Don’t use international courier service
We used NZPost international courier service for an urgent delivery, based on the advertised timeframe of 2-6 working days. Completely useless. Tracking update wasn’t updated for 2 weeks, customer service who had no clue where the package was. And refusal to reimburse the cost while service wasn’t delivered. Never again.

Items have gone from arriving in 1-2 days to 5-7 days, items are more often going missing or re-directed, customer service is terrible & unhelpful, I rate NZPost on a Par with Aramex, avoid if possible.

We should add FLIWAY complaints to this site (as owned by NZ Post ) i am waiting for a delivery by them , that was picked up in Auckland at TRADE TESTED on 25th Jan and now receive email from FLIWAY that it will be delivered to me here in the Waikato on 13TH feb ..Could have bought it my self in China AND GOT TO ME QUICKER

I don't think the drivers read any delivery instructions. What are they there for if they don't intend reading them!! I clearly leave instructions every time and my parcels are always left at my neighbours!
Sent some important documents to the UK…
Sent some important documents to the UK by NZ "Express" Courier from Wellington. Cost $122. It took SIX days for the package to finally leave Auckland. Once clear of of our shores it took TWO days to reach the UK. Draw your own conclusions about the competence and efficiency of NZ Post.

Recieved an email that my package is delayed and wont recieve on-time. the website ive purchased item from says 1 to 2 days delivery which is why I bought item but it'll be 5 days delivery. Annoyed because this company hasnt scanned the item and I wont need it by the time I recieve and will have to pay for item to be returned. Ps; you make the company look like liars and I will be leaving feedback on their website too
I'd give 0 if I could

Literally the worst experience with a…
Literally the worst experience with a courier company and if I ever have the option to choose between NZ POST and other, I always do choose the other. Do NOT recommend at all - poor service, lost/damaged items, stressful experience and the most unhelpful support from their staff.
Customer service is answer the phone…
Customer service is answer the phone and talking within them, overhearing their conversation. or an error in their system.
No stars!!
No stars!!! The "service" of this organisation is beyond a joke. Paying for an overnight courier? What a waste of money. It never gets any better. They obviously just chuck complaints in the bin with a laugh. Get your act together NZ Post. Have you no pride in what you do?
9 days to get a simple birthday card…
9 days to get a simple birthday card from New Plymouth to Palmerston North, arrived 5 days after my birthday, pathetic service, no wonder everybody sends via courier
Good customer service, bad tracking
Very nice customer service, but the delivery itself is very poor and they do not update your tracking past auckland if international.
Bag had hole in it which let water and dirt seep in and ruin everything

Its got to the point I stipulate "No NZPost" for deliveries, Would be ok if its a once-off but every time NZPost is used there are problems. "Overnight delivery" is a minimum of a week late. Truly the worst service in NZ!

so bad in every way i'm surprised they still operate
How hard is it to get someone to drive 5 mins up the road and pick up a missed item?
Day 1 - Item not picked up.
Day 2 - Called 8:20am. Assured it would be picked up. Called at 4:30pm. Assured it would be picked up on Day 3 at arranged time (after 2:00pm).
Day 3 - Called 4:33pm. Informed I needed to take item to NZ Post. Additionally, organize with them to print delivery label. Complete waste of time. Could've walked the item to Cambridge and back in that time. I guess that's what you get for an $8.46 delivery charge.
NZ Post Tracking - it is NOT.
NZ Post Tracking: Why bother? Tracking "updates" just are not.
PAID $71.10 to have a Parcel sent on the 18/1/2026 from Napier to Nelson, then on to "Collected from sender" a whole DAY later at 15:34 on the 19/01/2026. Stayed like that for 3 days, then immediately jumped to "Processed at Depot" in ChristChurch on the 21/01/2026. Still the same 2 days later.
Yet I have regular updates from TEMU for parcels travelling internationally, ordered the same day as I sent my parcel domestically. Delivered already. With FREE Delivery. SMH.
Where is the -1 star button?
It was slow
First, I want to appreciate that my package didn’t come damaged, because I was expecting it to be broken as it was coming for soooo loong. Speed needs to be better, please make actions.
Impounded parcel- then refuse to engage with me to resolve the non-existent problem
They impounded a parcel saying it contained dangerous goods (which it did not) and could/would not tell me what they believed these dangerous goods to be, assigned a case number to sort the issue out and promised to contact me within 2/3 days. 7 days later I complained direct to the CEO - David Walsh and their executive complaints email address. Surprise surprise once more no contact, no acknowledgement. I should add the parcel contains items form my mothers estate and while are irreplaceable from a sentimental value, have little to no commercial value...If it were possible to give NZ Post a zero rating I would do.
My delivery girl is amazing.
My delivery girl is amazing.
She goes out of her way every time to ensure my parcel is secure and dry even if it means she will get drenched. She is a ♦️

I have had troubles with DHL locating my parcel for the past week as I was picking it up from your post office pick up depot in Tauranga (399 Cameron Road) and had an amazing experience with Serena Sowry. She was amazing and went above and beyond to get my package to me and even personally reached out and called me when it arrived! Amazing staff, thank you Serena!
