We stayed at Skipsea Sands and had a fantastic week. We had requested a pet free caravan as my daughter has allergies, they had booked us into one that did take pets by accident but realised before we arrived and had upgraded us to a new 2017 model that was pet free and immaculate through out which was much appreciated. All staff were very friendly and polite and very helpful. The site was clean with plenty to do and the kids evening entertainment team were brilliant. It was my youngest daughters birthday while we were away and the staff really made her feel special. This was our first family holiday and we had an amazing time I would highly recommend this site and would love to go back next year.
I and my wife booked two weeks at Cresswell towers northumberland. We drove for four and a half hours, but we were given the wrong booking ,you will have to go to Skipsea. We were on the road for eight and a half hours. My wife is in a wheelchair, and they will not talk to me.
Skipsea Sands
Awful experience of this place. I booked 2 caravan's, one had no heating or hot water and it took 24 hours to rectify. No security dealing with fights and arguments at 2am, vans pulling up and building fires outside of vans. No chance of buying meals in their restaurant and staff suggesting the local takeaway. I did feel sorry for the young people working as they were completely overwhelmed by the numbers they were dealing with, especially when telling people at 6.30 there was no point in waiting for a table in their eatery. There was no managers present and the limited staff on a bank holiday weekend was completely a joke.... when I complained to hoseasons who took the booking the representative of skips sands called me a liar. I have stayed in more than a few places owned by parkdean, some good and some average for what you pay.....but skipsea sands is beyond bad. If you should book....don't try the chippy that's on site...It's disgusting
Well Last Week At Skipsea Holiday Park With Tourer. Not A Good Idea As The First Pitch They Ha For Us Was Water Logged. So Asked To Be Placed On A Different Pitch. No Problem Till It Rained Then Even With The Awning Up The Ground Was Water Logged. 2 Cars Very Lucky To Not Get Stuck. They Have Been Told About The Problem For Years And Seem To Have one Nothing.
Great caravan site (Camber Sands) shame about the dog waste (poo) .
There were dogs, not on leads and therefore against the park regulations, roaming the caravan site and shitting anywhere they fancied. This is not acceptable.
After 4 working days I am still waiting for a response from this company.
Don't book if you have small children. It's not safe.
Grandmother, 2 kids - 5 and 7
Bad experience
Never accept thieir bedding as you never know what it hides.
Our experience was Dirty Caravan and blood stained duvets and pillows.
Although we had a cheap holiday with the Sun our feelings meant nothing and offered only the cost of the Holiday. Nothing for stress and wasted time.
BE WARNED
They just do not care as a company.
I have a mobile home on their Valley Farm site at Clacton on Sea. We had it for nearly 6 years and I that time the site has seen some improvements and even more standards dropped. The grounds men are decent people on minimum wage. The office staff are very direct and the sales team only want to interact with you if you want to buy or upgrade your home. There are over 800 homes on this site and the waste large waste bins only get emptied once a week. Most of the bins now do not have lids on. So the waste is open to the environment and the wildlife. Day and night. The smell is terrible. The grass cutter just cuts the grass to a minimum height. Even when he goes over lump and numbs. Outside our home. He cuts the dirt. When asked if he can adjust his cutters or leave it for me to cut myself. It's as if I was was asking him to break the law. When we first purchased our mobile home we were promised the earth until we paid the deposit. Ding ding. All change. Salespeople weren't available. Attitudes changed and when asked about services. You get treated and spoken to so poorly. Mobile homes are great while everything is OK. When you need something doing. That's when you may have a problem. Think very carefully about investing in a mobile home and think even more about siteing at a Park Resirts home.
Never buy a carvan with these
If you need to sell they make it very hard
Had to sell my van worth £35000
They only gave £13000 with £2000 decking as they know how much you owe
They sold van for around£40000.
Not very helpful. Plus they let your van out to the sun readers. £15 a night It cost £20 a night to keep van on site. You lose they win as they charge for everything. To sun readers u get about £6 for your van a night. Sun readers go to there bar for drink food. Arcade

We've stayed at this park quite a few times using the Sun Holdays deals but this was the first time at full price (school holidays😬). The last time we stayed wasn't great,(hence, only 4 stars) issues with a dirty caravan and a faulty fire alarm going off at 5 o'clock in the morning almost put us off but, as we love the park so much, we gave it another go. This time round we booked a chalet which was cheaper than a bronze caravan but still had enough room for the 4 of us. It was clean and comfortable, had the usual kitchen items, a sofa and easy chair, table and chairs and a large (for a holiday let) flatscreen tv. Can't guarantee it but ours played dvd's and USB content, handy if the weather isn't great. The only minor gripe was the size of the bath but the shower was excellent. We didn't expect gold or platinum standard accommodation with these chalets but were pleasantly surprised and found it more than adequate for our holiday and had a great time. Oh, and one afternoon the chuckle brothers parked outside our kitchen window so 2 👍👍 just for that
Bronze caravan at Crimdon Dene was dirty!! Bits of food left from previous guests in top oven and baked on food left on a roasting dish. Layer of dust everywhere including on plates and bowls and food left on 'clean' cutlery! No sheets in one twin room and after asking for them we never got them all weekend! Also key did not work when we first got there and were left ages waiting for a new one before my son went reception only to find a key had been hanging up which they had forgot about. They also need to address the fact that their cleaners smoke in the vans while 'cleaning'. Overall a rubbish weekend and a waste of time and money. Will never go there again.
Disappointing overall,
Very tired facilities on the Meadows with limited showers and washing facilities. shower cabins with no sinks? You need to shower then leave 1 building (port-a-cabin) and enter another (toilet block) to brush your teeth. Not ideal first thing on a morning. Expect long queues waiting for the washing up areas as only 3 sinks on the whole field.
Don't try to book a late check-out as you will be told it is full however you will be allowed to book an extra night (not that full then?) We did that and paid £36 however by 5.30 I counted 30 empty spaces. When I complained I was told there was only 8 (there was 30) so not enough to offer the late departure however when I asked about booking it nobody checked! The automatic response is 'sorry we're full' According to the Manager late departures are not offered in peak season. (not what is says in your welcome pack)
Overall you get what you pay for so if your expectations are high choose carefully and if you ever need to complain 'Go somewhere else'
ocean edge was a fab holiday park, the caravan was beautiful, and so clean the staff were all friendly. will be going back to ocean edge soon.
We went on the 10th to 17th June 2016 for our second Stay at Braydon Waters this Year and found the Staff give 101% and when you get the whole family being Disabled to get that extra bit more Do make your Holiday stay fill like a Holiday so to my family they deserves More than than five star rating. So have Booked holidays for 2017 already there
Don't bother making a complaint as once they have your money they don't care really bad customer services , staff can say and do what they want with no consequences, save your money and go else were
where to begin, the caravan had a terrible smell evident as every window was open on arrival, there were bits of food on the floor outside the van as if someone have swept and just thrown the crumbs, inside the place just hadnt been thoroughly cleaned crumbs all down side seat telly dirty, the telly picture kept flickering on and off. thats just the caravan, the park is so badly sign posted that we kept getting lost finding our van in the middle of the night another couple who got lost even tried to get into our van confused and yet there seemed to be no security around and night lighting not the best. in the show area they had the music so loud my children had their hands over their ears and this was the childrens show. it was also dirty there and when we were served breakfast following day staff threw plate down didnt even answer a question i gave. worst thing of all is a train line that runs right past all your caravans and the trains run until very late so when your not getting woken due to the blasting music coming from the club your getting woken by a train or lost fellow holiday makers, we left after one night despite paying for four we complained by email immediatly and just had excuses i asked for a refund just for the entertainment passes not even the holiday as leaving we didnt use them and they ignored my request didnt even say no just ignored it and since coming home my daughter we believe suffered food poisening from the restaurant something i also mentioned in another email to them but didnt get a responce. we are a family who regular use other caravan parks this was the worst and service since disgusting
I regularly stay at thorness bay on the isle of Wight. Fabulous park. Clean and comfortable caravans. Friendly helpful staff. Couldn't ask for more. My grandchildren and their parents live on isle of wight, and this is great for them to come and visit us. Plenty for them to do if they get bored around the adults. Thanks park resorts. Looking forward to our next visit in September
I booked a holiday with Park resorts we found them very helpful on the phone and the both parks was very clean ie low Hyde and Bideford bay camps.
My family found Bideford bay the best of the 2 sites will be re-booking again to a different site on the iow
I've stayed on Park Resorts holiday parks many times in their Platinum Lodges, platinum caravans and Gold/Gold+ caravans! I have never had a problem. If anything goes wrong the friendly site staff have always sorted it out and compared to other holiday parks like Haven, park resorts is so much cheaper for so much better service and quality!
I booked a few holidays with park resorts.
it does state the high phone charges on the booking page.
However when booking the holidays the charges amounted to quite a noticeable added extra on my phone bill, when I received it a few months later.
I did contact park resorts to question why they charge such high phone charges to book holidays. The amount of people that book the holidays amounts to quite a lot if money.
In my case approx £14 in phone charges just to book a few breaks away, so readers can see the considerable amount of charges if we multiply this by the amount of people needing to speak to a park resorts adviser on the phone, regarding their holiday booking.
I did contact Park resorts unfortunately park resorts were not able to justify these charges.
