Terrible customer service
I placed an order for Wednesday. Then on Saturday I realised that I could not take delivery of the order so I tried to cancel (they say you can cancel until 9am of the day of delivery). I called them 17 (yes seventeen times) and they NEVER answer the phone. I am so annoyed, I'll never use them again.
Calabrian chillies in oil
I could not find a jar of Calabrian chilis in oil on any of the major supermarkets or small shops in my area.
When I found Nifeislife in an add I press the button and hay presto found what I was looking for. As I looked at all the products that they sell my mouth was watering and I wish I was close to shopping from them.
Monday, I ordered Wednesday morning I received my parcel.
At first glance, I noticed how well everything was packed. The Pollystarring box had all my fresh produce packed with ice cubes to keep fresh. The Calabrian chilies packed safe, so the glass jars did not break. I understood very well their instruction of the price going up or down as you do when shopping in any shop or supermarket.
As a wholly satisfying experience, I had will recommend to my friends what an excellent shopping experience I had. THANK YOU, Daniele, for answering my email promptly reporting my parcel was well delivered.

Lardo was out of stock but I was not informed about it. If I was I would cancel whole order as this was main thing I wanted.

FOR PEACE OF MIND AND A CHANCE OF A DELIVERY - BUY ELSEWHERE
After our first delivery was 4 days late, we thought we would give Nife is Life a second chance.
Bad decision. The second order is also already 4 days late - and still not here. I held for 35 minutes before the phone was answered. Daniel was nice but that is not good enough.
It is not enough to blame the courier, though DPD is dreadful in general if you don't live in the centre of a big conurbation. But to continue using them shows disrespect for Nife is Life customers.
How can they expect dairy products to be fresh after 5 days roaming around the country. I am speaking to Trading Standards about this.
I should have known with a daft name like Nife is Life, the company could not be trusted.

I am surprised to see such a low rating for this company. I have been buying buffalo mozzarella from nife is life for over ten years and both the quality of the products and the service is outstanding. Any delay or substitution is dealt with professionally and promptly. A great online shop

Delivered order to next door neighbour despite leaving explicit instructions with DPD, asked DPD to collect from neighbour refused.Advised by Alessandra at Nifeislife I would get a refund when asking for an order to replace the wrongly delivered one.
Still awaiting refund, last time ordered was sent out of date Tallegio, only got refund when sent scanned pictures of out of date label.

This was a reasonably good place to shop about three years ago but has steadily gone down hill. The prices have gone through the roof and the quality has gone through the floor. The warehouse staff seem to be more interested in shouting and screaming at each other rather than helping a customer like me who used to prefer to go to the warehouse to pick up my favourite products. The warehouse staff shunt you to the office and the office staff are always busy helping other customers over the phone.My last visit was on Monday but I walked out as soon I realised there was another argument brewing among the warehouse staff. Luckily Nifeislife or Maya UK as its now known is no longer the only place to buy Italian products from. I can't imagine this business will still be trading this time next year and even if its is I shall not be setting foot in the warehouse ever again.
Lovely products
Lovely products - made me feel as if I'm living in Italy again! I am a food writer and really appreciate great Italian ingredients.Their products are fantastic... really fresh buffalo mozzarella, burrata and yummy salami, olives etc. I also tried a couple of their home-made ready meals made to order. The bolognese sauce was really good and the octopus salad was superb, as were the cannoli. I was very impressed by the quality of the products!

Terrible experience
Terrible experience. Order was not delivered, no telephone calls from the company and when I asked for a refund, they decided to pay me back half of the money.
Horrendous experience
Horrendous experience, they are overpriced and slow on delivery and short dates and just plain horrendous as an expensive experience.
Over The Moon
We recently bought a pizza oven, and we've excitedly looked for the most authentic Italian ingredients. A friend recommended a certain brand of tomatoes, and we stumbled upon this site while searching. We bought all of our ingredients from here, and are absolutely delighted with the goods and the service - our good were delivered on a Sunday morning. They also put a free pack of Italian nougat in the box.
One slight concern was the 4 packs of Buffalo Mozzarella only has 4 days until it expires. I guess an excuse to have pizza during the week too :)
Not trustworthy
I placed an order that was supposed to be delivered the next day.
On the day I receive a text saying that the item was not in stock and a phone number for me to call them about it...
I try and phone and no one picks up.
Useless. I ended up cancelling the order by email.
I haven't used their website anymore but several weeks later I got a delivery for an order I haven't placed.
They wanted me to pay over a £100 cash for a order I haven't placed, mad.
Extremely disorganised company
Used to be great, now terrible
For years, Nifeislife delivered quality food and superb delivery. That all changed this past year. The first order that I placed this year did not arrive on the specified date. I telephoned repeatedly but anytime that the phone was answered, they hung up before I could say anything- many times I could hear them laughing. The order came three days later and I refused it. Within an hour, they called me and I explained I did not want rotten food. They did give me my money back. I decided to give them another chance as they had been great in the past. That order was delivered without any problems. So I ordered last week and the order came on time but they had placed the figs outside of the cooler and they were smashed. The cooler had only two tiny bags of coolant and they were warm so all of the food was hot. The lettuce was black and slimy. I sent pictures and many emails and they have not replied. I wasn't sure if the meats and cheeses were safe to eat as they were not cold. The order was a loss. I won't be ordering from them again as they cannot be bothered to reply to my emails or answer their phone calls.
Untrustworthy
I used to shop there. expensive stuff but I like to enjoy. So I ordered the stuffed olives with cheese. 8£ each. I received the order and I got olives stuffed with almonds. So I spoke to owner and she promised me to send me the correct items. great.
But she never delivered to her promises. When I called back she was kinda laughing telling me that she will not send me anything.
That was about 4 years ago, but I do not forgetting these sneaky, dirty business practices. Don't buy there as you might be taken on a ride
