At a time of great sadness in the loss of our beautiful West Highland white, Daisy (Peg) we were blessed in finding Paula from Northumbria Pet Crematorium. The same morning that our beloved baby girl passed, Paula came to collect her and was so understanding, kind and extremely professional. All arrangements were made through email contact, which proved to be extremely efficient. On the day that we went to collect her ashes, Paula welcomed us into a relaxing farewell lounge, where we talked about Daisy and her life. On leaving, we were presented with Daisy’s ashes in a lovely urn within a velvet bag, plus a small container of fur and a heartfelt card, which included the time and date of her cremation. Paula treated Daisy and us with the utmost respect and undoubtedly made this transition much more bearable. We sadly lost our gorgeous 11 year old cocker spaniel Ruby a couple of days ago. She was our absolute life and we wanted to make sure she had the most comfortable and peaceful end to her life as possible. We arranged only one day in advance with Paula for Ruby to go to Northumbria Pet Crematorium following her passing. She was put to sleep at home in her favourite spot and then we took her to the pet crem at Hexham where she received the most beautiful care and compassion from Paula. A traumatic experience made so much more comforting seeing how peaceful Ruby was in the farewell room before we said our final goodbyes. She also took Ruby in her house overnight after her cremation, which was so comforting for us knowing she wasn’t alone. We got Ruby’s ashes back the next day along with a card, her paw print and some of her hair. Paula cared for us just as much as she did Ruby with how sympathetic and understanding she was. Thank you so much Paula, you really made this experience as special as it can be, for us and for Ruby. An absolutely outstanding service which I’d recommend to anybody going through the same experience.

The loss of our cherished Springer, Tilly, was a deeply painful experience for my family and me. However, from our first contact with Northumbria Pet Crematorium to the moment we picked up her ashes, the entire process was made more manageable by their genuine empathy and understanding. Their thoughtful approach eased the stress of these challenging moments.Tilly was respectfully collected from our home, and they took the time to learn more about her, handling everything with great compassion.The place where we retrieved her ashes is breathtaking, offering a small solace knowing it was her final stop.The experience of collecting her was softened by the attentive care we received as a family. It was evident that Tilly was treated with the utmost respect, and their dedication to every family was palpable. The personal touches, like a card with her paw print and a small bottle of her hair, were thoughtful additions that distinguished this from a typical vet service. We were able to bring Tilly home just 24 hours after she was taken.I wholeheartedly recommend entrusting them with your beloved pet. They provide meaningful keepsakes that make a significant difference. Our gratitude goes out to them for their care of Tilly.

Loosing my beautiful Springer Tilly unexpectedly was heartbreaking for me and my family. However, from the moment we contacted Northumbria pet crematorium to the moment we collected her ashes was made easy by the care and compassion shown to myself and my family. Everything has been beautifully thought out and made the most difficult circumstances just that little bit easier.

Collecting her was made a little easier with the care and attention given to us as a family. I really felt Tilly had been truly taken care of and that they really do care about each person who comes through the doors to collect their pets. The little details, from her paw print on a card, her hair in a little bottle to the small nods to Tilly, truly set this apart from taking her to the vet. We collected Tilly 24 hrs after she had been collected from home.

I would highly recommended trusting them to look after your beloved pet and give you the extra keepsakes that made the world of difference. Thank you again for looking after Tilly.

Paula is lovely puts you at ease we had our shiba inu Tazz cremated here it’s a lovely peaceful place. This was our 2nd time as Meana his sister was cremated here also 3 years ago now they are both in the cabinet together ❤️

Paula and David are very caring and sympathetic people, they made the long drive to pick up our boy and brought him back in a lovely casket with his name engraved on it. Knowing he was with them and he would be looked after even though he had passed made it easier for us. He will be with us forever now, thanks to them.

The most serene beautifull setting in Northumberland to say goodbye to your loved furry friend. Paula was genuine and compassionate, who treated us with dignity, and fully explained what she could offer us for our pets final journey. All this individual service was at a very modest cost.I would have no hesitation in recommending Northumbria pet cremation.

The Northumbria Pet Crematorium were professional, caring and sympathetic from our first contact to us bringing our furry loved one home. The setting is beautiful and we really felt Milo was cared for and treated with dignity throughout. The little details of his cremation were perfectly handled. They were really responsive to our needs - we called them first at 7pm on a Friday, they were flexible to meet our needs on a Saturday and bank holiday. The price is very reasonable.
