I know where we'll go the next time we need a new kitchen !

We used National Kitchens about 5 years ago to purchase our new kitchen as we found out they used the same suppliers as some of the big retailers such as John Lewis, but at a lower cost due to their lower overheads. We found their website easy to navigate, and used the free software recommended to design the kitchen millimetre perfect, and more than anything we had real confidence in the service received from Alec who owns the company. There were a few bits and bobs that needed sorting following the initial delivery of my kitchen and they were sorted immediately at no cost or inconvenience to me. 5 years on and I realised I needed a couple of additional bits that i'd never finished putting on the hinges (at the time I didn't realise what they were - chrome plates to cover the hinges), and realised that i'd not got enough, (possibly because they weren't all supplied but possibly that I had misplaced them) and all I can say is that Alec was more than willing to help me again, and sent the replacements free of charge - even though I offered to pay. I know it's probably only a few quid (maybe as much as £50 though) but what a fantastic service!
