Pretty poor experience. Bought 2 and was so unimpressed with the poor quality and heavy weight of the first one that seems to like living inside out, that I returned the second one unopened still in its packaging. Customer service didn't care about issues with quality and I even had to chase my refund as they forgot. They charged me £7.99 to return as well. Oh and the free bag that came with it ripped on the handles after a handful of uses (the handles are also oddly designed and not comfortable to hold). Not a great experience and I wouldn't recommend as the quality does not match the high price.

Very prompt overseas delivery and a beautiful umbrella. We are delighted.

I ordered umbrellas for my grandchildren and inadvertently had them shipped to me. 😩. I emailed the customer service department, expecting that nothing could be done, and received an email saying they changed the address. Now my grandchildren will have them for Christmas. This excellent customer service is rare these days!

I had an issue with my umbrella and reached out to customer service for help. Even though the damage wasn’t covered under the standard warranty, Anna was incredibly understanding and went out of her way to offer a replacement code as a one-time exception. The communication was clear, kind, and prompt. I really appreciate the support and the willingness to help beyond the usual policy. Excellent customer service!

Lovely bright and fun umbrella, I’ve wanted to have one of these since I was young, solid, well made and striking. Arrived quickly and their customer services team were very quick and helpful. I’m a fan. And they’re ethical too.

Amazing costumer service!

I recently bought an umbrella after wanting it for ages and it arrived the a chip on the beak of the duck. I got in contact with costumer service and they replied straightaway and they will be sending a replacement. I am very happy and grateful.

I have been really astonished by the phenomenal customer service I received from Original Duck Head! I hadn’t received my package, and when I tracked it, it showed that there was some kind of damage at the UPS storage. UPS tracking said “we have contacted the sender.” I went to my email, found my shipping confirmation from ODH and saw that it said “you can contact us on the website, or just reply to this email.” THANK YOU for making that so easy! I sent my email off that evening. By 9am central time the following morning, I had an email detailing the plan to address the issue, and another email detailing how they were fixing the issue! Easy, fast, direct— I could not be happier. What a great company.

Original Duckhead is the only umbrella brand I buy—full stop. I’ve always loved their story, their commitment to ethical production, and their designs that balance classic style with a little joy. Late last year, I purchased a new Duckhead umbrella from a retailer that carries the brand, replacing the one I’d had (and adored) for almost ten years. A few months later, during a truly wild downpour, the wind snapped it and broke my heart a little too.

After searching everywhere for repair options, I reached out to Original Duckhead directly to ask if they happened to offer fixes. I explained what happened and shared photos. Anna got back to me quickly and kindly, letting me know they normally only cover damages under their 2-year warranty for umbrellas purchased on their site… but they made an exception and offered to replace mine anyway.

That thoughtful gesture absolutely made my day. Their customer service is truly exceptional, and it reaffirmed why I adore this brand so much. I mean it when I say I will only buy Original Duckhead umbrellas. Love ODH forever. 💛

A genuinely gorgeous umbrella that is backed up by excellent customer service.
Everything about the design and packaging is high quality and it has a very good heft to it.
I needed to get in touch over something something small and dealt with a real person in a very quick turn around. The resolution was above and beyond.

Poor quality umbrella - feeble customer service.
These umbrellas are regularly recommended in gift guide lists, but while the design is fantastic, they are flimsy and badly made. I bought one for my mum as a Christmas present, and the eye shattered the very first time she took it out. I wrote to the company to ask if they could replace the eye (or even sell a replacement eye), and they told me that they don't make them in house and they receive them fully assembled. No offer to remedy the problem in any way - just a shrug and a brush-off. So a flimsy umbrella that no longer even looks good!

The duckhead team is incredibly helpful. They responded to my email very quickly, and were eager to help out. My issue was resolved so quick, they’ve earned a lifelong customer from me! Everyone is getting a Duckhead for their birthday if I have anything to say about it!

I bought an ODH from James Smith in London December 2024 and didn’t keep the receipt. I didn’t use the umbrella much but in July 2025 tried to put it down when it was windy and one of the spokes snapped. It was hardly used so I thought worth seeing if it could be repaired. ODH replaced it for free! I thought this was so helpful considering I didn’t buy it direct and had no proof of purchase. I will be careful in the wind next time! Thanks

love the design and really wanted to love it overall but the quality is so flimsy, feels pretty cheap. only really useable in light drizzle. sadly too overpriced for what it is.

This umbrella is pure joy! The duckhead handle is beyond adorable. It makes me smile every time I pick it up. It’s sturdy, easy to carry, and perfect for gloomy days. People actually stop me to compliment it!
