We visited family at amble links over the weekend.
We went to the Old Storehouse for food as a family of two adults and two children. We can honestly say the food was absolutely gorgeous. We used the swimming facilities, they were very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The park itself is very clean and well kept, the children’s is park is well equipped with things to keep the children busy.
Fabulous holiday park
Beautiful site which was peaceful and quiet. It was a joy to walk around with the dog in the evenings. It was lovely to feed the deer who came up to the fence to see you.
The cottage was a very roomy and had everything we needed for the week. There was a lovely garden out the back where we could sit and watch the rabbits play.
The staff were all extremely helpful.
We had a fabulous relaxing week there.
Lovely quiet site which has just been…
Lovely quiet site which has just been landscaped to a high standard. A big plus was seeing the herd of deer in the morning that came within a few feet of the fence.
The caravan was first class and we were very lucky as we were the first customers to use it! The caravan was lovely and we couldn’t fault anything about it. It was lovely sitting on the decking during the day.
The staff were very friendly and happy to help and advise of places to go.
The walks around the site were very good and the Malvern Hills were a few miles away but easily accessible by car.
We found pubs and shops in the area welcomed dogs too which made by our holiday so much more relaxing.
Treated like a criminal. Not a 5 star site. Awful customer service.
I booked a pet friendly caravan with for my family, including my mum with a heart condition. We hadn’t been on holiday for 4 years and I have a very stressful job in the NHS. Brynteg had incorrect details on Booking.com which meant I was placed in a non-pet friendly caravan by mistake. After check in, I received a call from reception practically accusing me of smuggling my dog on site. I was made to pay £100 for an anti allergy clean which was shouted across reception in front of other customers. I was then accused of having my dog on bedding when I asked for it to be changed as it was dirty on arrival.
I contacted booking.com who confirmed that I was not at fault and their customer service was amazing. Our stay was ruined and caused me stress and worry while we were there. The pool and sauna are the only real ways to fill the time on site. The location is good for Caernarfon and Llanberis and we were keen to be offsite as much as possible due to be humiliated on our first day.
Definitely not a 5 star park and their customer service is below 1 star. Tiny single beds, uncomfortable mattresses, table end held on by sellotape, gravy stains on curtains, dirty bedding, a sock left under bed by last family, stains on carpet. Zero Wi-Fi.
I was given a food voucher as an apology on our last night but no offer of a refund for the deep clean I was forced to pay. Booking.com ended up refunding this but I am still waiting for Brynteg to compensate the appalling treatment I received.
My mums health was made worse due to the worry and I have spent so much time trying to gain a resolution. Over 20 emails, 4 phone calls…. I am told each time someone will get back to me. I have had to chase at each hurdle. They do not value their customers and have made the whole “holiday experience” a complete nightmare. My mental health from this poor treatment has been affected but so they care?? Not at all. Avoid at all costs.
2nd occasion at malvern will be our last!!!
We have just come home from malvern. We stayed last year and loved it. However this year we had a puppy with us. So different. There were a few 'dog friendly ' walks on site. We'll sorry but they were not dog friendly. One was round a field with sheep in with a low fence and the fence at bottom had come down and gave access to a muddy stream. The two sections of wood were also not dog safe and I got verbally abused by a fisherman as my puppy jumped in the lake cos a gate got left open. Also the dog shower which was new this year was freezing cold and hardly came out at all.
In the cottage, we had to wash the plates and cooking pans and trays before use they were dirty. The kettle was nasty and tasted weird so we had to purchase a new kettle. Extractor fan on oven dirty. No hoover which would have been handy with a dog. Cobwebs around in different areas of the cottage.
On the rare occasion bar was open we went in and were made to feel very unwelcome by other drinkers cos my dog was on my lap. So we left our drinks and came away.
Overall was looking forward to going back and in the end wished we had not returned.
Excellent in all ways 5 star great staff
Bank Holiday Break at Pentire…
We had a bank holiday break at Pentire near Bude and had a fantastic few days. We had our dog with us and the park was set up well for our 4 legged friends. Not much in the way of entertainment which was exactly what we were looking for. The caravan was excellent and very clean and made a great base to explore from. We'll be back I'm sure.
Par Sands Park was lovely
Par Sands Park was lovely, the beach was easy to reach for young and old in the group. The young ones had great fun in the play areas. We all enjoyed the walks, pool and cafe. The statics were lovely and clean, pity the one didn't have balconies but the other one did which was a great entertainment space. Would go again.
Interesting Holiday Park
Enjoyed staying at Brynteg holiday park because we wanted to travel to different locations compared to the places we know of in North Wales such as LLandudno etc.
The caravan was clean and tidy. Parking the car was not a problem either. Just a few points to highlight:
Finding the caravan was not easy due to it not being numbered or the name presented clearly on keys.
The beds needed a firm base for them to sit on because it wasn't easy sleeping. the duvets were for double beds not, single beds.
The stainless-steel pans were good to use but the handles got very hot and need protective covers around them especially when using a gas oven.
Bath towels were provided in our caravan, but I would have expected at least one or two hand towels. Toilet brushes had to be requested.
More lights around the park would help during dark evenings and nights.
Last orders in the Country Club were called at different times so customers were confused as of when to order drinks.
More selection of 'light bite' meals for adults would be great e.g., jacket potatoes, chicken Tikka masala and butter chicken curries. Noodle and rice dishes served more on the menu. A wine and drinks list would be useful.
Entertainment e.g., artists may attract more people to go into the Boathouse and Country Club to create more atmosphere. Not sure about dogs being inside the Country Club and Boathouse where people eat and drink.
Overall, would visit again to explore Wales.
We had a great time at Par Sands
We had a great time at Par Sands. The location is really good for a quiet break and is a dog friendly area. We managed to get some swim sessions in but took the advice of staff and got there early. Par beach at the far end is actually quite beautiful. The end near the park has the view of an industrial building but this didn’t really bother us. Our caravan was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. I would advise to you to bring some washing up liquid as the bottle provided is very small. Our caravan had a dishwasher but was out of salt and rinse aid so just be aware of this. We didn’t have WiFi in our caravan but the hotspots at the cafe and pool were fine. The cafe and pool staff were really nice and helpful. All in all a great holiday and we would use this site again.
Excellent site!
We were at Pentire Hol. Park from 13-20 Aug 2022. Beautifully located site just off A39 in North Cornwall with easy access to lots of beaches. Easy check-in & friendly staff. Immaculate, spacious, dog-friendly caravan with adjoining parking space was equipped with everything I needed. A great play area for my boys, plus the use of more facilities, including a pub, in the adjacent Hol. Park. Had a very enjoyable week. Recommended.
short stay
we arrived Fri 12 Aug we were greated with a friendly smile from the lady at check in and given our welcome pack and made to feel welcome,we got to the caravan opend the door to find it very pleasent inside and roomy, bed very comfy, our only gripe about the van was the patio table and chairs had seen better days needs replacing, site spot less, very well laid out, quite, beach across the road, lovely beach dog friendly(did not use the pool as told it was limmited to a small number persons at a time) but realy we enjoyed our stay and considering booking another visit.

Came on the 15th august the site is beautiful and so well kept staff were very friendly and helpful my children loved the play area
Our caravan was lovely can not fault it at all even had a curtesy call to check we were happy with everything
It was so dog friendly the only thing it was missing was a little shop
We used the club on the next site which was only a small walk away and we were very pleased with it family fun and arcades for the children

We had an amazing holiday at the Pentire site! (8th til 15th august 2022) Couldn't have asked for better! The accommodation was spotless! We had the best views from our balcony and the site itself was lovely. Great play area for our 2 young daughters. A short drive from Bude which was ideal, close to beautiful beaches.
Staff were really friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be booking another stay here! Thank yiu for making our first holiday as a family of 4 (due to covid) the best it could be. We made some lovely memories. We had the bedt week for wrather too which was an added bonus! I have already recommended it to several friends! Thank you and we shall see you again soon!
Brynteg with a lodge
We stayed at Brynteg on a lodge with a hot tub. We were really disappointed, the hot tub was located down the side of the path were the car was parked. With the money we had paid we expected it to be part of the lodge on the decking. The hot tub had that much chlorine in it we wouldn’t even use it, as soon as you got in the chlorine hit your eyes and you couldn’t breath. Awful experience.
Par Sands absolutely amazing week.
Par Sands absolutely amazing week.
Staff, site all impeccable.
Caravan was a superb everything you could need and really clean.
Thank you.
We had a cottage with hot tub
We had a cottage with hot tub we stayed in one off the hottest weeks the pub and restaurant were just over the road food was outstanding 👌 fish burgers prawns ect staff were fantastic only few maintenance staff they do not need security staff every thing ran perfectly well hot tub check daily the next thing to upgrade to a swimming pool .the deer were great we went to the Morgan car factory two hour tourer. Malvern country park 5 star
Nor suitable for families with small children
Nice setting and the accommodation itself and facilities were fine but it was not at all child friendly which made our stay a lot less comfortable. Our 2 year old had the door to the lodge unlocked within minutes of being inside so we had to move the table in front if it at all times to make sure she didn't run out the door. Similarly there were no childlock catches on any of the windows so could not have any open. Blinds did not have child safety catches either. Constant cars passing outside meant that we worried about the kids running in front of one each time we left the accommodation and could not use outdoor seating area. A car free section for those with small children would be good. The Country Club did not serve breakfast during the week which we weren't aware of before arriving so had to go straight to Asda and find somewhere to eat breakfast the following morning. The soft play area advertised in the description was also not available due to renovation which we weren't aware of before arriving. Also no wifi in lodges, had to download episodes of paw patrol while in the Country Club. The swimming pool and playground was enjoyable though. I would not recommend to those with small children like us as the accommodation really isn't suitable and all the facilities we expected such as an on site restaurant for breakfast and a soft play area were not available
Definitely not 5 star ***
We unfortunately do not consider Par Sands to be a five star accommodation, three at the very most.
There is a long list as to why we have this view:
Blind missing from kitchen (could see in next doors van and vice versa).
Makeup on carpet (attempted removal whilst there).
Drawers difficult to open and close in kitchen.
On/off button broken off kettle.
Curtain fell off rail every time drawn in lounge.
Toilet seat unsecure (fixed whilst there).
Very rusty bin in bathroom.
Net curtains very tatty.
Toilets in cafe filthy.
No balcony or outside seating option.
Pitch & putt is a putt only, the size of a dining room, only two golf balls available.
Have to pay (not a deposit) for tennis rackets.
Park extremely small and suitable for under 5s only.
Very very disappointed for a supposedly five star park. The only place to achieve five stars would be the reception area which was lovely and modern, the staff were lovely (as were the cafe staff), but obviously guests do not spend a long time in there!
Bynteegrived at the Park not knowing what to…
Arrived at the Park not knowing what to expect ! It was obvious from the mature plants and trees that this was a well established sight in a beautiful location . All the staff were attentive and welcoming . After being helped with my luggage to the van , I was pleasantly surprised by what it looked and felt like . Immaculately maintained and great comfortable beds . Mine was ideal for my son and his family .
Facilities were excellent, with plenty to do on site . Good eateries and shops , cafes and restaurants near bye . Caernarfon near bye was very impressive as was Llanberis with all its attractions . So all in all a fantastic site in an amazing location suitable for all the family . Will be back .
