Great service to use. I have used PD for a number of years now without fault. I have used them for domestic and international postage for all types of parcels, heavy boxes of books and small packets of more valuable items. I have done drop offs and had collections done. I think once a parcel was not collected the next day but the day after, I lice rural and I knew it would be collected so I didnt panic - and sure enough the following day it was on its way.

I am a small business owner and relied on ParcelDirect to ship customer orders during the Christmas period. This was a mistake.
My experience:
Three Consecutive No-Shows: I booked collections for 3 separate days this week (Dec 15, 16, & 17). The driver failed to arrive every single time.
False Promises: Each day, I contacted customer support and was explicitly told a driver would "definitely" collect that day. These were false assurances.
Business Impact: I was left waiting for days with packages sitting in my office, forcing me to eventually find an alternative carrier at my own expense to get orders to my customers.
If you are a business that values reliability and honesty, I cannot recommend using this service. The lack of communication and failure to deliver on paid services is unacceptable.

I have been chasing parcel direct about a package that we paid to get collected. the package wasnt collected for a week, then was lost - we got no explanation or apology. we were told it was unfortunate. They wouldnt put us in contact with their partner UPS either.

They change you with the excuse to give the wrong measures. In reality they give you a very good price so you buy their service and then they will overcharge because you gave “wrong” measures. This is a rubbish company

Simply Avoid this company. . My parcel from london was “delayed” repeatedly. I called repeatedly and the service was atrocious. I asked to speak to management and was told they were on holidays. Then the company stopped answering their phone. DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY … EVER!!!!

I placed the order on Tuesday. No one collected by Friday. I contacted customer service and they told me someone would collect that day. No one came. It was an urgent package so it was very annoying. I used a different service. I told them I'd like to cancel as no one has collected and instead of an apology all i got was 'Hi, I will cancel this. Be advised, refunds take 5-10 business days.' A very cold response. If the main function of your business is to collect boxes and deliver and you are unable to organise the collect part then there is something seriously wrong.

My sister posted a €200 mirror from Cambrige to Ireland on June 24th. The shipping cost €45 which I thought was fair.
Two months later I recieved an email from Parcelsdirect saying I was liable for an additional €48 for not including the width of the packaging and €79 custom charges.
I questioned theses charges with Parcelsdirects. They told me I had agreed to these charges when I accepted their terms and conditions
In their terms and conditions it states that "the reciever or sender should pay custom charges before delivery". But I was only made aware of the custom charges 2 months after delivery.
Parcelsdirect are not abiding by their own terms and conditions. Custom charges are being hidden from customers until months after delivery. Not a good service.

I used them for parcel something within Dublin in February- not only did they not inform me that the product couldn’t be delivered due to a label issue - they left it with a neighbour after a week. When I finally received it back - I realised that they had broken it into two pieces - and this was not glass but rather wood, which takes a lot to break.
In addition, when I contacted them a customer manager named Michael told me that he would do the needful but even after 5 months nothing is done. They don’t respond to emails. Specially the customer service manager Michael - I can understand if the company can’t do anything or if time is required but he did not even care to respond to any emails nor provide any update. After 5 months I got them to refund my parcel fees after following up many times. But what about the product they purposely broke? This wasn’t even glass or anything delicate.
Avoid them if you don’t want a hassle with your delivery.

We are dissatisfied with the unfulfilled collection of a parcel, booked two weeks ago. We understand there have been attempted collections at the apartment complex, but the lack of direct contact with the designated person for the parcel is unacceptable and has prevented successful collection.

Company picked up my parcel for next day delivery. Back in May.....
After 1 week the told me after numerous phone calls that they lost my machine. It was in quite a big box. They said they check the warehouse for this missing machine.
Another 2 weeks past and no sign of it. After more numerous phone calls they said no it's definitely lost. They said I need to make a claim.
Now bearing in mind this is a Sewing machine. That they lost.
They asked for receipts to prove value. I sent these in and stated on their website it was worth 380 euro when I booked the delivery.
They told me today they will pay me 20 euro for my machine that they lost.
While they received payment from UPS for my machine. Absolute scammers wouldnt recommend using them to any businesses.

I had a terrible experience with Parcel.ie. I paid in advance for a delivery from Dublin to Brazil. The delivery was crucial for me – I had just undergone a C-section and was traveling alone with a newborn baby. I couldn't carry the luggage myself, so I trusted this company to help.
Not only was the service never fulfilled, but I was also left without my clothes and my baby's belongings, and I have been waiting for weeks for a refund that was promised but never delivered. I paid extra for delivery notifications and handling, but they never even rang the doorbell or contacted the recipient.
I’ve sent multiple emails, and the only answers I received were vague and dismissive. Their customer service is unprofessional and unresponsive.
This company is unreliable, irresponsible, and should not be trusted. I will be reporting them to:
* CCPC – Ireland’s Consumer Protection agency
* ECC Ireland – EU consumer dispute resolution
* Small Claims Court – For legal action
* Public platforms like Trustpilot, Reddit, Boards.ie, and Google Reviews
If you care about your items or peace of mind, DO NOT USE Parcel.ie.

Have been a Parcel Direct customer for about 4 years now. The website & app is easy to use, the company offers excellent pricing and delivery options & the
customer service is always reliable & helpful. Highly recommend!

The parcel received by the courier on Thursday morning, the distance to be covered is 112 km, was first scanned incorrectly and instead of going to the sorting office in Dublin, it went to the sorting office in Galway ... Which caused delays ... Then, once again, the parcel went to the wrong sorting office, which is why it is over 400 km away ... I chose the next working day delivery from the offer on the website ... So the parcel should be delivered on Friday! Meanwhile, it is the weekend, so the delay will be several days to a week ... This is hilarious, I recently ordered a TV that was sent from the Netherlands and arrived 2 days later ... meanwhile, the parcel from Ireland to Ireland will take longer than things bought on alliexpress

Just avoid this company. They are possibly the most unprofessional delivery service I have ever used. The shop they use in D15 couldn't be any more dodgy. The same 8/9 men hanging around a small computer shop, why do they need so many staff? Something going on there. The first time I attempted to drop off my package I was basically told I had the wrong shop and they never heard of parceldirect.ie.
After calling support they told me they would call the shop, which they did. The reception I got on my return was despicable.
At that moment I had a feeling my package would get "lost". Low and behold the tracking number supplied yielded no return every time I checked. When you ring support one of the many Michael's (I think there is just one but a ploy to avoid responsibility) will tell you not to worry and that they will sort it out without problem and that they will ring you back with an update. They NEVER ring you back, NEVER. I never got a reply or a reference number sending to their support email either.
They eventually told me that they had lost my package and would "try" refund me the value of the package. That was about 3 months ago and true to form not one phone call or email received from them.
Just go with a well known company and save yourself the enormous amount of hassle.

I shipped package in December and it was lost by courier. I was asked all details about the content and got vague responces or no rensponce at all for the last 4 months. Each time they say they deal with it. 4 months..... Michael either not reply to my emails or say 'we are working on it'. I can't believe it takes 4 months to sort it out.

They went above and beyond when I had to ship my belongings to the states. My parcels arrived on time and everything went very well.

Very helpful staff, I needed to ship a package in a hurry and they went above and beyond to help me out!
