Pricing was ok. Viewing of pages were somewhat difficult. Closest store approx. 200 miles, therefore free shipping would cost more than shipping to my address.

We heat our home with firewood

We heat our home with firewood, and my husband’s always doing something regarding firewood, either a procuring it or getting it or stacking it or splitting it and he had a near mishap about a month ago, where he could’ve lost a finger.
He’s definitely stubborn and didn’t think he needed it, but I see him using it all the time now for kindling. I took a picture. I was going to upload it to this, but I don’t see how I could do that.
Thank you!!

Northern shipped the wrong product and won't correct their error!

Unfortunately, I can't rate them at zero! I ordered a welding helmet from Northern as a Christmas present and they sent me a pair of sawhorses! I called to have them correct their error and send the right product and Northern's response was, because we ordered from them through Amazon, they were not obligated to correct any errors made in the order but I had to correct the problem with Amazon. Amazon didn't ship the incorrect product and when I called Amazon, their response was that we had to deal directly with Northern Tool! How is that for a circular blame game? Will never do business with Northern again and, if you are smart, you will stay away as they have no integrity in dealing with wronged customers.

Super solid and rolls great

Super solid and rolls great, even loaded down. The drawer design saves me time on the job and locks in perfectly with my PACKOUT stack. A bit heavy to lift into the truck, but still a great buy overall.

Don't Waste Your Time and Money

I recently purchased a Quincy QT-54 air compressor from Northern Tool’s website. They had the most competitive price at $1899 and the compressor seems to be a quality product, but that is the only positive part of my experience. I should have known I was in for a bumpy ride when I couldn’t get any tracking information on the shipment, it just showed up one day and luckily I was at the shop and available to unload it since it weighs over 300 lbs. Upon delivery, the truck driver for Midwest Motor Express acknowledged that it had some damage to the plastic wrapping, but no visible damage to the machine itself as it was still wrapped in heavy plastic. The packaging was insufficient for a machine of this size and weight. Although the pallet was durable, the upper portion was only cardboard pieces and plastic wrap. Upon unpacking it, it was obvious the light damage to the plastic was caused by something heavy falling on the compressor. The drive belt cage was mangled, the air intake filter was broken off and the cooling tube was crushed. I know that I should have looked closer before accepting the shipment and I should have refused it, but when it just showed up unexpectedly, I was in a hurry to unload it during a break. We were also in dire need of the machine as our other compressor had quit weeks earlier.
First, I reached out to Qunicy and was told that since I accepted the shipment, it was my responsibility to reach out to the shipping company. The customer service rep at Quincy did give me some things to check and told me I would have to order replacement parts from one of their authorized dealers near me. After contacting my authorized dealer, I learned that the replacement parts with shipping would cost me $655! I got a bid for the parts and filed a claim with the shipping company, Midwest Motor Express. They seemed helpful at first so I completed all their forms and submitted pictures of the damage, as well as the quote for the parts. They told me my claim was under review and I thought things were looking up. After two weeks of silence, I reached out to them and they told me it was Quincy’s decision and I needed to reach out to them. So I called Quincy again, explained the whole situation again and was bluntly told that since I bought it from Northern Tool, I needed to contact them. After contacting Northern Tool’s customer service department and explaining my situation to them, they simply said there is nothing they can do. I am very dissatisfied with Northern Tool, Quincy and Midwest Motor Express. The lack of effort to help me from all three companies was like I’ve never seen. I am still stuck with an $1800 compressor that cannot be used, one month after my purchase. After multiple attempts with all three companies, I feel obligated to warn others. I chose to go with Northern Tool when I purchased the machine, yet they were the least helpful of all. I had no say in what terrible shipping company they chose to use, or the poor choice of packaging that Quincy decided was adequate. Do yourself a favor and buy a compressor from anywhere else, be very skeptical of any shipping company and don’t expect much help from Quincy if something happens. The $100 I saved buying it from Northern Tool doesn’t mean much at this point.
