Got it 3 years ago for my 8 year old and finally gave up on it after 3 years as my son used it only once in 3 years! It was actually hard to get the money back off the card - had to withdraw from a cashpoint but the remainder was lost.

My son is an avid saver and spends nothing! So just used once as an emergency. If your kid is into buying toys or sweets then this would make sense.

His bank account gives him a free card now he is 11 anyway.

Really poor experience with Osper just now. Pin on card not working, and then parental access to the account disabled. The ap gives an Osper contact number - but when you call it, the operative is only there to take details of lost cards. She talked over me every time I asked fro help - and said I had to submit my problem via email. Will now look for a different provider - perhaps giving Go Henry a try.

We've had Osper for our two sons for a couple of years now. It's a really great idea and works very well indeed. My oldest son has just turned 18 and opened a standard cheque account with Lloyds (very boring) but he's happy with that. However, he does not want to give up his Osper card, perhaps because it is so easy for parents to top up with emergency cash!!

While Osper is great, it is not infallible and I get more messages than I would like saying the system is down (always rapidly restored) and Osper cards don't work everywhere other chip and pin cards do e.g. the M6 toll road! (but they DO work mostly places teenagers want to use them). I'd highly recommend Osper if you have teenagers.

After enjoying using the app for my two boys the minute something went wrong their glossy facade fell.
They took money from my sons account and alledgedy refunded it to me. Were unable to send me a simple statement of my accounts despite several requests. Ignored my first plea for help so I ended up having to make in excess of 8 phone calls to them - so decided to close the accounts and to this date my children's money is still not in my bank account. It's disappeared and have no idea if I will ever get it back.
Great idea but they don't have mature processes to deal with customer issues which is not acceptable given that they deal with children's money.

Me and my children absolutely love osper. Gives them the freedom to spend and not have to worry about losing money. Any issues have always been sorted by their excellent customer service. Definitely recommend

My two love their osper cards . They feel grown up .

My daughter loves pulling her card out and I can monitor what she's spending and talk to her if I think she's spending too much on snacks! The pocket money feature is a fantastic way or preparing children for adulthood by understanding how to make there money last! Great customer service too! Any queries are answered immediately with a friendly tone!

This is a amazing card and services by Osper I live in England my daughter live in India with her mother it's so easy and convenient me to send her school fee and pocket money etc my daughter love to use this card as well !!

I only see my son every other Sunday, so Osper is a great way to give him money and monitor what he is spending it on.

Easy to use app and great for if you haven't got any spare change just upload the funds.

My 11 year old daughter loves her Osper card, she feels all grown up!! I like it because she doesn't need to carry so much cash (just in case!), she is learning how to pay by card in shops etc. and be responsible for her own money. A great idea and very easy to load and use the card, very happy we got one.

My daughter loves being able to spend and save up for things with her Osper card. Family & friends add money to it as gifts.

A fantastic app.....can't praise Osper enough for their brilliant customer service,friendly and informative service and ease of use.My 10 year old and 14 year old twin boys love using their Osper cards when we are out and about and having financial independence.They are learning how to save money and love watching their pennies grow each month.Also great for family and friends being able to load money into their accounts.Well done Osper,can't recommend highly enough!

So easy to use, set upand manage - my son loves it, it's not uncool, he can use it online on his ps4, or in the supermarket, on the high street, as and when needed and I can top up remotely if he forgets bus fare, runs out of cash if home alone etc, saves me physically running about after him!

This a great card for children to learn how to manage finances It is a very easy process and easy to manage. Love the saving feature.

Adding your child as an additional card holder on your credit or debit card can be risky. The Osper is a safe way to make sure the kids have funds incase of emergency or for daily expenditures, without them going overboard or posing a risk.

This card is fabulous - my three children have it and feel so independent even at the age of 8!
Would thoroughly recommend this card

It's great that my children are understanding more about how to budget and they can only spend what they have on their card. My youngest who are 9 years old add the cost of items they are buying before they go to checkout to make sure they don't go over what they have to spend. ☺😊

Osper gives you the peace of mind your children can have money loaded to their Osper card instantly anytime anywhere in the event of an emergency.

My daughter can have the independence to spend but is now considering a budget rather than believing I have a magic money tree in the garden!!! The fact I can monitor her spending is also reassuring for me as a parent.
