Profiteering on some repairs and inability on others
Nibe associated engineer installed our ground source heat pump less than 4 years ago. Earlier this year the pipework developed a leak. Installer declared he was unable to fix so I had to bring in another engineer to replace the problem joint. This cost almost £600. Also fault appeared with pressure vessel. Nibe charged double the normal price for the vessel and the origin installer charged 3 hours for a half hour job. Very disappointed with this profiteering.

I have reviewed the points you have raised. I can see that you contacted our Homeowner Care Team to request pricing for an expansion vessel. As advised, we do not sell products directly to end users, and for this reason, you were correctly directed to merchants and distributors who supply our products.
I understand that you queried the pricing provided and requested confirmation of what had been charged to one of our customers. This is not information that we would disclose. Pricing between NIBE and our customers is commercially sensitive and confidential, and therefore cannot be shared.
In relation to the costs you have incurred with your original installer, if you feel that you have been charged for more time than was spent on site, I would recommend that you raise this directly with them. Our installers and approved repair and maintenance partners operate independently and set their own pricing for labour, travel, and time on site. These charges are not determined or controlled by NIBE Energy Systems Ltd.

We had Daryl to our newly installed system. There were a number of problems with the system, which Daryl systematically found. He got everything up and running. Daryl clearly has a great knowledge and background with the underfloor heating systems. Couldn’t recommend him enough.
