Very easy to deal with from the start. Kept me well informed of all the process and worked with me to achieve my target date , actually exceeded it which was exceptional.

We used Newtons for the sale of my mothers house.
As we haven't used a solicitor for 30 years we had to find a local company to handle the sale.
I phoned 4 different companies and 3 of them took a message and nobody even phoned me back.
Newtons got back to me straight away so we went with them. I just wanted someone to manage the sale in a professional way and if they can't even return a call it's not a good sign.
I spoke to Denise and was straight away impressed with her no nonsense aproach.
We asked her to handle the sale and it went very smoothly. I never once had to chase Denise to find out what was happening and she was very proactive
She was ably assisted by Peter who handled the documentation. You will find that access to a scanner helps to email documents

If you need professionalism, look no further. I have been very fortunate to deal with Jacqui Foley and Michael Prudhoe twice for conveyancing and have been extremely impressed. They make a superb team and I literally cannot fault them. Michael even came into work early requiring a legally binding phone call because I was in a different time zone. Every email or query is responded to quickly and I have felt nothing but relief at having two such competent individuals dealing with my affairs.

We recently purchased a bungalow, with the helpful services of Meryn Astwood and Abbi Brown from the Knaresborough branch of Newtons. Throughout, they were always ahead of the game and were able to quickly establish the true facts when the seller’s solicitor incorrectly suggested a hold-up on our side of the proceedings. And although the exchange was cancelled on more than one occasion, again due to issues on the seller’s side, we were kept fully informed of the situation. Well done!

Terrible experience with Newtons. I never felt they advocated my position or valued me as a client. They were frequently too busy to address my matter or reply to my emails. I was repeatedly billed for chasing Newtons to act and progress the matter. There was no provision for the matter to be handled whilst my solicitor was on leave. Action was rarely taken by the solicitor, rather someone on her behalf billing me at her rate. I raised several complaints that were never addressed by the company.
Overall my situation was made far worse by Newtons and cost alot more than estimated. Initially I was content to instruct a solicitor on higher rate hoping it would be money well spent. However I did not see any value in the vast sums billed by Newtons and I deeply regret instructing them to act on my behalf.

Fantastic service, really appreciate what newtons team have done for me in such a tight time frame.
