Two major problems:
1) the contact phone number for Dublin Airport 00353 1 605 7588 - the number you will need to call if you have a breakdown [UPDATE: NOT CORRECT - see reply from NewWay below] - has never worked during the time we dealt with the company. If we'd tried this number before we hired, we would not have gone ahead.
2) This company owes us € 374 and shows no sign of paying [UPDATE: now received - see comment at end]. We had to change the vehicle from an estate car to a smaller one on 1 July and the confirmation email said: "Refund Due at Pickup € 374.00". Except when we asked for this at pickup, we were told it would be "automatically dealt with by head office". It is now 28 July and no sign of a refund.
Update 1 August: when we got tired of waiting for the refund and submitted a complaint we received prompt, courteous and helpful replies by email, and the refund did finally appear on our card on 31 July. However this was 16 working days after we returned the car and 20 working days after the date the refund was promised (pickup on 4 July).
We tried to use the phone number I quoted several times (during the day) to ask about our refund, but it always cut off immediately.

Really easy to book. Swift pick up and drop off process. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Great to not have to deal with the usual ‘up selling’
Car had a lot of minor scrapes and dings when we collected it, which made us a little anxious about how they would know we hadn’t added to it on return. We took about 30 photos, but wasn’t necessary, as no problem when dropping it off.
It had been washed and hoovered out before we picked it up, but not valeted, so we were a bit disappointed that it wasn’t as clean inside as we’d expected.
Integrated sat nav system (at no extra cost) was a welcome extra.

I have never understood why it takes so long to process a car hire when you have already given the company your details but from the time I arrived at the Neway desk to leaving with my documents it was no more than two minutes - perfect!

At the pick up area at Dublin airport after waiting 15-20 min for our car we were told the car was ready but the navigation was locked. They gave us a Garman to use as a backup.
During the next two weeks the battery died 3 times. We had to have AA out to restart battery. This affected our plans and we had to worry every time we were hot whether the would start or not.
This is not acceptable service.
The response to my calls for help were timely with no pushback.
I am a repeat customer and am disappointed with this experience.

I had the car booked for 10am. My flight was delayed and I didn’t get to the desk until 1pm. First they couldn’t find my booking then told me that my car was given away. I had prepaid!! Does it matter if I’m in the car or not. I’d payed for it and they operate in an airport,,, they must be aware of flight delays!! I then had to go to another location as they didn’t have a car where it should have been, in the airport! I’ve used this company a lot and normally everything is fine but I got a smaller car than booked and had to get a bus to another location to collect the car and do the same in reverse when I had to drop it back!

Easy to take or leave the car in Dublin. We had an issue with a light saying oil service in the car and they answered quickly and were helpfull. Expensive when you take all inclusive but there are no more worries

I've recently used NewWay for the seventh time and can honestly say, that I will never use another rental company again. Never change a winning team! Everything is included in the (very competitive) price - insurance, cross-border fee etc.. With one exception to date, pick-up and return is at Terminal 2 in Dublin Airport. My husband is wheelchair-bound and, after the one occasion where I, travelling alone so it didn't matter to me, had to pick up the car via shuttle-bus, I wrote an email requesting terminal pick-up for my subsequent rental some weeks later (with husband) and received a prompt reply saying that my request would be honoured, no problem! I can unreservedly recommend this company and my five stars are based on 100% customer satisfaction!

Our car was not ready when we arrived. After waiting, we were given a car with significant damage including damage to the front tire which we did not notice how bad it was until we looked at the pictures after the tire blew within an hour of us leaving the Dublin Airport. It was extremely difficult to get anyone to answer the phone. My husband must have called 40 times. We ended up renting a car from another company and had a much better experience for about the same price. I would not recommend New Way.

Collection was perfect. Could not be faulted.
Finding a petrol station on return was impossible due to traffic and lack of familiarity with the area, so I will get hit with a hefty surcharge
The less said about the transfer bus from drop off the better. Appalling. Seats soaking. Crammed. No announcements. Don't blame NewWay for this as it was a shared service.

I had a great experience hiring a car from this company. The whole process was smooth from start to finish. Collection at the desk was quick and efficient, with no delays or issues, and I was soon on my way. The car was exactly as described, clean and in excellent condition. The staff member who assisted me was friendly, professional, and pleasant throughout. Returning the car was just as straightforward and hassle-free.
Although it cost a little more than standard car hire, having everything included in one upfront price gave me real peace of mind. There was no need to worry about arranging separate insurance or unexpected extras, which made the whole experience much more relaxed.
Overall, an excellent service, and I would happily use this company again.

Overall was pleased with the experience, one price as advertised, brand new car which was fine. Unfortunately the lady at the desk was not particularly friendly which is fine, this meant though that when trying to understand where and what we were doing, we felt rushed off even though we were the only customers at that time. This resulted in us missing the bus to the car park as we where looking for the neway sign the busses don't have that. This lead to us not arriving at the car park 40 minutes later making us late for the rest of the day. Mistake on our part but the gentleman before us was also confused as us and just as late.

It was easy to pickup and drop off. The only hitch was a typo on the handout on where to return to terminal 2 at the Dublin Airport. We picked up in Dublin city so did not have a reference for the location at the airport, but we figured it out and drop off was nice and easy.

Great service, no hassle whatsoever, very smooth booking process, very smooth car check in/check out. Newway should be an example for the other car rental companies!

Very good, almost new cars, well maintained, with low fuel consumption. Very quick pick up and return procedures, fully insured.

NewWay car hire advertises as an independent company, different from the rest with very good reviews and service. But what you get is an Avis representative as desk in airport and you pick up car at Avis outlet. Also when you have problem with car you are asked to call an AVIS number who don’t answer and refer you to emergency breakdown number instead. Does not sound very independent to me. I paid more because I thought NewWay was different. Beware!!

We travelled from Aus to Ireland and the Booking, collection and drop off were all very simple. No pressure to add extras.
