They were ok but I now wanted to raise an inquiry onlt to find that they are no longer trading

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!! Do not go anywhere near this company, they will offer you the cheapest price but with hidden costs and the worse customer service experience ever. they will take more than two weeks to reply to any email and you cannot even contact them by phone.

I dealt with someone called Stephen Lacey, who was very rude and not willing to help whatsoever. Please avoid this company at all costs, its better to pay a little more money and get better service.

Awful dealings with this firm. Even before they went bust, they did nothing on my purchase for 3 months.

Very little point in leaving a review now, seeing as they can’t make anyone else’s life miserable anymore but I do wish to make a mark!!

Ive just been told the relevant documents relating to the purchase of my property completed October 2023 and registration of lenders charge has not been sent to Land Registry for registration by my solicitor

Shockingly bad experience. They shut shop all of a sudden with little notice and left my property transaction in a lurch. Ran away with my money as well of course. Beats me how they can be allowed to get away like this.

What an absolute nightmare with NBM.
Not sure why SJL wasn't up to speed with what was happening in their office and he had over 30 years experience
They also lied on the phone to say they would not be closing down when they emailed the transfer authority for a signature as it was going to be completed by another firm in London.
Shocking service at the end.
They closed around my exchange of contact day too.
The new solicitors Hutchins & Co.in Central London were not very happy to get this file as they too got into a little difficulty and made overcharges of £605.80 at their final invoice and forgot to complete indemnity and convents that needed to be added weeks later which were on NBM projected invoices that they should have followed

Not quite sure how they received so many good reviews on Trustpilot, but the service received from this company was appalling. After not receiving the updated title from
land registry, we emailed NBM and got a
response saying they’d closed down. Not surprising really, but there’s nothing on the website to reflect this and SRA doesn’t seem to have barred them yet. Very very disappointed with Trustpilot and would think about using their reviews for future decisions.

Found the Help2Buy process and transition,quite a minefield, as I was requiring a full redemption.

Atrocious service - literally took our details an did NOTHING for three months. We have now moved to a professional firm. Not the one they have subsequently transferred all of those unfortunate enough to still be their client to.

Have been updated at every stage of the initial conveyancing process via email and within the NBM on-line portal. Very smooth document flow process, communication and digital copy of all documentation held within central repository, very convenient and timely. Would highly recommend.

From the very beginning of the property purchase process, it was clear that I had the right team on board, with Isaac leading the way. His deep understanding of the intricacies of the transaction and ability to explain each step and its significance was very comforting in a stressful time. Isaac was always very proactive in the communication, and I felt well-informed and thanks to his guidance and patience.

Due to circumstances of the purchase including some very tight deadlines set by the seller it was necessary to exchange and complete on the same day. Under a lot pressure, Isaac was nothing short of an expert. With good communication and planning we were able to have the right documents in the right place, on time. Isaacs ability to manage the high-stress situation with professionalism and a calm demeanor was reassuring and greatly appreciated. Especially as I am a client to likes to ask a lot of questions and be involved in the process.

I work in housing myself and am used to hearing people complain about solicitors during the buying process for a property so was pleasantly surprised when dealing with NBM. Honestly they have been an absolute pleasure to deal with especially Mel in the welcome team! They always answer the phone and reply to emails straight away. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for legal services

Everything fine so far. I really appreciate the online portal where all documents can be uploaded and read. Emails have been received regularly to tell me when there is a message or document available on the portal, although I do check there everyday anyway.

Two weeks in and everything is running very smoothly. The portal makes it very easy to check everything the team do each day, which is also backed up with daily emails. The Welcome team on the phone were very helpful.

I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with this conveyancing solicitor firm, and I must say that it was nothing short of a nightmare. Here's a breakdown of my grievances:

Inexcusable Delays: I engaged their services and paid them for the conveyancing process, but what should have taken a reasonable amount of time turned into an agonizingly long ordeal. They managed to stretch a straightforward conveyancing process to a whopping 4-month delay. It felt like they were more interested in taking my money than providing efficient service.

Post-Transaction Ghosting: Once the conveyancing deal was completed, their level of service plummeted to absolute zero. It's as though they believed their job was done after the property changed hands. When I needed assistance or had questions related to my property, they were nowhere to be found. Emails and calls went unanswered, leaving me in the dark.

Communication Black Hole: The most infuriating aspect of their service was their inability to respond when I was in dire need. I encountered a dispute with my neighbor over a boundary issue, and I turned to them for help and guidance, which is precisely what a solicitor is supposed to do. However, my pleas for assistance were met with silence. No matter how many emails and calls I made, they remained unresponsive. It's baffling and utterly unprofessional.

In summary, this conveyancing solicitor firm's performance has been abysmal. They've shown a complete disregard for their clients once they've collected their fees, leaving you to fend for yourself when you need their expertise the most. I would strongly advise against using their services and, if possible, seek a more reliable and client-focused firm for your legal needs.

Easy, effective and very reasonably priced. Communication was great. Much better than I've experienced in the past with other similar services.

Very proactive even when the sellers solicitor had not been so forthcoming. Super quick response at all times! Highly recommend.

Chose them because they were the cheapest, the sales reps will try anything to get you signed up with them if they end up speaking with you over the phone. Unfortunately my sale didn't go ahead and I already paid a few fees with them, they could've refunded one of them which was for the ID checks, however they decided to still carry out the ID check even after I instructed that the sale is not going ahead and my message was aknowledged...

Update:

Following the review I had a call to discuss the complaint, at the end of the phone call was told that someone will call back and never received a callback. They do not take ownership of their work nor do they do what they say they will do.

An absolute car crash of a solicitors practice. No communication, poor accuracy, impossible to get hold of and does Mr Licence actually exist? Held up our transaction by their complete inefficiency.

The only problem I have had is the welcome team have asked for some information twice. But has soon been sorted out. The Cambridge office have been very helpful.
