At first I was a little bit sceptical of the quality of the service Nesto would propose. I was completely pleased to deal with Nesto. Both brokers I interacted with were more than helpful and friendly. Alec and Stephanie were amazing and quick to answer any of my questions. This is the first time I buy a house and for sure I will be back when it's time to renew my mortgage.

We renewed our mortgage with Nesto in Q1/Q2 of 2022. If we could go back in time, we would not use them. The renewal took nearly 2 months to complete. We provided the information that was asked within 24-48 hours at each step. We never dealt with the same person for more than one task, which ended up with us questioning the privacy of our information. We were also asked to submit the same documents multiple times to different people. There were weeks at a time where we did not know the status of our application, thankfully we were only renewing not buying a new home. Once it came down to signing the actual documents, the person who was responsible for this (my understanding was that they were contracted by Nesto), tried to change our appointment multiple times after telling her we were unavailable during the time she kept suggesting. She arrived late to our home to sign the documents, came unprepared (did not have a proper pen or correction tape, documents were creased and disheveled), she did not review our documentation prior to reviewing it with us, so when we had questions she could not answer them and told us to get in contact with Nesto instead.

Since signing our mortgage it's been hard to get a hold of competent representatives (you send an email to an general mailbox and any agent will pick it up). Your single inquiry will be answered by multiple people. We originally signed on for a variable mortgage and I when asked for details about locking it into a fixed rate (unfortunate timing on our part and a little stressful, with prime increasing steadily in 2022), I had to go through a couple agents before getting correct information on interest rates and what our actual mortgage payment would be, after giving all information on my first email to the general mailbox.

I did not look up any online reviews before deciding to go with Nesto (and still have not, at the time of writing this review), so part of the blame could be placed on me for not doing my homework. I don't think we were high maintenance clients, although it was our first renewal so did we had a few questions. Our experience could be the norm or an anomaly, but if you are looking for lack of a better term, "intimate experience" when renewing or signing up for a new mortgage, I would look elsewhere. Once our 5 year term is up, we will be looking elsewhere for our renewal and will be going back to a traditional mortgage broker which is what we used on our initial mortgage.

I contacted Nesto for a mortgage. They had the best rate. Contact with them was swift and precise, straight to the point. Eveything is online which I like. So I closed the deal with them ;-) and I am super satisfied.

Happy with the products and how it was dealt all online and phone calls. Not perfect, but I would clearly do business with again.

Excellence from everyone with whom i have dealt during my first experience with nesto company, Adel and Ani were fabulous, responsive, patient and professional.

Repeatedly had to resend same documents to various Nesto offices. I understand due to privacy law, the need to resend to banker, however I do not know why your offices could not share docs.

I found the entire experience with Nesto excellent. Excellent ongoing communication and flexibility. Nothing derogatory to report.

They are the best and without competitor!

You will definitely get the best rate available anywhere without having to fight for it. The mortgage terms they offer are clearly explained and well presented. The application process is mostly smooth and entirely remote. The problem we had was they dragged our application process for weeks without really explaining what was taking so long. Fortunately, the seller was not in a rush. But we could've easily lost our house because of their processing delay (about a month - month and a half).

I was unimpressed, frustrated and disappointed with the service, and would never recommend Nesto. The offer of a mortgage with EQ is what brought me in, but that wasn't an option I was even really offered. There were many mistakes made by the Nesto team regarding my requirements, and a mortgage was secured that didn't meet my needs, despite my having clearly identified and communicated them. I was assured several times that it was correct and that I should sign, but I refused as the contractual language didn't seem right. Finally, after several weeks and more investigation from Nesto, with very little communication to me, it was discovered that the contract was indeed incorrect, despite everything the Nesto agent said earlier. This delay meant I lost out on the interest rate I had previously qualified due to the quick rise of interest rates, and now I am stuck with a higher rate, through no fault of my own. Some attempt at compensation was made, but it I no way covered my future losses due to this. It was an overall terrible experience!

The team at Nesto did an amazing job helping me and my wife buy our first home at a great rate. They spent hours calmly listening to all our questions and helping us understand the ins and outs. I'd like to give a special mention to Elischa who was super friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. He felt more like an independent advisor that had my best interest at heart than someone trying to sell me a mortgage. Alin was also incredibly helpful in getting all the requisite documents and information from us and helping make sure everything was in order. The nicest team of people I've had the pleasure of dealing with coupled with a great rate makes this an easy recommendation for anyone looking for a mortgage.

The service we received during our mortgage transfer from Nisrine and Jessica was outstanding. They were both very knowledgeable and informative on the steps of the process they were tasked with. All of our imediate questions were quickly answered and any follow ups (especially on Jessica's part) were also done very swiftly. We were very satisfied with our rate and, despite being on a time crunch, the process was extremely smooth and all done online! Would highly recommend Nesto.

Stay away. Nesto was very slow in processing my mortgage application, follow-up requests, and lacking in responsiveness resulting in substantial delays in the home purchasing process.
However, what made this company truly unique is that they managed to wire the entire mortgage balance amount to a WRONG TRUST ACCOUNT on the closing day.
Even if the advertised rate is 0.05% below their nearest competitor, it is certainly not worth all the stress and financial consequences of failing to complete the purchase.

My experience with Nesto has been excellent! The reason for that - its people - Samuel Grar and Alin Ayvatyan. They are a fantastic team and where able to assist us with our financing flawlessly. Excellent streamlined process. The UI is simple ,clear to use and is clear about the information to provide. Nesto ensure you are aware of all the different steps along the way, and ensure you understand the different offers. Had more options and and longer discussions with Nesto then from my regular local Bank.
