Neptune - Winchester Reviews 

I recently used the Neptune Winchester design service with Julie and Lucy. The results were just lovely and styled beautifully. We love our new furniture and how it ties in with our existing antiques. Thank you so much!

Three stars is an average. My experience was five stars for the in-shop service (Winchester), the customer care over the phone ahead of delivery, and the lovely sofa itself. But the delivery was disappointing. Setting aside the pretentiousness of "white glove" in the description, I got the 30 minutes away call that was meant for another customer. Having made my way home it was another two hours before they turned up.

Went to buy replacement for 2 broken drinking glasses, told they only sell on sets of 6. Looked at the glasses with the same name but those on display were slightly different from the ones we had. No other option so ordered a set of 6. When they arrived there were different again from those on display and massively different from the 4 glasses we had. Staff allowed us to buy six of the display glasses that were marginally different from those we had. Whole experience unsatisfactory.

Used the design service to create a whole new room. The consultation visit was great fun and the final result exceeded expectation, the designer really captured what we wanted and it feels so comfortable and our style but so much better executed. Customer service really good. Delivery day was great!

Following my review being posted, I was contacted by Neptune who seemed genuinely committed to making things right. My design fee was refunded and I was even offered a voucher to spend online.

They did this without ever asking me to update my review, which impressed me. Hence I've decided to moderate my initial review.

Paid for a design service to help us maximise the storage and usability of our small kitchen area but was deeply disappointed with the service and result.

Each iteration took ages to be produced only to provide 'solutions' that either couldn't fit or didn't really solve our problem or address our requirements. We really didn't feel we were being given any design expertise and ended up deciding we were better doing it ourselves.

There also seemed to be an assumption that once we'd paid for a design service, we were 'hooked' and wouldn't question any of the pricing. Whereas we were fully prepared to pay for quality cabinets and really liked the Neptune products, it became clear on inspection that their pricing was just ridiculous, such as £550 for a simple shelf!

When we then realised that we would still need to separately organise and project manage all the removal/disposal of our old kitchen, tiling, electrics, plumbing and making good... we really had to wonder why we should even consider going with Neptune.

Fab experience in Neptune in Winchester at the weekend.

Wow soooo very much to choose from - came away with way too much but honestly you won’t be disappointed with this store.

Every staff member was so knowledgeable and friendly.

Can’t wait to go back.

Three months delivery time but we are very pleased with the settee which is the second one we have purchased from Neptune. Disappointed however that one of the brackets was broken and we are awaiting a replacement.

We received very helpful and attentive service as we have come to experience as normal at the Winchester store. We visited the store to see the Everhot mini stove and select a colour before placing an order. The team provided the samples and allowed us to take the colour we ordered home to check it was a good match. We purchased a wicker tray and the team checked the size would fit for our Henley coffee table. As we left before our order confirmation was printed (my error) this was posted to us by Ella.

Visited the Winchester store and experienced excellent service. I made a purchase and had a further query. The information given by the team was very helpful and appreciated.
I love visiting Neptune stores and looking at ideas and colours.

Super efficient, lovely friendly staff

We went into the Winchester store to order a care kit for our Arundel table, ended up buying 2 hurricane lanterns in the sale then said we needed a touch up pot for our Havana Lloyd Loom chairs and they very kindly gave us an eggshell and emulsion tester pot for free. Great service and lovely products.

Bet y helpful staff know there product very well and they understand there stock. Have tried to shop at other Neptune stores. In future I will only go to Winchester well done guys

Arrived before estimated delivery date. Goods in good condition and up to Neptune’s usual high standard.

Kind responsive staff and excellent product

Started online chat as needed replacement chair leg rubbers for old style Boscombe chair.
Photos & sizes given & lady was very helpful.
2 hours later another lady called to say she had taken over my details & had remembered the chair as she had worked for Neptune for 8 years. Took payment for 24 rubber feet :)

However, next day 24 Boscombe TABLE leg rubbers arrived?? Called to complain, I had to send more photos & measurements to young gentleman who apologised.
Same lady called back, did NOT apologise but said she thought the table rubbers would fit, (why would I want rubbers for 6 tables??)even though I sent a photo of an existing rubber on a tape measure? Clearly ignored photo?

Next day courier collected £6 worth of table leg rubbers!
Following day the correct chair leg rubbers arrived by courier :) very pleased as all fit great & my 2011 Boscombe & chairs are back to looking good & not scratching the patio!

Hence the 4 stars…
