Do not use OpenTable! Book with the restaurant direct. OpenTable charge £20 per person, if you give less than 48 hours notice of a cancellation!

A soul in another country used my email
In 2023 someone in another country used my email address to set-up an account. I cannot log in to take over the account and Open Table have no procedures and no competent help desk to sort this out.
Every few months I try to get them to fix it but I am met with incomprehension and inaction.
New Years Eve Ruined
Booked a table for 4pm, the last slot available on New Years Eve at my local bistro using the OT app. We turned up to find out they no longer use OpenTable and therefore there was no reservation. Thanks OT and a Happy New Year.
Non Booking through Open Table Beware!!
Made a booking for Sunday through this website I called the restaurant to confirm booking there was no booking?
There was a private party for the same date so our non booking has now been cancelled leaving us with no where to eat.
Will not use this website again!
Do not send your actual email address

OPEN TABLE is absolute sham
OPEN TABLE is absolute sham. I gave a restaurant 2 and 3 star reviews but OPEN TABLE turned it to 4 stars! Not to be trusted.
The worst platform due to its monopoly…
The worst platform due to its monopoly they are going to squeeze you tie up in contract and very poor customer support
Going on restaurant website takes you…
Going on restaurant website takes you to Open table. When you book this way cannot add booking to your account. Should pick up automatically.
Opentable used to be so good
Opentable used to be so good. However now it is difficult to sign in. I do not clear cookies but every time I have to jump through several hoops just to sign in! They ask for reviews once I have been to the restaurant, but again make me go through several stages just to log in so I don't bother. What happened to the Open Table of old!
Disappointing
Service was inattentive. No dessert or coffee offered. Minestrone soup was pretty tasteless. Pizza was good. Seafood with linguine was chewy. Music was loud and from a radio with talking…asked if they could turn it down. And it was turned up…second visit here and I am afraid definitely the last
Not to be trusted
They took booking online and within an hour cancelled it offering a replacement. They took the booking fee for the first booking ,then charged for the second with a note that the first booking fee ( the booking they had cancelled)
Terrible
Terrible. Do not send your actual email address, as they keep sending unsolicited emails. Avoid
No help or support
Once they get a contract with yourself as a business, there's no help or support. there is no account manager or anyone assist you.
Points removed, so my bookings have been too.
Utterly useless. Cleared my points despite this being my go-to app for reservations. I've booked thousands of pounds worth of meals through this app which they undoubtedly recieve a commission for, only for their sole incentive to be removed. Never again will I use these clowns, and looking at the recent reviews it's pretty clear that this app is dead. Avoid like the plague.
Shocking
I can’t believe restaurants use this website/ app whatever it is. Terrible!! Unfortunately it reflects poorly on the restaurant.
I feel one star on too much
I feel one star on too much, I am restaurant owner I have signed with them I end up with £3000 bill with them please be careful!!!!!!!!!!
Insecure app and can’t get through to a human for help
Someone accessed my account that was not me. I was emailed a password reset link that opened the app but did not take me to anywhere I could reset my password. I attempted to get a password reset link but one never arrived. I tried to contact the company for some help in resetting my password but getting past the chat bot to speak to a human was impossible. In the end I gave up and deleted my account. Terrible app. There’s no two factor authentication and no easy way to change your password, therefore they’re also insecure. Won’t set up a new account or use again until their practices improve.
Don't trust the open table booking system - check the retaurant
I booked the goldcroft restaurant in Caerleon on 29 june and received an email confirmation from open table the same day for the restaurant booking (actual table booked for date13th july). The goldcroft contacted me on 9 july to say that open table should have not let me book as the restaurant was fully booked for that day. The goldcroft blamed open table. I contacted open table and they couldn't be less bothered about it. Caerleon holds a festival once a year and I had invited family to stay. Now I cannot get a decent restaurant because they are all booked.
Credit Card got scammed - AVOID!
I'm based in the UK and booked a table at a restaurant in London. I needed to give my credit card details through Opentable to confirm the booking. Since then there has been multiple attempts to fraudently scam my card. These have included attempts originating in the USA to charge my card for various online purchases. My bank put a stop on the card and have now needed to cancel my CC and issue me a new one. Either OpenTable are selling on my credit card details or else a 3rd party that works with OpenTable is. AVOID using OpenTable - they will scam your Credit Card! Just contact the restaurant directly and book through the restaurant itself. Avoid OpenTable - your card details are not kept safe and you can get scammed!!
Bad company
Scammers company i have been charged for £177 per month but i never get any booking from this company and not able to cancelled because it said subscription. In fact if there is working through this website i willing to pay it. But i got none of it and if I want to cancelled i have to pay the rest of contract. It been 5 months but not even 1 booking If not work they should allow to cancelled without pay.
Horrible app
Horrible app. Was trying to log in , got verification never worked. Tried phone and email nothing at all. Deleting my account as customer service was useless. Too bad coz I won’t be able to book few of the restaurants I like. London restaurant owners use sevenrooms. You don’t need an app or stupid verifications. Easy and simple
