I lost 800USD WITH THIS COMPANY!!! THEY DIDNT REfund me due to covid

SCAM! Bunch of thieves

If there was an option for minus stars I would have selected this. Like many others we booked through this 3rd party vendor to stay at Disney but all the hotels and flights were cancelled. When I contacted the hotel directly, the hotel agreed that we should be refunded the money and even helped write a letter to Otel.com telling them to release our funds back to us, but their response back was basically a big fat no! They have done something to the reso now, that I cant even contact them through the email anymore. It's an absolutely fraudulent company. Selling something, taking your money for it, but the product isn't actually available but they keep your money regardless. I will never book a hotel through these guys again. To make matters worse they are based in Turkey so if you want to speak to a "person" be prepared to pay the long distance charges since they don't have a 1-800 number - how convenience....for them!

Absolutely shocking and poor excuse for a travel firm! As other reviewers have said, take your money and now trips are cancelled due to Covid-19 they offer a voucher which doesn't work....
Took out a skype trial to call the Turkish contact number but the automated message states that they are 'busy' and have closed their call centres...great!
Website is down and inaccessible...ticket system is also complete waste of time..
£300 down the drain! Shame I can't put any less than 1 star!!!!! Complete fraud!!

Only lies and useless vouchers. Would rate them -10 stars for the experience. Avoid!

We booked two expensive resorts with Otel.com Due to COVID we were forced to take vouchers or no refund! As we were planning to return in 2021 we took the vouchers. Now we can not contact Otel.com. Their website is unresponsive so we can not use the vouchers!
Nothing states if they have gone out of business or not. Obviously a lot of people are having the same problem as me.

A disgraceful excuse for a travel firm. Avoid at all costs. They will take your money with no conscience. A pure con.

Back last year in jan 2020 I spent 370euros to fly to England to stay in a hotel, however because of the pandemic my flight got cancelled therefore would need to cancel my hotel also, after 4 months trying to contact them for a refund, they reply with a voucher I have to use within a year, I sent numerous emails saying it isn’t good enough and I wanted a refund, they never replied.. I’m trying to get on there website but nothing is coming up anymore, all over Facebook I’m seeing reviews of a scam, so it’s practically 400 euros I’ve lost when all I wanted to do was go and see my family. I’ve tried and contacted people for a refund as the money is needed during covid. I would 100% not recommend.

Booked accomidation $1496.20 for June this year and cancelled in March due to covid 19 and asked for a refund told after numerous emails that money will be repaid by end of year 31/12/2020

Like others I've lost £832 and can't get it back shocking avoid at all cost shocking.

Please do not use this scam company.I had a 3 night hotel booming with them for a hotel in Tavira on the Algarve.Due to Covid my flight was cancelled and I was unable to fly to Portugal.i tried on numerous occasions to call and email this company and all I got back was automated messages saying the company was closed due to Covid and please download your hotel voucher.
Obviously I could not use the voucher because I could not fly.This scam company has kept my money and are impossible to get in touch with.
Please do not ever use these scammers.

Actually should have no stars like many of your other respondees I have lost money with this company. Why are they allowed to continue to advertise on the web. They are criminals. The link they provide to use the worthless voucher does not work; their email address does not work and you cannot do anything on their site.

It’s a shame that this does not allow a zero rating. I booked a hotel in December 2019 for a holiday in April 2020. It was cancelled by the hotel and after I contacted Otel.com I received an email stating a refund would be paid. Nothing has transpired despite contacting them weekly by email. As I see from others, this comps has effectively stolen money and has no intention of repayment. Avoid at all costs

Thousands upon thousands of people are having refunds withheld by this company and they are refusing to honor vouchers offered as well. They do not respond to emails and will challenge credit card disputes. They are filth just throw your money away before giving it to this company. Awful. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. I booked a hotel in Vegas for October 2020 but ended up having to cancel. It said it was fully refundable if I cancelled by end of September and I cancelled in August. I received a credit to use but it said in the message that if I wanted a refund, to contact customer service. I was going back and forth with an agent and I asked him 3 times just to give me my refund back. Tried to call their customer service line which btw is now just an automated message.

Booked for a hotel stay which OTEL cancelled and got refunded by the hotel, but never refunded me. I have logged numerous queries on their site with automated responses, but nothing further. Given that OTEL received a refund from the hotel, I can only conclude that they used my money as their own, i.e. stole the funds blaming COVID. The whole world suffered, I understand that, but zero communication from their side is just not what I expected from a company which is on Tripadvisor.

If I could give a zero, I would. Do NOT use this company. Be sure that when booking through third-party sites that Otel.com is NOT the company. We booked a trip to Kanab, UT, paid $687. for a room in January 2020. In March, we were informed that travel was restricted. When we booked, we had a free cancellation policy. Otel.com will not and has NOT refunded any of our funds. They didn't pay the hotel. They initially said it would take 60 days to refund. Then 90 days, then by the end of the year. It's 12/9/2020 and still NO refund. DO NOT USE them!!!!!!!!!

This company is the worst!!! I booked 3 nights at a hotel in Jackson hole from otel.com. I was so excited because it was an incredible deal. I confirmed with the hotel 2 weeks before my arrival and they said I was all set. When I arrived at the hotel 2 weeks later to check in they couldn't find my reservation. After searching further, they found that it had been cancelled by otel.com. The strange thing is I got a few reminder emails from Otel to enjoy my trip and that my reservation was coming up. They never warned me that it had been cancelled. The hotel told me they have been seeing this problem way too often. Otel.com is terrible, DO NOT book with them.

In September 2019 we booked our hotel break in Tenerife for July 2020. We paid approx. €2,500 in full on the basis of a full refund if cancelled up to a week before the stay commenced.
On 28/02/2020 we cancelled due to the COVID pandemic and requested a full refund. We received only automated responses from the 'Manage my Booking' section of their website.
On 28/03/2020, we received a voucher to be used on their website to the value of our booking. This was not what we wanted or were entitled to under the booking terms. We checked if the voucher could be used but found it was useless and worthless.
We made several attempts to contact them through their website but only received automated responses.

We contacted our bank in July and gave then the full details and correspondence. We had used a debit card to pay for the booking. The bank investigated the matter and at the start of December, we were refunded in full through our banks charge back scheme. The bank (Irish bank, AIB) were brilliant to deal with.
There is no available login to Otel.com now but they are still offering bookings for hotels.

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITH OTEL.COM.

Otel. com confirmed me the cancellation on the 16th of march 2020 and wrote me, that my credit card has already been charged and i receive a full refund during 7-14 days.
I have not yet received a refund or a credit voucher. Otel. com lied to me all this time! I am very disappointed how I am treated by otel.com!
