Called for lunch amd to make purchases.
Thheer were only 2 staff at the dealing with all meal and food requirements, including making drinks helping with menus etc. That was dfor potentially 100 tables (according to the numbers) and around 2/3 of them were occupied. After 10 minutes waiting in a very slow moving queue we laft. The purchases .. well there was a large selection of hundreds of cabbage plants, penty of expensive grafted tomatoed and just a few lettuce etc.
Understaffed restaurant and poor vegetable offering.

Just crazy, overpriced plants. Petunias@ £2.50?

Never going back!

Visited Notcutts Brampton. It gets three stars because the plants are very well laid out, look good & the prices are reasonable. However, customer service rates somewhere between acceptable and very poor. The lady on the till at the tearoom was pleasant & friendly; however, service was very slow. And the lady on the till at the exit needs some customer service training. How difficult is it to make eye contact, smile & say hello?

Not great, chips hard and no flavour to them. Hot dog not great either. Very disappointing

We visited the Maidstone Notcutts on May 6th with a view to buy a new BBQ and a selection of accessories. We were helped by Charlotte who was very knowledgeable on the range and a very nice lady. Can the management please pass on our thanks to her as she helped us on our choice of products. She was up against it as a dog had fouled the carpet nearby.

Attended Notcutts restaurant, Widnes, today (3.5.25) and experienced extremely poor service from one particular member of staff who had an atrocious attitude and if I was in charge of this store I would send her on a Customer Service training course ASAP before she looses you more custom!!! When placing our food order we were asked if we had any food allergies. One member of the party informed she was unable to eat peppers and asked for them to be omitted from her side salad. When her food arrived there were peppers in the salad!! The food was returned to the counter with an explanation re the peppers. The member of staff in question had a poor attitude which clearly expressed she was not happy about being inconvenienced by the food being returned. After waiting a considerable time for the correct meal to reappear I went to the counter to check on the meal, mainly because I realised our table buzzer had been removed when the food originally arrived, so I actually thought I was helping the staff, who may not know which table to meal was for but once again I was met with a very poor attitude from the same member of staff who, as she walked past me, informed me quite strongly that I would just have to wait for the replacement meal, eventhough it was right by her in the service hatch and just need her to pass it to me!!! On checking our receipt we noticed that next to where it was written any allergies the member of staff who served us had actually written "none" eventhough she had been told my Sister-in-law could not eat peppers. When my Sister-in-Law was having a reasonable discussion with this member if staff about the possible dangers of staff putting no allergies on the order when they have been told customer does have allergies along comes the arrogant member of staff who decided she would join in the discussion and stated by saying loudly "what's up with you this time". At this point we asked for her Manager who explained there had been a communication error between staff and agreed on the severity of not recording notified allergies on order. Managers of Notcutt you really do need to address the attitude of some of your staff at the Widnes restaurant before they loose you custom. We will definstely not be returning and I will be informing people to eat elsewhere in future!!!

We had a 5* experience at Notcutts Victoria Featherstone, we sadly lost our family hamster a couple of days ago which left our 7 year old little girl heartbroken. Kenzie was absolutely amazing with Gracie, she was shown empathy, patience, care with such a friendly and pleasant manner. I can’t thank Kenzie enough for making our little girl happy again, Kenzie was so accommodating showing Gracie all the hamsters that were available and discussed a detailed explanation on the furry friends, we learnt things we didn’t know and I can’t be more happy to know additional information about our new pet. Thank you Kenzie, I hope you get the mention you deserve

My experience was over the telephone and emailing both with Nancy from the Woodbridge store in Suffolk and I also dealt with Kelly from the Maidstone store.
These two members of staff are a credit to your company and both went the extra mile in order to help with my enquiry which was trying to find a suitable pergola for our garden.
Unfortunately we were not able to find a suitable size but the way they dealt with my enquiry was so professional and efficient.
They kept me updated by email very promptly and nothing was too much trouble for them.
I have worked in the retail sector for many years and really appreciate the service that was given to me.
I’m just sad that I couldn’t complete the sale with your company but would highly recommend it to others.

DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT A HOT COFFEE!!!

We had breakfast at the Staines branch which was very nice. Although the teacups smelt "doggy"
The cafe itself was very cold (8deg outside) and made you feel uncomfortable causing the food & drink to cool quickly

Just had a meal at the restaurant with my wife and stepdaughter, my wife had the ploughman's and I had sausage n mash ... I thought i was given a child's meal as very small amount the wife was the same just not much of it for the price not worth the money .... very disappointing 😞

We have just been to Victoria garden centre in Pontefract and had the most wonderful experience in their cafe - all allergens were labelled, staff were knowledgeable and asked every customer if they had any allergies. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. Highly recommend for anyone with allergies especially gluten free!

This is a lovely garden centre with a beautiful cafe. I recently asked for help with a charity donation for the PTA and they could not have been more helpful. Thank you!

Absolutely disgraceful behaviour from checkout staff, shouted at me from across the room. I am on crutches after an operation and my sons were helping me carry items to the till, when a checkout person on another till questioned the sale of a box of cherry liquors. She told me all be it from across the room that as my son carried it to the till she could not serve us as he is under 18. Absolutely ridiculous display of stupidity and ignorance delivered in a stupendously rude and obnoxious manner. I explained that being 47 I am fine to make the purchase and thanked her for her concern and she continued to argue with me calling me rude and stupid!! Never in all my life have I been spoken to like this from someone who works in the customer facing industry. I can only assume that the Christmas bonus and staff party have been cancelled this year which would explain her foul mood. This person should be removed from service immediately as she is clearly not up to the job, outrageous disgusting behaviour ruined our shopping experience I shall never shop at this establishment again absolutely appalling.

My friend and I went to Woodford Park garden centre on Saturday, the craft fair was brilliant, loads of lovely and unusual gift ideas and very reasonably priced. The garden centre is my favourite, it's jam packed with gorgeous food, decorations, clothes, shoes, gifts etc and wonderful plants. I bought some Sketchers trainers (so comfy!). We're going again this week, there is so much to see! It's stunningly decorated and the staff are fabulous

We went for breakfast which was great and then went to Xmas craft fair in the car park.It was brilliant the variety of stalls was really good and the prices not over the top.

Amazing store

Sad to be leaving this review as I have been a loyal user of the cafe and garden centre for decades. But enough is enough. Have had my last coffee or meal, put simply the quality of the food has descended to a totally unacceptable level. Today I had a croque minsieur, the first attempt was so overcooked. I needed a hammer and chisel to break through the bread, the second attempt was bread with melted cheese and a slice of ham. They hadn’t even toasted the bread! They simply don’t deserve the custom.

Would NOT recommend going here if you are going to buy a pet. Went today, not to buy a pet (good job really because they had a list of dates on the tanks saying when you couldn’t purchase pets, today included - which was due to the fact those who worked with the fish and were permitted to sell weren’t working) Anyways, we looked at the tanks and how bare, no source of entertainment or colour for the fish, no sign of even a residue of food for the fish. Some tanks were dirty and others had fish in them that looked like they barely had enough room to move. In one tank, 2 fish were left in the tank dead with every other fish in the shop looking like they were on their way out. At least the rodents were being looked after by a member of staff, not those that supposedly care for the fish. I would buy the animals from here but only to save them from neglect, however I wouldn’t hold my breath that they’d last more than 24hrs. The pet area ought to be shut down it’s pure negligence and not fair at all, poor things. On the plus side the cafe is nice and the garden centre is good to have a look around.
