Would never use again.

Used Parcelbroker to ship an expensive pair of speakers in UK. The speakers were double boxed in the manufacturers original protective casings. Item arrived looking very battered and unfortunately the speakers no longer worked. I had taken their insurance but was told this policy only covered physical loss of the item, and not damage. PB refuse to be held responsible even though I have photographic evidence that the parcel had been damaged. They offered to refund the insurance premium of £30 but this is of little comfort when dealing with a damaged item worth nearly £1000.They refuse to accept that Part 1 Chapter 4 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies to them, so my only recourse is through the courts.

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and understand how upsetting it is when a valuable item arrives damaged.

As we do not control the packaging, collection, handling or transport, we cannot provide blanket cover for every type of item. For this reason we take exceptional care to make our limits of liability clear before a booking is placed. During the specific booking step where extended liability is offered, the process physically pauses and requires customers to read the full limits of liability and click “I have read and understand” before continuing. This ensures transparency and informed consent before payment is made.

Hi-fi speakers are one of a small number of categories where extended liability covers loss but not damage, due to the known fragility and risk of internal component failure in transit — particularly with used equipment. This is stated expressly and is the very first item on the short list of 18 categories.

Although damage could not be covered in this case, we offered to refund the extended liability fee in full as a goodwill gesture.

We genuinely regret the situation, and our aim remains to ensure customers have clear, fair information so they can make fully informed decisions when shipping high-value or delicate goods.

Great service - wish I’d discovered them earlier

So refreshing to discover a brand that delivers on all levels. Highly competitive pricing, very user-friendly website and, most impressively, real and easy-to-contact people in customer services who respond promptly and efficiently (thank you, Scarlet!). I will definitely use their services again.

Didnt collect parcel as promised its still sitting here 3 days later!

Booked for a parcel to be delivered by a 48 hour courier. Collection day was Monday which arrived and went . Despite staying in all day the courier never turned up. After complaining to ParcelBroker no apology just said it would be rescheduled the next day. Waited in again all day no courier! Awful service unreliable and wasted a lot of my time! Would never use again!

After reviewing your booking, we can see that two different couriers were arranged to collect on the same day. FedEx successfully collected and delivered your shipment, but Parcelforce regrettably encountered an issue with their collection.

It may help to think of us like a travel agent — a high street agent wouldn’t be directly responsible for a delayed plane, and in the same way, we don’t own or operate the courier vehicles ourselves. Our role is to provide choice, convenience, and discounted rates, while offering support from our team to coordinate and resolve any issues with the carriers in partnership with you.

We’re pleased to confirm that our customer service team have since spoken with you and arranged to switch the booking from Parcelforce to UPS. We hope this alternative service provides a smoother experience, and we remain on hand should you need any further assistance.

Would highly recommend.

I have used Parcel broker for many shipments from the US and Europe to UK and recently for shipping to Northern Ireland, they have always been very helpful and knowledgeable, recently Lauren helped with the required paperwork and customs information taking the stress out of importing goods. Would highly recommend.

Superbly helpful

The girls at ParcelBroker had to deal with my frustration, and ridiculous problems caused by Fedex. (37 days for an "International Priority" shipment from the US, supposed to take 2 business days....) They were unfailingly patient and helpful, going above and beyond to try to get my parcel to me. Special Mention goes to Sophie and Lauren. Customer service does not get better!

We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed with your experience. After reviewing your order, the shipment contained cleaning products which required a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) so our carrier could confirm whether the goods were classified as hazardous. Unfortunately, without this documentation we were unable to proceed on the chosen economy service.

As soon as it became clear that the shipment couldn’t move without the required paperwork, a full refund was issued immediately. The extra charge mentioned related only to the alternative service required for compliant shipment of potentially hazardous materials.

We always aim to be transparent and supportive, but hazardous goods must be properly declared for safety and legal reasons. We’re sorry for any frustration this caused, but we hope this clarifies why the delay occurred.
