Oxford Oro bicycle from a…


I bought an Oxford Oro bicycle from a local dealer in October 2022. After only around 400 km, in October 2024, an electrical component in the motor failed.

According to the dealer, the bike was brought in for service just a few days (DAYS!) after the warranty supposedly expired. I don’t recall it that way, but unfortunately, I have no proof.

Now, after more than 4 months of waiting while my bike sits in Oxford's service, nothing has been resolved. Even if the warranty had expired by just a few days, I would have expected a brand like Oxford to take responsibility for a clear manufacturing defect—not force me to pay for a completely new motor!

Absolutely disappointed. First and last Oxford bike for me.

I do not recommend this brand in Belgium. Buying an Oxford bike is nothing more than a gamble.

Ik kocht een Oxford Oro-fiets bij een lokale dealer in oktober 2022. Na slechts ongeveer 400 km fietsen, in oktober 2024, begaf een elektrisch onderdeel van de motor het.

Volgens de dealer werd de fiets binnengebracht voor service slechts een paar dagen (DAGEN!) na het verlopen van de garantie. Ik herinner het me anders, maar helaas heb ik geen bewijs.

Ondertussen staat mijn fiets al meer dan 4 maanden bij de serviceafdeling van Oxford, zonder enige oplossing. Zelfs al was de garantie écht maar een paar dagen verstreken, dan nog zou ik verwachten dat een merk als Oxford verantwoordelijkheid neemt voor een duidelijk fabricagefout—in plaats van mij te laten opdraaien voor een volledig nieuwe motor!

Helemaal teleurgesteld. Eerste en laatste Oxford-fiets voor mij.

Ik raad dit merk absoluut niet aan in België. Een Oxford-fiets kopen is pure loterij.

J’ai acheté un vélo Oxford Oro chez un concessionnaire local en octobre 2022. Après seulement environ 400 km, en octobre 2024, un composant électrique du moteur est tombé en panne.

Selon le concessionnaire, le vélo aurait été déposé en service quelques jours seulement (JOURS !) après l’expiration de la garantie. Je ne me souviens pas de cela ainsi, mais malheureusement, je n’ai aucune preuve.

Aujourd’hui, après plus de 4 mois d’attente pendant que mon vélo est immobilisé chez Oxford, toujours aucune solution. Même si la garantie avait juste expiré de quelques jours, je m’attendais à ce qu’une marque comme Oxford assume un défaut de fabrication évident, au lieu de me faire payer un moteur neuf !

Totalement déçu. Premier et dernier vélo Oxford pour moi.

Je ne recommande absolument pas cette marque en Belgique. Acheter un vélo Oxford, c’est un pur jeu de hasard.

Lifetime Warranty means just that

I'd had this Oxford bum bag for a few years now. The zip had broken a while back and I thought nothing of it, it was only when I realised that the bag came with a, "Lifetime Warranty", that I thought I'd get in touch with the dealer that I bought it from on eBay.
Well I had no receipt as such, to prove that I'd bought it from them, only a screenshot of the details of the sale, and not much else.
Well the dealer didn't seem to be all that interested, saying it was too long ago to honour the warranty, strange that, as it's a "Lifetime Warranty".
Long story short I got in touch with Oxford products direct, and within one day Katie had been in touch with me on how to go about resolving this very minor problem.
Well I'm pleased to say that, "Oxfords Lifetime Warranty", isn't just empty words. Today I received my new bum bag.
I would just like to add, that in all the years that I've been buying Oxford products, this is the first time that I've ever had a problem with anything that I've bought. It's just great that Katie, sorted it all out for me.

Oxford products Rainex motorcycle cover

I bought this Oxford Rainex cover in March 2023. The light material became shredded mid 2024, I think because it is not UV resistant, and I wrote to Oxford Products because I felt the life of the product was no better than the cheap covers that I could buy for a tenner. I believe I paid something like £70 for it to ensure that it would be reliable for a few years. They replied saying that it was only guaranteed for 12 months. Pretty shoddy I think and can't understand how they have attained the reputation they apparently have. Not by me!

Customer Service at its best!

I wrote an email to the Oxford customer service team asking for some information about where I can purchase a replacement screw for my HJC F70 visor screen, and I must say that I didn't have much hopes for a helpful response.
The customer service team responded the next day advising that unfortunately they don't sell these parts, BUT they have a set of screws and would happily send it to me free of charge.
To the Oxford Customer Team: thanks again for the kind gesture, much appreciated.

Screen screws

Bought screenscrews at £19.95 from a Yamaha dealership. They are made in China, so might aswell have bought cheaper ones as they are not any way superior. The first one I tried to put in started rounding using Allen key provided before it was even fully screwed in. Ended up using a weird sized Allen key to get them in. Was told by customer services to take them back. Couldn't be bothered with the grief. Not worth the extra money

Oxford Mondial Advanced jacket and…

Oxford Mondial Advanced jacket and trousers. Good product let down by terrible zips on cuffs and vents. Bought 5 years ago and the zips were never right, forever snagging and bursting open. One trouser vent zip could only ever be closed by feeding zip through a few teeth at a time. The cuff zips have never worked properly. Should have taken back to shop but instead have struggled for years. One cuff zip has now broken completely. Won't be buying Oxford again.

Noel - Rep for Oxford Products

For Xmas 2022 I received a pair of Alpinestars GP Pro R3 in Black, red and white. In May 2023 after wearing the gloves for a few rides I noticed the stitching was coming away on the palm of the gloves to which I made the supplying dealership aware of this issue.

Kindly Pxford products replaced the gloves for a like for like pair. I thought nothing more thought it was a faulty pair of gloves. However after receiving the new pair and on the 16th April 2024 they again ripped at the seam but this time on the side of the glove.

I again made the supplying dealership aware and mentioned I would not like the same glove again as I have had 2 faults with these gloves. I asked if I could order the newer version of the glove and offered to pay the difference as I didn't expect them without cost as they were more expensive.

I was told in April 2024 when I dropped the gloves off that the new pair would be ordered through Oxford Products as these were the supplier of the gloves.
I went for a month before being told it would be June 2024 before I would receive the gloves.

After waiting an waiting I had no contact or date from Oxford Products as and when the gloves would be supplied.

I then called into a separate motorbike clothing dealer where I found the exact gloves I ordered through the dealership to Oxford Products in the colour and size I wanted.

I made the supplying dealer aware to cancel the gloves from Oxford Products as they could not supply the gloves to me after a reasonable time frame.

To which after buying the gloves from the other supplier, Noel has informed the dealer I cant request my money back as it was replacement or repair only to which I was never made aware of.

Noel is stating that he will order the gloves in the colour and size I want, making me realise the gloves had never been ordered in the first place.
I am wanting my money back as I have been supplied with 2 sets of gloves which were faulty on the seams/ stitching of the glove to which I asked for the newer pair to the supplying dealer and offered to pay the difference. They had the opportunity to supply the gloves but could not supply and due to being peak motorbike season I have had to borrow gloves in order to go out on my motorbike.

Noel is refusing to offer me a refund and I will be taking the matter to a small claims court if this is not resolved satisfactory and a refund is given.

If this is resolved I will remove the review.

I just want to state I have no fault towards the supplying dealership as I have had to liase through them to speak with Oxford Products and do apologise if this goes back to them as its not aimed at them by any means.

Best customer service bar none

During a recent Glasgow to Edinburgh ride in heavy rain my gloves were dripping black dye. I contacted Oxford who requested purchase details. As if hardly used them, I was shocked to find I'd had them 4 year's, they looked new still. Oxford asked if I would return them for quality checking.
I was delighted to receive a brand new replacement pair in the post.
This is above and beyond expectation and I shall continue to support Oxford products. A truly great British company.

Oxford Mondial Trousers Warranty

Having used these new Oxford Mondial trousers in the rain Im afraid I have to report they leaked worse than my old ones. Riding all day in wet gear is no fun and the ones I received are not fit for purpose. You never know when its going to rain whilst your out on your bike but you need to stay dry on the inside. So unfortunately I would only give the trousers a 2 star rating. Customer service originally was very good and deserved a 5 star rating. As per previous report they did try to resolve amicably maybe Ive just been unlucky.

Some time ago I purchased a set of Oxford Mondial motorcycle jacket and trousers. Recently the trousers started to let water in around the seat / groin area. After searching high and low for the original receipt with no success called the customer service to see if there was anything could be done to reproof the trousers. They were just outside the 3 year warranty but Katie asked me to return them so that they could take a look at them and advise further. Trousers arrived with them on Friday afternoon imagine my surprise when Wednesday afternoon a brand new pair of pants were delivered by their courier. No quibble no hassle just a first class absolutely fantastic after care service. Well done Oxford Products and special thanks to Katie and the team, a very satisfied customer.

Fantastic customer service/after sales…

Fantastic customer service/after sales from Chloe at Oxford Products. My husbands Oxford Stormex motorcycle cover had developed a fault. I contacted Oxford on the 9th May. Chloe instructed me to return the cover for further inspection. I sent the cover, the same day. Today, the 13th May, a brand new replacement cover was delivered from Oxford. Absolutely outstanding service. Thank you so much.

Had a problem with a motorcycle cover (one off) and customer services (Katie I believe) immediately responded and sent me out a replacement. Very proficient.

Terrible Customer Service

If you are lucky and don't have a faulty product then you will be fine. The issue arises when the product is faulty and you contact Oxford, they are not good at resolving the problem.

I had a faulty indicator. I had two sets, one front and one back. They were on a bike I was building. I didn't have the receipt anymore(who keeps them for every single thing they buy, they cost 20 odd quid). I spent many hours troubleshooting the problem including fully rewiring all the lights, tried a new relay but nothing worked. It didn't dawn on my that one of the indicators might be faulty but it turned out it was.

I was asked to make a video for them showing this which I did but after I went to the effort of that they then said I needed to send it in for investigation. Bare in mind this has taken many days of emailing back and forth. The indicetors are a low value item and my bike is now overdue for being on the road and can't be used.

I would have expected once they saw the indicator is 100% faulty they could have shipped out a replacement which at a cost to them of only a few pounds but no they would not do it.

If it was a high value item I could have seen the need to send it in for testing etc but it is not and postage costs to me would almost negate the point of shipping it to them. Utterly pointless. The main gripe being all the time my bike is unusable.

I have had a lot of Oxford products over the years on many different bikes but now I will have to think twice as if you have a problem with any then you are going to probably have lots of issues dealing with them.

It doesn't take much to have good customer service but Oxford have a lot of improving to do. They've just lost a loyal customer for a matter of a few pounds.

customer services are amazing

Called customer services when I found out part of my adjustable leaver guards was missing after a ride and they replaced it for me without question. Great service and very helpful. Couldn't ask for better.
