Our time under contract with Opus Energy was truly horrible. We constantly faced harassment and threats, and payments were deliberately not updated. We were consistently overcharged, and the overall service was abysmal. In all our years of business, dealing with various suppliers, we've never encountered such a poor level of service. Trusting the agent who sold us on Opus Energy was a mistake, but thankfully, we are finally free as we transition our account to another supplier.

Bad Experience

Bad Experience! A Nightmare begun since we left Opus last Year June. After submitting Gas/Elect Meter Readings to them, we requested both final Bills, unfortunately, Opus Energy didn’t closed our account immediately and issues a final bills to us, they issued us July, August Bills to us to pay for, We believe that we shouldn’t be paid for. meanwhile they put us into Debt situation and two Debt collection companies has been involved during this three months period, Then we made a complaints against them on Trustpilot, which they issued us with both final bills and apologies. We then made payment immediately, we thought that was OVER but it ISN’T . We continuously received unrelated emails, which was unable to be downloaded. We received a Debt collection company Phone call in this morning, asking us to pay £ 24.84 and £ £295.53. It was so Annoying and such Harassment. Do not get involved with them, BE AWARE!!!

Helpful and straightforward service…

Helpful and straightforward service from the call centre today. Got through quickly and although the nature of the queries on two accounts meant I was placed on hold a couple of times, Russel was very helpful & got everything resolved during the call.

Terrible service

Very poor.

No working customer portal for months.

Unable to simply allocate a payment when given the required information. Instead sending me emails thanking me for requesting statements etc.

Perhaps this is why EDF are taking over and perhaps they will be more efficient at handling the most basic of customers requests.

If I could give less than one star I…

If I could give less than one star I would. I have never officially been a customer. I took on a tenancy for a property in Jan 2023. I promptly moved to British Gas Lite. They have tried to bill me over £300 for 23 days of electric to a shop that wasn't even trading yet. However it isn't that example of extortion I'm mad at. The property has no gas supply. Still I paid over £200 for gas because they 'supply it to the property'. I'm no longer at the property and they send me ANOTHER gas bill. I query it by sending 2 emails WITH NO RESPONSE telling them I had already paid a gas bill. Rather than replying to ANY of my emails - they refer it to a debt collectors! Absolute shambles of a company.
