Open rent is just brilliant
Open rent is just brilliant. So easy to use and reasonably priced. Makes renting a property super easy
A Much Better Alternative to Traditional Letting Agents
I’ve had one rental property for six years, using a traditional letting agent and paying around £1,500 a year for little more than collecting the rent and transferring it to my account.
After using OpenRent for my second buy-to-let, I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough.
Everything is in one place, from advertising the property and finding tenants to referencing and Rent Guarantee Insurance. The whole process has been straightforward and easy to manage.
I’ll definitely be using OpenRent again for my third property.
I’d highly recommend it to both new landlords and experienced landlords who are happy to manage their tenants directly.
Brilliant in every way
excellant service
User friendly and easy to use website
User friendly and easy to use website. You get to talk to the property owner.
They helped me when I needed them.
Open Rent is a good service but difficult to use
The Good - You find tenants, you keep up with legislation, your personal support service is excellent, you cover all the bases.
The Bad - The website is not easy to follow, the search engine is unhelpful it should take us to the information not the community, The MyDeposits Deposit claim system is very poor and we will be moving all our deposits to the DPS despite this being a tortuous process

The platform works well and is easy to follow. Setting up a new agreement was very easy, as well as the digital signing process. New tenants seem to trust/find easy the Rent Now process. I like the fact first rent and deposit can be collected on the platform (providing tenants with confidence they are in a safe process), and then can move to direct payment to landlord, so I can manage to continuation of the tenancy myself.
Inventory Service is terrible
Inventory Service is terrible - inventory clerk did not arrive at booked/time, despite that I confirmed their attendance the day prior to the appointment. Customer care said nothing they can do and that I must wait for 24 hours for an email to get an update about where the inventory clerk is? Explained that I travelled a long way to the property , leaving children behind, to open for the clerk, who has not arrived?
Customer care could not do anything and said that sadly they had to end the call.
Open Rent requested additional information on this review, but only gave 3 days for the information to be provided, which is not reasonable.

I find the platform pretty easy to use which is a great thing as I am older generation (60+) and moderate at using tec.
Speaking as a lawyer, who has historically drafted own tenancy agreements, I give your draft a strong 8/10.
