They stole our money. Even though we were never stayed there. The hotel never had the money. Some one from otel.com cancelled our booking with out our concent
I will never use them again. I am furious.

I booked a hotel for a trip to Las Vegas in March 2020, but due to COVID, Las Vegas was closed and I couldn't travel. After multiple attempts to get a refund, OTEL.com decided that I was not getting a refund, only a credit voucher that I have to use within a year, which is NOT what I wanted since I can't travel due to health reasons. Worst customer service. I will never ever use them again.

If you wish to book a hotel please don’t use trivago or Otel.com
They scam you
Booked a hotel with a full refundable payment
Due to Coronavirus we had to cancel
Offered a voucher
Which was if you didn’t book within a year lost money
If you booked and didn’t use full money balance lost
Contacted credit card company
Takes a while but got refunded
Hope these sharks cease trading soon
Won’t be using either company
Especially as trivago take no responsibility
Even though they Otel is on there web site
And fully vetted
Well trivago vetting must be terrible
Trivago only interested in there cut

Just to add yet another warning/tale of woe about this bunch of crooks calling themselves otel.com.
At the end of 2019 my wife booked us a night in a Scottish hotel for May 2020. It was the first time we'd used Trivago and it was only when we received the booking confirmation we realised the booking was actually with Otel.com. We had to cancel the booking in March due to the national lockdown and Otel.com then offered us a voucher in lieu of a refund. The offered voucher would be unrefundable for ANY reason if we made a booking that we then had to cancel (even if it was because of another lockdown, etc), so we refused the voucher and asked for a refund and reminded Otel.com that we had paid extra for the booking to secure a "Free Cancellation" rate. They responded saying the refund may take longer to process due to the amount of cancellations due to Covid 19 that they were having to deal with and it could take 60 days. After 60 days we asked on the status of our refund and Otel.com responded with another offer of a (slightly increased) voucher instead of a refund but, again, we declined and asked for our refund. Otel.com responded that in that case it would now take another 60 days. After 60 days we again asked for the status of our refund and Otel.com responded yet again with a third, slightly increased, voucher offer. When we again refused that they said the refund would now take another 60 days...
After another 60 days they just stopped replying to our emails. We have contacted Trivago several times and they say there is nothing they can do as our "contract" is with Otel.com and basically absolve themselves of all responsibility.
With the amount of reviews/complaints registered here Trivago obviously know Otel.com are a bunch of thieves but are still happy to promote them on their site.
In an ideal world, and if it would do any good, we would report this to the police to say we have been blatantly robbed by Otel.com, aided and abetted by Trivago who also ought to be arrested as accomplices and accessories to the crime.

Otel.com unilaterally decided to cancel booking without advice or refund. Booking made in March 2020 for December 2020, however on contacting hotel directly they advise that the booking was cancelled in September 2020 and the money refunded to the company. We were advised that all Metglobal bookings with Jurys Inn were cancelled at that time. No doubt this hotel chain was not alone. Now unable to contact via any medium. Just as well we checked as could have turned up at the hotel with no reservation. You can make your own opinion on whether Metglobal/Otel.com are operating on a dishonest and fraudulent basis. Do not book with them or any other Metglobal affiliated company as you will in all likelihood lose money.

Otel appear on Trivago search and appear to be a legit company - THEY ARE NOT.

Complained over months and months for my money back, never received and now they have stopped emailing me back. They take your money, never book the hotel and then so not respond to you. They are based in Turkey, you cannot contact then via phone, web chat or letter. If you do email them they initially come back with non/refundable and ignore you after that.

They are not a legit company after researching, many more people scammed - only £64 out of pocket but feel for others.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS FAKE COMPANY - if you have used a credit card then contact your provider and reclaim you money back IMMEDIATELY.

Worst company ever. Booked two hotels in the UK on this site, one in May one in August. UK was in complete lockdown in May and travel was forbidden. The hotel would have been closed. Even though it was a non refundable hotel, as they couldn't provide service paid for requested one. Refused. The hotel in August was refundable, as Eagles concert had been cancelled didn't want to stay in London so cancelled. Requested a refund. Email asking if I'd accept a voucher, knew we wouldn't be travelling this year so said no. Said a refund would take 60 days, that came and went, then another 30 days, that also came and went. Then ignored any further emails. I went through my credit card company and I eventually got a refund from them this week. Wouldn't touch this firm again if you paid me.......

They never attended my calls to amend my reservation, I lost all my money, never will buy here again.

Due to COVID-19, our trip needed to be cancelled. I requested a refund from Otel.com on April 12, 2020. They told me a refund would take 60 days to be processed. It has now 215 days. I have still not heard anything from them... It's a scam - DO NOT BOOK. I'm now down $238. I will never be booking with them again.

Can’t get through to customer services because they are based in Turkey, you might save a few pounds but when you try and get a refund or help you’ll be wasting your time.
I’ve booked a hotel with them and because of coronavirus UK was on lockdown they refused to give any refund.

Similar story to a lot of people on here, booked a hotel advertised as free cancellation. Naturally, due to COVID-19, trip was cancelled. Thought; "no problem, I've got free cancellation". Instead, they sent me a voucher - which I rejected. Couldn't get my money back from credit card. Now stuck out of pocket and nobody responding to messages, emails or phone calls. Avoid at all costs.

Booked a fully refundable hotel room for last February. Cancelled in February. Was promised a refund in 3 months, then 6 months, still waiting and no response to my emails.
I should have known better. Now you do!

I wish I had looked on here before making my booking, I am another poor customer waiting for a refund and its over 6 weeks by which time I should had received it. I cancelled within the time frame to qualify for a full refund. I cannot understand how they can still be trading, surely somebody can get them investigated and closed down?

Otel.com is a scam. We have a Facebook group with about 800 people who can help provide guidance on how to get your money back. “Scammed by Otel.com”. You can ask questions or read threads to at least be helpful even if you have hit a brick wall.

We booked with Golden Nugget. Thought it was hotels.com and due to covid was forced to cancel. Golden Nugget said they returned the money to them and no one will get back to us to return the money and Capital 1 won't stand behind us on this and denied our dispute stating that otels was out the money. They were not, thus why I called Golden Nugget. The credit card companies need to protect their clients.

Absolutely horrible company!!!! DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!!! I booked a hotel in February 2020 and had to cancel due to COVID. was assured that I would receive my refund in 7-10 business days but was sent a voucher for a reschedule. I declined the voucher twice and even spoke to a representative when their phones were still being answered, and they assured me my refund would be processed in 60 days. Still no refund 8 months later. I even had my bank dispute the charge since I can’t speak to anyone there and they refused the refund saying that a voucher was issued. The same voucher that I DECLINED TWICE! They are a bunch of crook and need to be shut down. I filed a complaint with the FTC and will continue to call and email until I get my money back.

Like so many people right now we had to cancel our holiday due to Covid 19. We booked a 4 day break in Nice, France in January through Otel.com for the start of October 20. In August EasyJet our airline advised us that due to the virus worsening in France they were cancelling our flight and we got our money back from them. I advised Otel.com of this and cancelled my hotel booking with them. I asked for a full refund as it was more than 6 weeks notice until our departure date. They did not respond until after the October date and after I had chased them up. Their response was they will not be refunding me because their supplier holds the booking and they have refused to refund. I advised them that my contract was with them but as yet they have not responded and it appears they are unlikely to.
I know they are based out of Turkey and as result do not have the same laws as within the E.U but it will be the last time I will have any dealings with them and my advise would be stay clear as they have no morals and see the virus an opportunity to rip you off.

Stay away, its a 100% scam, I couldn't believe it. When I tried to chargeback with credit card company, they seem to have a bunch of lawyers in Turkey, drawing it out, a lot of excuses. I really hope VISA and Mastercard officially make mark this company scam and Google travel accomodation will not incl them in their searches.
The best advice I can give, stay a way. You might save a couple of dollars now, but you might regret later
