My partner and I booked a table and room on Sunday pm.
The room was all the way through the outdoor restaurant and into a second entrance which was very off putting. Also we did not want to eat outside but didn’t have a choice. Had we known this we would have booked a table and a room elsewhere.
We were sat outside which got pretty chilly and we hadn’t brought anything to put around our shoulders as we didn’t expect to have to eat outside, so we’re stuck getting cold.
It seemed that half the menu was unavailable as you had run out, similarly with the wine we had chosen.
The menu was not that interesting with what was left and so I picked the chicken as I didn’t know what else to choose, I was totally uninspired as was my partner. We even talked about going to a different restaurant which we should have done.
The food arrived and my plate was swimming in vegetable water from the vegetables that had not been drained enough. I wish I could have tipped it all off my plate or soaked it up with a napkin but didn’t.
I started eating the chicken and noticed that it was quite pink. With that I stopped eating it and left almost all of it.
Following dinner we went to the room quite frankly to get warm.
There was a huge bang of a door shutting, the front door I assume and this was around midnight. At this stage I had started to feel nauseous. The people that came in through the door were in the room directly above it and soon after they had gone in to their room the headboard started banging. This went on for a considerable amount of time, over an hour.
I had taken some anti sickness because I was feeling very sick early hours of the morning and was trying just to keep still so I didn’t vomit.
Early hours of the morning the recycling truck came around so then we had to listen to glass smashing bin after bin.
We didn’t stay for breakfast, in-fact I just bolted home and ran to the bathroom. It was clear I had food poisoning from the chicken as everything went through me and came up. I couldn’t even keep water down. That was for the whole of Monday and most of Tuesday.
I had been recommended 131 and have to say it was the most incredibly disappointing stay and dinner and in all honesty would not recommend dining or staying to anyone.
Still nothing from this company despite emailing several times!
