We started with two setbacks but these were sorted quickly. Ricky and Lukas carried out the job in a friendly, efficient and professional manner. They stayed very late to finish the job properly despite dreadful weather. We are happy.

Pushy, intimidating salesman
Salesman came to quote for loft insulation recently. He would have done anything to get our custom. He lied (for example, told us we can't dispose of old fibreglass ourselves at the local tip, that it's illegal, and that we had to pay them to take it away. Having researched this, it's completely legal to take to the tip ourselves), took photos of "dangerous mould spores" in the existing fibreglass which were clearly specks of dirt from the rafters, and told us that mould from our old fibreglass would cause black mould to seep through the ceiling and into the rooms of our house. We saw no evidence to support this. He also tried to manipulate us into the sale by saying he needs his job (and, by implication, our sale) to put his kids through uni, begged us to tell him what he'd done wrong - why weren't we taking the sale? Gave us a sob story about how he had "failed" at his job. He also tried to get us to sign on the grounds that there was a voucher available to save £1900 but it could disappear any second - so no, we couldn't go away to discuss and think, we had to sign then and there. After 2hrs, and great difficulty getting him to leave, he eventually insinuated that we were idiots for not going ahead. He also said workers were available to start work almost immediately, which didn't fill us with confidence! Fortunately we were strong enough to tell him 'no', but it fills me with dread to think of him going to the home of someone older or vulnerable. Had I been there alone with him, being that pushy, I would have found it extremely intimidating. We were utterly appalled. Unless you are 110% certain you need loft insulation, and can afford £5-7k to pay for it, give Nutec a wide berth.

'Space wrap'does not exist. Its a made up name for a very cheap product.
Nutec has now changed their original response to an absolute unhinged one. Every single record of your work and business practices will tell you im telling the truth. I dont need to contact the company to know that.
Even other reviewers have clearly researched the company and found out that space wrap is fake.

What I have said is true, and does not mention names, therefore is perfectly within the rules of this website. (Nutec is attempting to scare me into removing my review by asking for my full name and phone number!)
What Nutec are selling is made up. Space wrap does not exist. Workers are told not to let the customers see the product branding which is basic super quilt sold at £90 per roll.
The company is a scam, they are commiting various acts of fraud.
They prey on the elderly and vulnerable, people who wont question things, and are made to feel scared and are lied to by salesmen to be convinced that their current insulation could be making them ill (this is false). They also convince people to pay more to have fibre glass removed from above ceilings which is bad and will cause issues in future.
The company owner is known for setting up scam companies based on gov grants for home updates... the cost of work to customers never gets covered by these so called grants and oftentimes they do not exist. The way the company is ran is shoddy and unproffessional.

Quick and thorough service.
From the original quote to insulation was 9 days. Aaron was professional and informative. Advised the importance of getting my current stuff out but didnt push me into going ahead with the order.
Knowing there is a reason for me feeling the way I do and knowing there can be health benefits of me changing is what made me go ahead with the instalation. The guys have just finished and already I could feel the difference in temperature in the loft. They cleaned up well, even wiping down the loft hatch and walls. The floor is covered and then sorted after. They arrived just after 9am and were finished by 3pm. Very happy with the service shout out to Carter. Thank you guys.

Work done in our attic on July 2nd 2025
On July 1st we had a visit from one of your staff after "cold calling". I felt pressurised into agreeing to have Spacewrap installed. I asked for time to think about it but Paul told me there was a government grant available and I might loose that if I didn't agree straight away. My husband was ill and \i'm nervous about damp so I agreed. After the insulation was installed in 2 hours on the next day, July 2nd, I asked my son to go up the ladder to see what the job looked like. He told me that the light switch was covered up and he couldn't see where the inverter for our solar panels was. An engineer came later and had to feel for the inverter. he thought the metal foil wrapped around was acting like a Faraday cage and stopping electric signals passing to my computer. We had the monitoring system installed for our solar panels many years ago and want to be able to use it. It stopped working on the day the Spacewrap was installed. I emailed Nutec on August 22nd then on September 6th with "Complaint" in the subject header but have had no reply. I want them to remove the Spacewrap and give me my money back. The receipt I have has no mention of the Government grant and I paid £4,570 in total for 2 men to work 2 hours in my property.

This company ring me daily on different numbers, I keep blocking them and telling them to remove my details from their system which they fail to do, a company that does not comply with GDPR rules cannot be trusted to do a job and hold my data, one more call and I’ll report them. Reputable companies do not need to constantly harass people to get a surveyor round.
