Accused of dog cruelty at Parkhill garden centre

Been shopping here many times, and been using the restaurant often. Last Monday the 28th of July, we decided to call in on the way home from Aberdeen and look for some plants. Parkhill used to have a good selection of alpine plants and a good selection of small slow growing conifer trees. However during this visit the selection of plants was very poor. Our dog was left in the car as she was not allowed in the shop. It was a cool day and the windows were left open. Hannah has a habit of howling when she is left on her own. For that reason she is always with us where ever we go. better in the car for a few minutes than in the house for hours. Except for hot days of course. We had just decided that the plant selection was not good for us and we were about to leave when three member of staff, started to tell us that they had complaints from other customers about our dog being left in the car and that she was howling. Hannah did not come to any harm, she was not left on her own for long, and it was a cool day. We felt like we were being accused of animal cruelty. We love our dog and we will not go anywhere without her. If it is to hot to keep her in the car. I take her out the car and wait outside with her with a bowl of water. Most garden centre's like Dobbies allow dogs in the shop. And if she was allowed in the shop we would have taken her in with us. the whole experience has put us of going back to this garden centre for good. Parkhill garden centre, with your approach to us, you now have lost some valuable customers who have spent quite some money in your shop in the past. We won't be back again ever!
