Many people found the app and website difficult to use, citing complicated security procedures and frequent login failures, often requiring multiple attempts. Users reported significant frustration with the verification process, including issues with photo ID and video submissions, making account access nearly impossible. Information missing or incorrect.

I was hoping to view blood test results. Nothing at all available. Only a record of test appointments. Also stated that my repeat prescription was not active, the opposite is true. Very disappointed, this could be an useful tool if administered properly.

Potentially dangerous information

I have 3 upcoming hospital appointments (2 for my cancer)) with all 3 main Sheffield NHS hospitals but when I checked the app it said I had none! When I queried the NHS, I was told that “some areas are not connected”!!!
What is the point of a nationwide NHS app if if it doesn’t include any of the major hospitals in England’s 4th biggest city ???!!

Useless app.

Many appointments and test results are not there.
Sometimes I can login with fingerprint and sometimes this does not work.
Over 40 reviews on here and only one was happy!

This app is absolutely useless

This app is absolutely useless. Massively over complicated and ineffective login process with unnecessary and unusable 2fa, confusing user interface, lack of support and I suspect deliberately hostile to older or non tech savvy users (I'm not that) . This is basically a firewall to prevent people accessing health services so they can conveniently just die and not be a burden on the state.

Terrible service

Terrible service! You go on the app and appointments are always temporarily unavailable, I can’t even book an appointment. Had to wait two weeks prior just to see a doctor who didn’t want to check my symptoms properly or read what I put in my nots due to me losing my voice. App is really no good, doctors don’t even update my information on my records lol. I’ve had a few treatments at hospital and the app just no nots nothing, supposed to have my records.

My experience over the last few years…

My experience over the last few years is that the messages relating to repeat prescriptions and appointments are inconsistent, inadequate and misleading. For instance today I had a telephone appointment, which was true, however recently the NHS App included a message giving the location as a surgery some 10 miles away. Had I gone I would have missed the appointment. As surgeries have no input to this they are not interested (obviously) in hearing suggestions or complaints. The NHS need to the App from the user’s perspective and get users feedback.

Usual stuff from the NHS

I get messages for months saying I need to change over to the nhs app from eMed.

Then when I do, it doesn’t allow me to book appointments through it.

Still using eMed as a result

Walk/drive to the surgery, it's easier

Tried to ask for help from the app support team. As with all I,T, workers they think that you should know as much as them and you are stupid if you don't
Zero help from them
It's customer service is poor, they just pass the problem back to you

Glad to see it's not just me who thinks the app is a pain (excuse the pun!) Thought I'd download the app and set it up with my details but honestly, I might as well walk 2 miles to the surgery and find out what I want to know. Photo of I.D,photo of face,or video if that doesn't work and now a 2 day wait for confirmation that it's all set up. Really?

subpar platform for repeat prescriptions

I love the NHS and deeply appreciate what they do, but it’s clear to see where all the money goes instead of reaching the front line. This system appears to have been designed by school children and is administered by individuals lacking competence. I have successfully used a system with my surgery for years, only to now be forced to rely on this subpar platform for repeat prescriptions. Despite knowing my login details, password, date of birth, and postcode, I am repeatedly unable to access my account. The options continually lead to a message stating, 'There is already an NHS account linked to your details.' As a systems analyst, I can confidently say this is one of the most poorly designed websites I have ever encountered. Please address this urgently—it is both frustrating and embarrassing.

On the contrary (from previous app…

On the contrary (from previous app users' reviews of the NHS App), I really find the app very handy and intuitive. I really do not need to contact my GP when I have to review my blood tests' results, that is, when there is nothing out of the ordinary to be concerned about. The results of the blood tests and other medical information are well communicated in a layman's language. The app sends push notifications when you need to have any vaccinations in a seasonal and timely manner. Also, my GP finds this app as a fantastic medium to reach out to me in a very well personalised manner. I can go on and on but I shall end it here! As for a digital-savvy person just as myself, I really commend the level of ingenuity and innovation being inputted into this software.

What a load of Rubbish, / Avoid

What a load of Rubbish, Avoid like the Plague, been trying for weeks to see my account and gain access, still cannot see nothing.
NHS app email service is a joke, do not use.
Reported this to Medical board, will get no response, because this just shows us the state of our country.
If I could give this app a minus score I would. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. RUBBISH.

The App is beyond useless

The App is beyond useless. Can’t get it to link to GP. Can’t see anything on it. Wasted hours and hours trying to get it to work. Presumably just a data gathering exercise for foreign company(ies)?

worst national health service in Europe

Very poor system and complicated to find the required service even for young and educated people, no chance for elder people to use it. The repeat prescription request page is not available and the same with making appointment with doctors.
Their website is worse than their services particularly A&E. This is not my personal attitude, many people including doctors & nurses who work directly with NHS are in this belief that there is no professional organisation to sort out the current chaos therefore improve expectation with NHS system is just a dream.
