Aggressively lousy customer service

Yuk. OpticsFast is the absolute WORST online company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. No. Wait! They are simply the worst company I have ever dealt with. They make Comcast and ATT seem like model customer support organizations. Thank goodness I never sent them my glasses for repair (thank you to The Frame Mender for the 1 week turnaround and excellent quality repair).

My entire lousy experience with OpticsFast has been limited to their constant badgering messages to send in my glasses. It doesn't matter that I patiently informed them I won't be sending them my glasses. "Why not" was their response. Because, I replied, online reviews for OpticsFast on Yelp and the BBB are dismal (plus they don't quote repairs until they've received the glasses unlike, say, The Frame Mender. With bad reviews and a pig-in-a-poke approach to the quote process, there was no way I was sending them my glasses to hold hostage). "Becky" replied that I was making a huuugh mistake, that they have great reviews with only a few hundred negative reviews because of some overly sensitive customers who complain at the littlest provocation. Not a good sign, I thought. Now, 2 weeks on, I get 1 or 2 daily messages to send in my already-repaired-by-someone-else glasses. Numerous requests to stop sending those messages have gone ignored.

So I gave them fair warning: if they sent me another message, I'd share my miserable experience on every social website I could find. In less than an hour, they replied that they'd already prepaid postage for my glasses and, therefore, I "must pay" them $5.49 to not send them in. I guess they figure their customers don't know or can't find out that Click-n-Ship postage is fully refundable within 30 days of purchase. These guys apparently know and will try every trick in the book to squeeze a few dollars from their customers. I shudder to think what tricks they would have tried if they'd gotten their mitts on my glasses. So here I am posting my experience everywhere I can find.

FWIW, in response to my warning of posting this review, their response was "the more [bad reviews] the merrier". Now that I'm actually posting as I warned them I would, the boneheads are calling my cell phone and threatening to IM and email bomb me. Poor sods apparently haven't heard of email blacklists and IM blocking.

Great Experience

Becky, the sales person for OpticsFast who helped me, was top notch. She was available at all times to answer questions, solve problems and, generally, make the process extremely easy! The glasses I received exceeded my expectations. I love them!

The customer service and quality of product I received are far and away the best online or even offline purchasing experience I've ever had. And I'm very hard to please...just ask my wife.

DO NOT SEND YOUR GLASSES OR MONEY TO THESE RUDE, INEPT PEOPLE

It started out with them telling me they would "solder" the broken arm on my Ray-Bans instead of replacing it.
This didn't sound too great for me, so I thought it over for 5 days.
Then I get an email from the rudest person I have ever come across in the world of sales - BECKY, asking me if I wanted them fixed or she was going to throw them away.
$90 and 3 weeks later, I receive them and the right lens is now scratched beyond use. (I would have never spent the $90 to have them soldered if the lens was scratched) - It looked like they had been dropped on a concrete floor.
I chalked this up to my stupidity for not seeing all of the horrible reviews that they have earned.
On top of all of the rudeness and destroying my $250 sunglasses (now worth $340) - I get an email from BECKY asking for a $10 tip for "great service".
DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER SENDING YOUR GLASSES OR MONEY TO THIS COMPANY if you value either.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

This company will respond well within the time frame they have posted to get back with you. They offer very informative information either over the phone or through email contact. To me they seem concerned about their business just by the way they handle your needs. Thank you!

DONT BUY FROM THEM! SCAM!

Can I give no stars?

Horrible customer service! Sold me fake designer glasses.
False advertising as well. Promised me "100% brand new and Authentic and come to us direct from the manufacturer. Each item is packaged with a certificate of authenticity, protective case and dust cloth". All i got was the frames, and a generic case. Spoke with customer service and they said "There is no such thing as certificate of authenticity or dust cloths for Burberry glasses." Wow really? they have no professionalism when speaking with you. Ghetto store, don't use them. I am in the process of reporting them to the FBI for selling fake designer products.

Worst Eyeglass seller on the web

This was the worst experience I've had buying glasses online. They were slow, rude, and high priced. Somehow, I could actually see out of the glasses, but it was tough getting there.

My order first arrived after a few weeks with demo lens instead of prescription lens. I sent them back at their expense (had to ask for a shipping label). Took several more weeks for the final pair to arrive. Customer service has Brooklyn charm : ( and was some of the rudest I've ever come across. I tried to cancel the order after a month without glasses & was told since it was a special order I couldn't. I didn't have glasses because of their screw-up. Their prices were not cheap. I was looking for a specific frame to replace a lost pair.

If you need glasses use Zenni or OtticaNet. Both are much cheaper & Ottica turns around glasses in days instead of weeks.

Dodged that bullet! :)

I'm pleased to say that due to my bank being concerned with my shopping pattern (3 am sunglasses splurge) they declined my order with OpticsFast aka Optics'fart', since then I've received rude emails from them(sometimes twice a day), fortunately I only use that email to shop but it speaks volumes about company. Avoid! Avoid!! Avoid!!!
Here's some advice: (this is gold people)
If your buying designer sunglasses stick with ebay/amazon if buying else where make sure the seller is with paypal. Your welcome! :)

Glasses

I will recommend this website because customer service will do everything to have the customers to meet their needs. I got the frame and I'm very happy with it. They are very respectful and timely.

they didn't even use a condom when they screwed me

Never EVER use this company

"I sent my authentic John Lennon licensed glasses to them to have an arm repaired, and they sent my glasses back with a pair of arms a full 3/4" too short so that they no longer fit on my head. I called and they said it was MY FAULT because I did not specify that I wanted the arms the same length as the original arms. The glasses were returned to me filthy and fingerprints all over the lenses. They charged me an additional $39.96 for "ultrasonic cleaning". They didn't even wipe them with a cloth. I have been taken for a fool. I hope that my positing this review will prevent this from happening to you. Do not buy anything from, or send ANYTHING to Opticsfast."

How is this place still in business?

Worst internet transaction I have ever had in my life.

(Also goes by the name of Eyeglasses Depot.)

I placed an order on a Sunday night, paying $30 for overnight shipping. Long story short, they arrived 10 days later and only refunded me $5 of the overnight shipping. Along the way, a request for a "tip" and many unpleasant exchanges with "Becky S.", copied in their entirety below for your amusement. Avoid this company at all costs.

(Replying to my email asking if she was serious about asking for a tip when i had not yet received my order:)

Trustworthy

Becky at OpticsFast was the best!! They did not have the product that we ordered, but Becky emailed us and made contact with us until our order was a success. She even helped us out when it was the weekend. She responded within minutes and was most helpful!! Thank you!! I would recommend them to anyone!!

Awesome company!!!

Optics Fast is so easy to order your eyeglasses from! Whether you order a prescription or just want the glasses themselves. They are wonderful. Their customer service is fantastic. When I asked about the status of my order they got back to me within minutes with an email stating the status. I emailed them right back and I let them know that was fantastic customer service! They have a great selection and wonderful prices. Especially if you want the best in lenses as far as progressives are concerned. They have the thinnest lenses you can buy. Absolutely wonderful! I have already made another purchase on another pair I found on their site that I love. Thank you again OpticsFast Now!!!!

Insulted as new customer

This is my first time ordering from this site. I asked some questions and was told by Dino that my questions were "standard human knowledge" and to "refrain from ever emailing again", his exact words, not including the complete lack of punctuation in a paragraph response and incorrect spelling of words. A manager provided me her contact info but that caused me extra work to contact someone and nothing else was done. Disappointed and now just hoping I get my glasses and can be done with this.
