Very bad company vehicle was full of faults biggest being brake system. Returned vehicle, two days later I received email informing me all faults had been rectified.
Next they said nothing was wrong with vehicle as I stared it was "Not Fit For Purpose"
Best advice is STAY clear from this company very poor service. Read reviews below this one. Wish I had.

Honestly I didn’t want to start doing reviews of a family run company
But it’s now over 12 months of lies
I will keep posting my over 12 months of lies and promises
People customers really think before you buy anything from them
They have the gift of the gab
My first story keep watching the reviews
Was the owner unbelievable man drove my pick up to my house in winter in a storm ☔️ to the Wirral
His mrs with kids in car at 7 o’clock at night following to take him home after the delivery unbelievable service I thought 🙈
The back tail gate didn’t open but insured me to would fixed with in a week
Money paid finance done so they earn more money form that than a cash deal
BIG thing for me shuck my hand 🖐️ don’t worry I will get that done with in a week
I will normally never have a vehicle leave my property until its 100% everything you want to hear lovely man
But I insisted because I was off the road and it’s my work vehicle my income
Don’t worry it will be done
Well over 12 months now that you can not open the door of your vehicle
I will keep everyone posted of the year and a half of cast to my business
It would been cheaper to me if they were horrible and didn’t promise the world
It would of been done now
Beware
Avoid this company at all cost!
I purchased a VW golf back in July and I was promised that some minor faults with the vehicle would be corrected, such as missing parcel shelf, broken vent, damaged alloys, and multiple scratches and dents to the bodywork. This work was not fulfilled and the work they claimed that was carried out was of very poor standard if any! Yet I waited over 3 weeks.
I contacted various times and was either ignored or given silly excuses (blame passed between both the husband and wife team).
When I eventually collected the vehicle mid august (agreeing to leave the work being done, I said I would have it done myself and bill them) they couldn’t even be bothered to meet me and left the key and log book in the boot of the vehicle. When I got there the car was covered in bird muck and had zero fuel. So I call and he agrees it was wrong of them and agreed to meet me at the Starbucks local where I was able to get fuel -not sure how I even made it there.
He then proceeded to ask could I leave a good review as it’s “hard times” the absolute cheek after this experience.
I was promised there and then that as advertised I would get 30 day gap insurance and the warranty sent over. I also requested the full service history which it was advertised with - to which I have still not received 3 months on! They practically want me to beg that’s if they have it at all.
I’ve been Mis sold and treated less than human throughout the last 3/4 months by this company and wouldn’t want to see anyone else go through the same. AVOID
Would 1000% recommend! Recently got my 2nd car both from Owens Express Motors and couldn't be happier.
As a new driver and not having a clue about cars and having my heart set on a Audi Leon & Toni made my life so much easier in purchasing my first car when every other dealer I had spoken to were more interested a quick sale rather than what I wanted.
I told Leon & Toni what I wanted within my budget and they both worked hard to get me exactly what I was after and cheaper than any other dealers.
After having a car accident that wasn't my fault and my first car I got off them being wrote off I called Leon to see if he could help and he couldn't of done more in making sure he was able to sort me exactly the car I wanted. They have been there through every step of the way from helping me find a new car to giving me advice.
Couldn't recommend them more and they will be the first ill call when I'm due to upgrade.
Thanks for everything :)!
Excellent service for start to finish would recommend very happy thanks
Part exchanged a Kia Ceed for a newer Kia Ceed here and I’m thrilled. Excellent customer service and true to their word. I will not hesitate to pass family and friends to Owens express motors when looking for a car
I wouldn't have normally bought a car from a small business, trust issues etc...this experience was very different and not what I would expect. My daughter was looking for a specific Vauxhall Corsa, colour and trim combination, Owens just happened to have the exact one. We pulled up and immediately I was dubious and cautious, I'm not the easiest of customers to be fair and always diligent. I was greeted by Toni and Leon, not pushy, super friendly and refreshingly open and transparent about the cars warts and all, that immediately caught me off guard and that was something I didn't expect. I pointed out a few tiny things on the car but in fairness it had just arrived and nothing had been done, nevertheless my daughter fell in love with it and after a great chat we left to think about it. We had literally had made our minds up anyway and called back to put a tiny deposit on to secure the car, these guys are just so nice and very easy to deal with. We've just taken delivery of it 2 weeks later and its amazing! Owens Express motors have done so much work and it's even been to the Vauxhall main dealer for a service. The car is only a few years old but they have literally made it look like new, we're so happy. I don't normally do reviews but these guys are worthy of one and my daughter is super happy! If you are reading this so you can work out if you can trust Owens Express Motors then the answer is a big YES. Don't waste your time looking around for a decent garage, you've just found it.

Once again another brilliant purchase from Leon highly recommend nothing to much trouble thank you John Lang
Bought a Mercedes s class nearly 2 years ago.
Car has never missed a beat.
Leon is a genuine guy and went above and beyond.
Will return shortly to get my mrs some newer wheels.
Never experienced such a pleasant car buying experience in my life!
After dealing with main dealers for most of my car buying life i was pleasantly surprised by the care and attention given to myself when I bought my E43 from Owens, The service was fast and my treatment was amazing with them bending over backwards to make sure everything was fine and I was looked after.
I couldn’t recommend them more and will definitely be browsing for a new car soon for my partner!
Thanks again guys!
If you only ever read and take note of ONE review... let this be the one...
Nothing but lie after lie from this company, to finally, after still waiting for work to be completed on a car I purchased in October... now I get ignored.
I am now having to contact trading standards.
PLEASE take your business elsewhere. I wish I took more note of some of the other reviews of this company before I purchased the car from them.
Great prices on all vehicles. When I went to purchase my car, there was no need to haggle on price as it was already the second cheapest like for like in the country. Didn't mind paying 'that little bit extra' as it came with a 15 month Warranty included in the cost. I also only work 10 miles away and usually I'm very busy during the day so couldn't make it down to collect of an evening so Mr Owens and Rhys arranged to drop the vehicle off to my place of work for free! Everything was sorted as agreed and they even helped me tax the vehicle and sort the logbook before the car arrived so all I had to do was collect the key and shake their hand. Can't think of how it could go any smoother! Thanks guys
Bought a lovely Land Rover Evoque in white, the car drives like brand new, my kids love it as it got so much space. My friend recommended Owens garage last year didn't know they can do a superb job like this, Thanks again xxxx

Just collected my car. Absolutely made up with it. The service was amazing from start to finish with lots of advise from the lads helping me chose the right car within my budget and looking at tax and insurance costs. Thank you
Where do I even begin? Purchased an Audi A1 back in November 2021. WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. Long story short, the car had been incorrectly re-mapped by the previous owners and this caused exhaust fumes to leak into the car as the DPF filter was destroyed. To counteract this and hide the warning lights, the EGR had been unplugged so I wouldn't get any messages on the dash board!! This car could have quite literally killed me from just the fumes alone, not even to mention the other potential engine faults that wouldn't show up with due to the ECU being illegally tampered with!! the car had no acceleration either as the ECU had not been correctly coded. The worst part is the log book showed the previous owner had returned the vehicle to O.Owen just a few weeks before after having it for just a month, so the previous owner clearly found the same issues, they were just within their 30 day refund entitlement so this was dealt with swiftly. I could not do this as I recognised this fault after 2-3 months. so the dealership were aware of this fault, but proceeded to slap a new "MOT" on the car and resell it. The person who does all of their MOT's clearly isn't qualified as this vehicle (GL11 FUU) should have failed on emissions alone.
The customer service from A.Owen was absolutely appalling from start to finish. I emailed to explain this fault and asked for a repair, they took months to offer a "repair". They blocked my phone number during this time so I couldn't contact. they fobbed me off with their "customer service" email - which had been been previously taken to court for similar issues (article is online - motor complaint scam). The damages came to a minimum of £3,500, but they were only willing to offer me £350 as a "contribution" to get it fixed myself. This was an absolute joke so I accepted the repair. By this point, it was 6 weeks after I emailed and they refused to collect the car. so I drove it back to Newbury and left it to be repaired. the dealership became very difficult at this point and would tell me if would be ready by a certain date then not say anything and block my number again, despite signing a written agrrement agreeing a date. they also began to lie to the finance company involved and claimed the vehicle had been ready to collect for weeks and they "had been trying to call me" despite them telling me it still wasn't ready just days before. I eventually collected the car 4 weeks later and found they had used 60 miles of my fuel to carry out these "repairs" but they ignored my emails when I asked them for this money back.
As soon as I got the car back, I noticed the exact same faults. so I contacted my finance company to try and get the finance unwound. this unwinding process took another 4 months as the dealership would continue to lie to the finance company about the car, provide fake receipts for parts, ignore emails and calls and generally just refuse to do anything what so ever.
when the finance did eventually get unwound, the dealership were refusing to refund me my deposit and claimed I had "damaged" the rear bumper, alloys and under door compartment. however the pictures taken by the delivery driver when the car was returned to them for the second time (again - as they refused to come and collect it) proved it arrived to them in the same condition as the point of sale. it was evident they had damaged the car themselves and took pictures to send to the finance company in a desperate attempt to frame me for the damages so they could hold onto some or all of my deposit to repair these "damages".
I eventually got my deposit back, but half of it came from the finance company out of their own pocket as the dealership still refused to refund the whole amount even after I proved I did not cause the damage. The dealership were threatened with small claims court countless times and have now been barred from ever engaging in finance deals with car money or close brothers motor finance again due to all of their antics.
I really hope this helps warm off future customers of this lying, dangerous, unethical and sorry excuse for a motor dealership. I can only imagine how much more difficult this situation would have been had the finance company not stepped in to help me. this took 6 months with their help. I can imagine I would have had no help what so ever and would have gone to court.
The vehicle had been re-MOT'd during this dispute period so who ever now owns this vehicle - whether through scrap or through A.Owen, has been sold a vehicle with the exact same problems I had as they will never pay £3,500 to repair a vehicle when they only offered me £350 for this. Please do not make the same mistake!!!
ALSO - their "warranty" does not cover anything when it comes to making a claim so do not think this will protect you!!
Never buy from here. We were sold a rust bucket. £5k for a vehicle that we were assured was a great vehicle for its age. We specifically asked about the undercarriage /chassis and were assured about this. In fact we received it a week late because they wanted to ensure the chassis was sound. Less than 9 months later the rear axle is completely rusted off. Undrivable. Trusted garage has it on lift and says underneath is so riddled with rust there's no way we could get it to pass an Mot without weeks of work. They've suggested getting it to a scrapper to see what value we can salvage and warned us never to buy from the garage we bought it from again. We supposedly had a 15 month warranty, which was supposed to reassure us. Went to claim on it, found they hadn't put it in place! Only retrospectively put it in place under pressure. Even then, it doesn't cover this and even if it did max £500 limit to cover! So, my advice - avoid like the plague or get a mechanic you trust to look at the vehicle before you buy.
Purchased a fantastic van for my courier job which I am delighted with. Staff very helpful with advice and recommendations.
Excellent customer service and delivered straight to my home.
Thanks you
