The new app is useless

The new app is useless. It doesnt work properly and it is really difficult to add railcard to it. Does not download to PC So many things wrong with it. Just change it back to the old one which worked fine. Please please listen to your customers. Not disabled friendly

Not disability friendly

Not disability friendly. Most lifts are always out of use, can’t walk up stairs so have to ask another passenger to get me up the stairs, the amount of money you all get paid each year you’d think a simple thing like a lift would be working. Don’t even get me started on the missed transfers because we’ve sat on a red signal for no reason. I started a new job 3 weeks ago and mostly every morning you’ve made me late. I give you £280 to go 17 miles a month. Absolute disgrace of a railway service.

6 trains cancelled - so bad

6 trains cancelled travelling since 10am from Guilford to Cheltenham, now 4.15pm. The ones that do arrive are only 2 carriages. Worcester Parkway with no working toilet and stuck there for 2 and a half hours. System is completely broken - avoid the trains if you can - don't give the b*****ds any money if you can avoid.

The new app is useless

The new app is useless. It seems to have been designed by people who don't use the train service in this country. So many things wrong with it. Just change it back to the old one which worked fine. Please please listen to your customers.

The new app is awful

The new app is awful. Just can't get on with it at all. The old one was very good and useful. This one is impossible to use, can't see anything when my keyboard comes up. Complete waste of time.

I went for some assessments and I have…

I went for some assessments and I have foto say I was not impressed with the superficialness of the interviewers and assessors , telling me I've really done at the interview and going to the point of even asking where I'd like to work ...On the tracks or with the signalling .

Then only to be told in an email that I was unsuccessful. Do not bother applying to this company .

Guildford

A truly appalling station with the worst kind of staff I have ever witnessed in my life. No trolleys or assistance with a large bag. I did ask if someone could assist me to carry a hold all as I'd just come in from Heathrow but they just laughed in my face. On other occasions I have asked basic questions at the ticket office and the staff in there are even worse. Rude, sarcastic and very upset when you disturb them on their handsets.
You would think that this government WANT folks to use trains more because they certainly hate people using cars but no, they have made train journeys into a horrible experience so best avoided and its better to check out the car pooling/sharing apps, where folks can hook up and join together and travel at a very reasonable price

The new enquiries app is hopeless.

The new enquiries app is hopeless.
I can’t see earlier trains to get an overall picture of the current service.
Like a lot of travellers I frequently use a range of stations and have to type them in each time.
It’s much harder to keep track of connecting services or plan for problems ahead.
It takes ages to look ahead to plan travel later in the day particularly at busy stations eg London Terminals, East Croydon etc
I would suggest that these represent the core functions of the app for most users.
I understand that these things need a new look occasionally but why would you remove ease of use and functionality.

Worse app ‘update’ I’ve seen

Worse app ‘update’ I’ve seen - removed some really useful aspect of the old app and added far more unnecessary and unhelpful aspects. Confusing and painful to use.

The new app is terrible

The new app is terrible and unusable. You now have to scroll to see more than one page. Impossible to plan when you can only see one train at a time. How do I revert the app?

I work for the railway

I work for the railway, commute 100 miles on 2 different operators & use NR information every day to manage my own journeys and help customers manage theirs. Wearing railway ID, (especially during disruption) is like driving an ice cream van on a hot day - everywhere you stop there’s a queue, but I’ve never minded because I’m proud to be able to help anyone I can, it’s my job. I don’t care that the old app wasn’t exactly a looker, it worked! Up until a month ago it was super useful, enabling me to gain quick access to information & fill the gaps left by the CIS displays & incoherent announcements. Now somebody who isn’t very good at their job is making me worse at mine, unacceptable.
Read the feedback and get rid of this abomination. Quickly!

One star because you cannot give no…

One star because you cannot give no stars. Bring back the previous version.

This app is so 'not good' it puts you off using the trains.

It would be a task to make it worse!

The train service appears to hate the rail user. My trains that had a five minute connection time now have almost 30 min wait. The timetable planners have got it so wrong. Laughable but no one is laughing....

App Update Big Mistake, Huge

New update on app to just look like the website is awful decision. UI is useless now, you can't even screenshot your train times or view them at a glance due to MASSIVE TEXT. We want information and not eons of white space. Also fav stations and view earlier trains is now gone. Imagine removal functionality of an app to make it look like a badly designed website? Crazy times we live in. The developers and testers did not do their job.

They somehow made it worse…

The previous version of the app wasn’t perfect, but it was better.

I now need to scroll continually to check train times when I could see a range of times on a single screen previously. This was handy for taking a screen shot, which I can no longer do.

Remember this is a phone app. You should try and think about what a phone user would want from it - not what appeals to you when sitting in your programmer’s chair.
