All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Park was lovely. The only downfall was the toilet seat in the caravan was absolutely filthy.
The site was tidy. The caravan we stayed in was as clean as it could be considering how much they are used. My only gripe was we were near the maintenance buildings and every morning the would start up there very noisy diesel John dear trucks. This went on through the day. Surely would be better with electric vehicles.
Easy enough to book online. Unfortunately they dont take mastercard or any credit cards. Also although it says you can add assistance dog during booking. No option.
Easy to find what we wanted and quick to completed booking.
Stayed at Lower Hyde on the IoW in July 2026. Some aspects were OK but no better. Our caravan was mostly clean inside although the mattresses did have some stains. Matress protectors are not used, just a single thin sheet so its quite unhygienic. Similarly no pillow protectors, just a thin case so best bring your own bedding. The decking outside the caravan looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while and meant dirt came in on our shoes all the time.
Entertainment on site was OK, the kids seemed to enjoy it. However, customer service at this site is absolutely diabolical (with the exception of Tegan in the entertainment team, who was brilliant). Beware of issues with the activity booking app telling you its at Lower Hyde, when in reality its at the other site. They were 'unable' to refund the activity after being passed around reception, lifeguards, reception again, entertainment team.... luckily Tegan kindly offered to put on an extra session so the kids didn't miss out. I dread to think how the management at this site respond to serious incidents or complaints as they are completely incompetent and the strategy seems to be send you off to find another team to deal with issues!
Food and drink were mediocre on site at best, and expensive. Luckily Lidl is a short walk away.
I've been on this holiday park many times in different locations and never had a problem staff always welcoming and friendly
Some sites are better than others nit that's my opinion
Over all good value
Everything and terrible/horrifying.tummel valley I wouldn't recommend to no-one etc.
Disappointing standard for a Gold Premium caravan
We recently stayed with Parkdean Resorts at St Minver and, while the booking process itself was straightforward, the actual accommodation was very disappointing for the price we paid.
We booked a Gold Premium caravan expecting a good standard of cleanliness, comfort and maintenance. Unfortunately, on arrival we found several issues, including a mouldy oven glove, damp carpet, crumbs under the toaster, a dirty TV screen, and oven trays that were greasy, dirty and covered in burnt-on food. The decking table was also very dirty, and the iron had burn marks which had stained our white/light clothing.
There was also an issue with a kitchen door that had been poorly installed, leaving a gap at the bottom. Our child ended up trapping their finger in it, which was particularly concerning.
We reported the issues and some were addressed the following day, which we appreciated. However, the fact that we had to raise so many basic cleanliness and maintenance issues in the first place really took away from our holiday.
For the price of a Gold Premium caravan, we expected a much higher standard. Unfortunately, the accommodation did not feel like the quality we had paid for and this has left us disappointed with our Parkdean Resorts experience.
Great beach, lovely pittoresque walks and peaceful atmosphere. However the playground is a mess, hidden, broken not entertained, it would be great to have it near the showroom to have a sea view. Very narrow / difficult access to most of the caravans on the second level / third level, we came with our van nearly got rolled over.
Made us upgrade to a caravan (which was a lot more money) as we were not allowed to have our tentbox on our T5 van (which is not a camper or commercial van just a transport van) but when we got to site there were commercial/transport vans everywhere and in the touring area there were several campervans with tents in the same pitch (so 2 accommodations which again they said were not allowed) and motorhomes with vans as well on the same pitch. Double standards and clearly head office telling you one thing and parks doing something else!
Where do I start
Lower Hyde holiday park iow
Was promised a caravan close to the main complex due to disability's this was not the case , was promised a freezer for medical supplies this never happened!
Silver caravan this was a joke it was ready for the grave yard absolutely filthy dirty curtains hanging off and the mattress was like a marshmallow !
Both the swimming pool complex was dirty we went swimming for 4 days a Landguard there was the same clump of hair on the side of the pool for the 4 times we went swimming the toilets also dirty .
We paid a lot of money for this hoilday and feel very let down by Parkdean avoid appely 19 when booking !
I look forward to hearing from Parkdean where I will be happy to

Was absolutely discussed at having to supply formal identification. No mention of this at any point before I paid the money.
I would not have booked as a matter of principle
Easy to book
Friendly helpful staff
Great location easy to get to
The food drinks & cocktails & entertainment on site are really good.
Rat infested time warp overlooked by a monstrosity of a power plant.
Booking was fine although the price is very expensive considering and it was only at Whitley bay. they are basic caravans that are named silver. And totally ridiculous amounts extra for parking and decking. Rather than just simply standard silver gold so on, first time trying a park dean and when arrived our caravan wasn’t ready which was fine as we were early, but they won’t tell you where you are suppose to be to even wait there or have your car there with bags. Was not ready for 2 hours yet it was ready since arrival cos I was sat outside the same one since arriving unbeknownst to me and it was done already. Looked around arcade buts it’s soooo small we were done within a few minutes.
Finally in caravan it’s fine although basic,
But motorbikes are zooming up and down all day and night. Starts at 6am
2 autistic kids who jump and run at that kind of sudden sounds, so bare in mind if your kids have similar sensory issues.
All activities are expensive plus deposits on top (refundable) but didn’t realise as not done at other holiday homes we’ve been too, also the times for activities are smaller times, 5 mins and 10 minutes and compare to others I felt robbed,
All bigger prices and littler times .
Shops tiny clubs tiny arcade tiny,
But overall the club was fine.
And last but not least I go on around 4/5 caravan holidays a year through others. And this by far is the most expensive and for what it is. (£18 for a small milk, sanitary pads, and small lucozade) every single shop bar icecream visit came to no less than £17 each time for 2/3 items i think it’s disgusting and I wouldn’t come back based on that alone. It’s Sunday morning so not long to go before we can leave if I hadn’t paid so much money for the caravan and how much we have already spent I would have left. Unfortunately haven wins on this occasion.
My booking experience was fine . I did it online and was very straight forward . I could see all my options of lodges and caravans and also could clearly see what was on offer at this Caravan Park.
We don’t actually arrive until Monday 17th August so cannot comment on actual lodge experience and location yet .
Confirmation information was prompt.
Staff are very friendly always helpful
With any difficulties we might come across i felt they went out there way to help site is clean the walks are very nice just wear steady shoes it's amazing waking to the sound of the water flowing past your window beautiful
Overall the experience was a positive one. The staff that I interacted with were very nice and helpful, check-in was quick and straight-forward. We had a 3 bed lodge which was very nice and felt quite new, lots of space and great view. The park itself is ok - the grounds were well kept and people walking around collecting rubbish. It looks like the park is expanding, more new unit being delivered and although these could be replacements - it looked like the park was being expanded. Which leads onto the entertainment block - it is too small for the size of the park - the video games area is a little cramped and the pool is quite small -suitable of <8 year olds I would say. The bar / lounge was nice, but again not enough space for the people who wanted to go - so go early. We were there in the middle of the heat wave - so everything seams better then. Beach was nice, quiet and unspoilt - apart from a cafe at the top - that's all there was. We extended an extra day, lucky the lodge we were in was available and reception were very helpful with it.
