Bait and switch - Optery sells you a low-priced plan with a long list of major data brokers. But, shortly after you start using Optery, Optery moves some of the largest and most problematic broker sites to higher priced plans. You're forced to move to a more expensive plan, as much as 250% more expensive - to get the same coverage you had when you first signed up.

While Optery's three lowest-priced plans used to offer pretty good coverage, they're now padded with garbage sites like "Kentucky Arrests" while big data brokers like Intelius, Checkmate and FastPeopleSearch are now only in their most expensive plan.

Don't hope for customer service either. The chat function has a worthless AI and if it doesn't have the answer, it says you'll wait at least a day for a response.

I'd give Optery a hard pass.

I am very satisfied with Optery. Even the most basic of plans start working immediately and I already feel more secure - noticed a difference. I am so glad this company exists because having personal information online is a highly unregulated process and this helps to combat that in an easy way.

So far I am finding this service very helpful. I never knew there was so much information out there about me and it was concerning initially when I saw how exposed I was. Now I can see they are working to clean that up, albeit slowly in some areas, but I have been assured that is normal. I also find it very useful to actually see the sites that they have removed information from.... soooooo many data search sites.
It has definitely given me some peace of mind, and I would definitely recommend to others!

Does exactly what it is supposed to. The free plan is good to see what needs to happen, but I needed the Extended Plan to get my data scrubbed. Yay!

They have done a great job removing my data from the internet. Took about 4 months to remove most of it.
I would recommend most people use this service occasionally.

I've been using Optery since August 2024 and have been VERY pleased with the results. Currently my open / exposed profiles are 7, which is a huge drop from when I had first started. So in about 4 months Optery was able to get me removed from just about everywhere! Not to mention that there were a handful of data brokers that reposted my information, within weeks after the initial removal, but Optery quickly caught on and restarted the removal process.

I'm especially pleased with Optery's Custom Removal process, which was able to remove me from a web listing that was impossible for me to do myself previously. That's because this particular website's "opt out tool" didn't work. There was also no contact information available nor was there a 'contact us' web form to submit questions or feedback. I even used the Google webmaster message tool twice to send an E-Mail plea to the owner, but of course I never received a response.

My data removal and privacy journey started back in 2015 when I was learning how much of my information was leaked on the web. I spent a few years manually removing myself from dozens of websites, which was tiring. In 2023 I used a data removal service for the first time and wasn't really happy with the results (after about 9 months). Thankfully I gave it another try and instead decided to use Optery this time around (after researching other companies).

When I first used their service, I was shocked to discover over 150 data broker listings containing my sensitive information - including details I never expected to be public, such as my car's VIN number. Within months, they successfully reduced these listings from 150 to just 23.

So much better than Incogni and other competitors! The quarterly PDF "removal progress report" provides AMAZING visibility into what exactly they're actually doing, and even showed me that my personal info was being listed on many lookup-sites that I didn't even know existed! The Optery system uses screenshots in their reports to really show you first hand what information about you is out there, and then after their removal, demonstrates that it no longer shows up. Now that's a great service!

I am once again amazed, and have the deepest Admiration as far as your efficiency, and results.
It was a bit of a challenge with only one coffee.
Since Optery has begun their cleansing for me, I'm finally wearing my;"I've got the world by the tail.
The air has been fresher and my smile larger, because of Optery.

I have been using OPtery for several months and am pleased with the results.
I tried another removal service, which was less effective than Optery.
I highly recommend the service.
