Hi Frank,

I hope you are well, I believe this was in regards to a call out charge of €59 which covers the cost of a call out to check the machine and find out whether it would be worthy fixing or not. As we as a business need to pay for each worker a wage, we need to charge the amount which will cover the costs before even making a profit.

We hope you and potential clients reading the review response can understand that in order to send someone out to check a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher or oven a few costs need to be covered such as fuel, engineer wages, customer service agent wages, rent for the unit to have a support team, taxes, vehicle maintenance, etc. To minimise any impact we charge it based on the lowest possible scenario and only if we can repair we charge a labour where we will make a profit to grow and continue to offer the great service to more areas across Ireland.

Technician never showed up

Waited a week for a booking then Waited in all afternoon but no technician arrived. Hours later told the job was done - it wasn’t! And now no technician in the area so booking cancelled. Guess I’ll start the search all over again!

Lost coffee machine

I was severely disappointed with this company. I send my coffee machine to be fixed. Unfortunately my machine was lost and I was without a machine for 3 weeks. I paid money online for the machine to be fixed. I eventually received a new machine but am told will not be receiving a refund of the money that I paid for it to be fixed.

We sincerely regret the issue with your coffee machine during the collection process, which was handled by DPD at the time. Due to this incident, we have since switched to UPS for a more reliable premium collection service.

As we take full responsibility for our customers' property, we resolved the situation by providing you with a brand-new Sage Barista Express Impress (€729) at no extra cost, including a one-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Regarding the service fee (€112.40), this covered the collection, diagnosis, descaling, and repair process—costs that would have been necessary regardless of the outcome, potentially along with additional spare parts. While we regret the inconvenience, we believe we provided a fair resolution by replacing your machine entirely within 22 days—effectively giving you a brand-new unit for a fraction of the cost.

Throughout this process, our team maintained prompt communication, ensuring you were informed every step of the way. Expanding our premium service nationwide has come with its challenges, but our priority has always been to provide the best possible experience for our customers. We stand by our commitment to fairness and customer satisfaction.
