Maria Gardner helped coordinate a bucket list trip around an already planned cruise around Japan for myself and family/friends. She worked with local vendors in Thailand, Japan and South Korea to create an exceptionally tailored experience for a month long trip. We was looking for a “Bespoke “ experience and she delivered. Communication was excellent and included numerous emails, calls and zoom meetings!

We just booked our dream trip for my husband’s 40th birthday—a safari in South Africa—and it’s all thanks to Millicent! She is incredibly warm, personable, and truly went above and beyond to make this experience possible for us. We had our hearts set on a specific lodge that was a bit over budget, but Millicent worked her magic, negotiated with the lodge, and somehow managed to deliver everything on our wishlist—under budget. I’m already dreaming about my 40th, and there’s no one else I’d trust to plan it. Thank you, Millicent!

My travel consultant Ben Cousins was extremely helpful, knowledgable and professional. When I first contacted Out of Office I only had the rough dates I wanted and little idea about destination. Ben was very patient and put together a bespoke travel experience that suited me perfectly within my budget. As a single older traveller I appreciated his expertise and guidance in all aspects of the trip. He was very thoughtful, considerate of my needs and quick in putting together a wonderful week in London and Scotland with attention to all the details. I always put together my own travel plans but as a new customer to Out of Office I will be using Ben again, it certainly took all the headache out of planning.

We recently worked with Maria who planned a pre and post cruise tour for a group of about 10 of us in Japan. The trip went off seamlessly, despite the fact that we were all arriving and departing on different days and times from different airports. Pick ups and drop offs were prompt with actual white glove service. Maria listened to our personal wants about the trip and planned accordingly, adding things that she quickly learned that we would enjoy. All of the guides on our tours were professional and helpful. It made our trip so much more enjoyable because we didn’t have to stress about how to use public transportation, we didn’t have to worry about getting lost, and didn’t have to spend precious vacation time discussing and disagreeing over how to get from here to there. Our trip couldn’t have been better.

Out of Office was a great find! We have spoken with Samantha from our very first enquiry to now when we have made a deposit on a great trip to Morocco. Samantha patiently helped tailor the exact trip for us--I handled our own air travel using points and our trip nicely takes care of all our transfers ,all our accommodations and a first-day tour at each of three cities that we will visit. Then we have time on our own to see the sites or relax. We'll be using intercity trains for the in-country transport (because we like trains and this was a way to adjust the plans to meet our budget). Now we just have to wait for our trip to start.

Maria has put together an exceptional luxury vacation for my partner and I on the Amalfi Coast, including stays in Capri and Sicily. She spent ample time getting to know us and to understand what would make it a tailored experience just for us. Maria nailed it. She was friendly, very professional and was able to answer our many questions. She was definitely familiar with the varies locations we were interested in. So far, very satisfied. We will review again, once we experience the actual vacation.

My brother-in-law recommended Out Of Office, and specifically Shaye Jolley, to help plan a minimoon and the experience has been 10/10.

Maria put together a great tour of Thailand and Laos for us creating many memorable moments. She understood our needs well, identifying some really nice hotels and all the travel arrangements worked brilliantly.

I have been working with Shaye on a trip to Thailand and Laos and she has put together an amazing itinerary. She asked our preferences and interests and put together an itinerary that was everything we were hoping for. Everything is taken care of from lodging, flights, boat trips on the Mekong River and visas. She is extremely knowledgeable, and her recommendations for hotels and tours were spot on. My husband and I are definitely looking forward to this trip knowing how organized everything will be. This is our second time using Out of Office since our first experience with them was a trip to India which was amazing.

Wolff worked with us to create a great trip to England. We got to see the sights in London, Bath and the Cotswalds we wanted to see and he also allowed time for us to track down family history in small towns and cemeteries as well as visit a farm in the Cotwalds.

I had a wonderful experience with Wolf who created a dream come true trip to Australia. Everything was very well organised and went smoothly while there. All my needs and expectations were full filled. Thank you again Wolf for your professionalism.

This was my first experience working through a travel agency and I was not disappointed; I wanted a worry-free, relaxing experience and Shaye made it happen. I'm so glad Shaye and Out of Office took the wheel in planning and problem solving my Mexican getaway in celebration of my 40th, I hope it's the first of many adventures to come:-)

Alice planned us a phenomenal vacation to Italy!! We (my wife, our boyfriend, and me) all felt safe while exploring Italian culture and food in Venice, Florence, and Amalfi.

I also loved having the security of Alice putting together all our confirmation numbers, local contact phone numbers, and the emergency 24hr number for Out Of Office in case of any hiccups on the trip!

I can’t speak highly enough about Ben and the Out of Office travel agency. I would unreservedly recommend them as you begin making your travel plans. I have not yet gone on my trip, so I’m referring to my booking experience. I was lucky enough to have Ben as my contact, and from the start, he was fully engaged in arranging a trip that met all of my expectations. He listened carefully to my requests to better understand my needs, and —with only one tweak — designed a customized itinerary that was just what I had envisioned. He was extremely knowledgeable about my atypical destination, and proposed beautiful hotels, suitable transportation, restaurants, etc. He’s a great communicator and he made the trip worry-free. And the bonus was that it was within my price range. 5 stars!

In late 2024, I was doing my best to plan a trip to Japan. I had always wanted to go to several locations there, but I didn't have a lot of experience planning a trip so far away with such a high language barrier. I knew some events and locations I really wanted to get to, but otherwise was somewhat clueless about how to make my vacation happen. When I became too overwhelmed with planning, I contacted Out Of Office to get some help.
Out Of Office’s experience planned for me was fantastic. I was thrilled with my vacation. I was contacted by Maria, a very sweet and energetic woman who seemed to be genuinely excited for me and my vacation. I told her what parts of Japan I wanted to see, what events and festivals I’d like to see, and what kind of cultural experiences I’d like to have. Since I had already booked my flights myself, I told her the dates I would be traveling to and from Haneda airport. In between was what I needed help planning.
Maria and Out Of Office got back to me with a super exciting itinerary. She created a trip that accounted for the dates and times I had already planned for, and filled in the rest. I really appreciated being able to have follow up calls and emails to discuss any details or uncertainties to make sure it’s exactly what I wanted. The trip itself was exactly what I hoped for. Out Of Office connected with other travel agencies locally, and I got some really amazing tours and experiences. They also arranged for my transportation between cities in Japan, and sent me a welcome package containing a wi-fi connection device so I could still use my phone abroad. After the trip, I was grateful to have a follow up call to discuss how it went and any significant issues.
There were only a few points of confusion on my trip. The biggest drawback was that I was not interfacing directly with Out Of Office while on my trip, but instead with Discova, another agency more specialized in Japan. There was also a little bit of uncertainty regarding the train tickets and usage. And I was aware that I was in some very lucky circumstances to be able to afford Out Of Office’s help.
Even so, I still very confidently rate them 5 stars. I wanted to be able to go to Japan, and see exactly what I wanted to see, and have a great time. Out Of Office and Maria delivered exactly that. I really liked the chance to get a bespoke travel itinerary with clear communication from experts. I’ll definitely be booking with Out Of Office again.

After cancelling our original honeymoon plans. Jaike went above and beyond to ensure we had the best trip planned, including upgrades and little surprises! We are planning with Wolf for a 10th anniversary trip to Japan for October 2025. Wolf has made the process so easy and comfortable from the start. He listened closely to our interests, wants and concerns. All the points of the journey have been worked out with care. Options were presented in various areas for types of accommodations and tours and such to fit us perfectly! It has been a smooth process working with Wolf and his attention and responses to our questions have been handled very thoroughly and timely. Shaye with Out of Office planned the most perfect trip to Bali for my husband and I’s 30th birthday. The itinerary was perfect, the accommodations were beautiful and the travel partners were amazing and so educational. The process was so simple and took all the stress off us. Highly highly recommend!
