One of these days I will learn…
One of these days I will learn to read reviews before I push "order", alas. Just another story of a missing, primary part of an order that was supppsed to be a set!?! How does a set have a part go missing. Customer service was no help as the only option was to return it to them, then reorder?? As if. They got me this time, definitely won't be a next time.
They sent the wrong part even after…
They sent the wrong part even after talking to a so-called specialist and it seems they look for ways to put the blame on the customer when the part needs to be shipped back to them. I've been waiting 4 days for them to send me a label. This is not a pleasant experience and will defiantly think twice before using parts geek.
Purchased an alternator from parts…
Purchased an alternator from parts geek. What a poor experience. Upon receiving the item, I noticed that it had been either dropped in shipping however, it was broken… call parts geek I was told they would send me a link for a label and I could return it. I received an email that said they needed a tracking number to complete the return. this is where the fun begins purchased a return label and sent them the item as requested. after they got the tracking number, they informed me they could not reimburse before the label as originally stated so the long and short of it is, I’ve had to pay to do business with parts geek, and never did get the part that I requested all I can say, is beware….

They sent my order to my previous address by mistake.
Other person received but denies any delivery in my name. Tried contacting but only an automated system attendant.
Never again. Bad company.

If you choose to purchase from Parts Geek, proceed with caution.
I ordered a part that I ultimately no longer needed. When it arrived, I did not open the box or use the item. I submitted a return request, paid for a return shipping label, and sent it back. However, after receiving the return, the company informed me that they would not issue a refund because their inspection allegedly showed that the part had been used or installed.
I contacted customer service and opened a support ticket to dispute the finding, but I was unable to get the issue resolved. I am now trying to have the item returned to me because it is unfair for the company to keep both the product and my money, especially when they claim the part is no longer resalable.
If their assessment is correct, it raises serious concerns about whether the part was actually new when it was shipped to me, since I never opened the box. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend purchasing from this company. Buyers should be aware of the potential difficulties with the return and refund process.
Stay away from this nightmare company, Cheaper prices aren't worth it.
I placed an order for brake pads and a SET of Rotors. I received brake pads with NO hardware, and 1 rotor. I called to speak to them, 1. They say "Free shipping on standard orders over $99" i spent $170, NO FREE SHIPPING. 2. How do you say Rotor Set, but send 1 rotor?? So the first idiot at this call center, basically tells me to pound sand, no they won't help me, I'd have to now pay to ship it all back, and a restocking fee. So I'm paying shipping twice, and a fee to put it on a shelf, and have nothing?? Yes, that's what he said. I asked for s Supervisor and 10 minutes later, got hung up on. They did call back, but the supervisor was no help. He tried to sell me more stuff, and said just buy another rotor for $82..This is unacceptable. It's within their power to fix this, or waive shipping, or restocking fees. Then their excuse for not giving me free shipping was my parts came from different warehouses, and neither cost over $99 other own. So now it's MY fault that you store your crap separately, and Again it says On Orders Over $99, NOT on each piece over $99, and if they are stored together. This is NUTS. So I'd have to pay another $30+ to return it, and $20+ for restocking, and have Nothing at the end but pay $70-$80 in fees. This Company is a nightmare
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service, return poliocy is ridiculous. I bought the wrong part, they required me to pay for the return and took a 20% restocking fee on top of that. Not to mention the hoop you have to jump through to return the item. I will NEVER order anything from them again.
Nasy nasty nasty Partsgeek.com don't have a fairness business
If was possible I will give them -5 stars. This people don't have any business etiquette or morale is just nasty, i don't do reviews to often but this needs my attention. So I order a part from them and pay for faster delivery and shipping and after 2 hours placing that order i call them to cancel my order they said is not posiblle anymore but they don't even issue my paid shipping tracking number yet, the reason for my order cancelation because I find another way to get the same part from local store way faster then partsgeek (over 7 days to deliver). After I recive the part from them I took me more than 2 hours in order to return the item back where I paid for shipping and follow their complicated instructions after that they refund me the value of the part minus 35%. The stupid part was 60 $ so they took around 20 % I really don't care about the money is about the fairness of doing business but this guys don't care about that. Guys please do yourself a favor before you order from them look on Amazon ( you get it in one day if you have prime or 2 or 3 day with out prime and is free shipping) that now have a lot of this parts and there is the same quality as them partsgeek.com MADE IN CHINA, unless you want a OEM that might be made in outside of China.
Here is the order numberOrder #32-5880661 Partsgeek.com in case you want to apologize for your nasty way to do business!
Absolute trash.
Absolute trash.. parts came in the wrong size, took days to get authorization to do a return and then more time to get them to pay for the shipping to correct their mistake. Once the return was delivered to them there was no communication back, a week later I reached out for status update on the refund as they sent no notification once they received it, to be told that it can take 14business days before they even issue a refund & the CSR had the audacity to cop an attitude like I was out of line to question if the process was actually moving forward.
If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered 2 parts in a pair and ordered another set of parts on Amazon and those arrived faster so as soon as I got my part from parts geek I returned asap. I didn’t even open the packages or boxes because I didn’t need them. After paying $129 for the return of the parts I get an email 10 days later saying I sent back a used/bad part with photos. First of all who would spend $129 to send back bad parts knowing you wouldn’t get a refund in doing so. Glad they think I’m dumb and will be moving forward with a resolution! Do not trust parts geek!!
Worst company ever.
Ordered an alternator for my car. The part arrived in a piece of a box with duct tape wrapped around it. Part was falling out of the box when the carrier handed it to me. Of course, the alternator was broken. Called cs and finally spoke to a person. Told him what was wrong and he said "I sent the email" and he hung up the phone. This is by far the worst company that I've ever dealt with. I would rather pay a little more for my parts than have to deal with this unprofessional, hateful place again.
I called, they sent wrong part. They chose policy over fixing their mistake
I called. I was outside a 20 day return window policy. They sent the incorrect part. They can stick to policy and therefore lost
Terrible company! Please be careful!!
Terrible company be careful. Quick to take money but HATES REFUNDING. Purchase a 2008 MB premium alternator for $311.58 (Ordered alternator for kjl car: Order Details Order #31-4475307 Placed on April 22, 2026 View or manage order Item Subtotal: $251.95 Service Charges: $2.95 Tax Collected: $16.69 Service Contract: $39.99 Grand Total: $311.58) which includes warranty on 4/22/2026. Drive 5 miles to FedEx. Paid $22.47 o my to have the company return it & refused to give me my money back even though it was never installed. Part was returned. Still sitting in box & I’m out of $311.58
Part Lost/Parts Geek Stalls
I ordered a truck part from Parts Geek, and unfortunately the package was lost by UPS. While I understand that shipping carriers sometimes lose packages, my frustration is with how the situation was handled after the loss was confirmed.
According to UPS tracking, the shipping label was created on May 17, 2026, and UPS received the package in Atlanta on May 18, 2026. The package never moved beyond that point.
UPS opened an investigation on May 27, 2026, to locate the package. On June 3, 2026, UPS updated the tracking information stating that a claim had been issued to the sender and instructed me to contact the shipper for additional information. The same day, UPS indicated that additional documentation was needed from the sender to complete the claim process.
Despite UPS acknowledging the loss and issuing a claim to the sender, I continued to receive responses asking me to wait while additional investigations were conducted. On June 9, I was advised that tracer investigations typically take 7–14 business days or longer and was told I could either continue waiting or purchase another part at my own expense.
More than a month after the package was lost, I was finally notified on June 22 that the case had been closed and a refund would be issued. On June 23, I received confirmation from PayPal that the refund was being processed.
To be fair, Parts Geek did eventually issue a refund. However, from a customer-service standpoint, I believe the refund should have been processed much sooner after UPS determined the package was lost and issued a claim to the sender. Instead, I spent weeks following up and waiting for updates while still being without the part I needed.
Shipping problems happen. What matters is how a company responds when they do. Unfortunately, this experience left me hesitant to order from Parts Geek again.
Charged us to send wrong part
We had ordered a part that stated it would fit the make and model of our SUV. The part that was sent was the wrong shape and size for our car. The part we returned was never installed or used. It was still brand new in the box. When I called the customer service line they were very nice and I asked that they send us a return label because it wasn’t our fault that they sent us the wrong part. The guy on the phone said they would and to check my email. But the return label never came, and upon further investigation, the company actually does NOT provide return labels, even if they are at fault. I should have looked into this further because at first glance they claim “hassle free returns.” But it’s only hassle free for them since we had to pay for the return shipping.
The part cost us $187 plus the $20 return shipping fee and they only refunded $151 since they don’t refund the service fee I was charged when I ordered the part initially. So essentially we paid $57 for them to send us the wrong part to send it back.
I feel like that’s bad business practice and we will never not order from them again.
Should be zero stars
Should be zero stars, but here we go
What a truly horrible company this is. They send out the wrong part and after hours upon hours in chat and phone they keep delaying so that they won't take the product back. I ordered a radiator that was listed for my sienna van and was sent one that would not fit. It was too tall and had no places to mount. When I first called them they had me send some pictures and said I could return it, but had to pay for shipping and and that there would be a restocking fee. After my next call they said I could return it and they would waive restocking fee, but I had to pay to ship it back. Obviously that is dumb since they sent me the wrong part. Another call and after about 45 min on the phone they said they would send me a label. I never got the label and when I called back they said it was beyond the return period. What a horrible way to treat a customer. I won't be buying anything from partsgeek again and hope this review discourages others from making a purchases
Poor Customer Service!
We ordered an Air conditioning kit for our 2006 Honda CRV. The kit included compressor, condensor/drier, expansion valve and oil. When we received the kit it was immediately determined the compressor was wrong. We put it back in the box and initiated a return. We returned everything, PAID for the return shipping and waited for our refund. They received the return on June 17. On June 22, I called to find out why we had not received the refund. They said it took 7-10 business days to get our money back! That's crazy, it only took 1-2 seconds for them to take our money when the order was placed! I asked for a PartsGeek supervisor who finally returned my call (4 hours later) whose name was Keith David - at least that's what it sounded like since he didn't speak very plain english. He was absolutely no help. All he wanted to do was tell me the company policy rather than attempt to rectify the issue. I will contact the president/ceo, a Mr. Jon Sinclair and share my complaint. The company sits on your money for up to 2 weeks before they execute your refund!! Rest assured I, as a professional mechanic, will NEVER do business with this company again!! I will share my experience with everyone I know so others won't have the same bad experience we had. If they had simply sent the correct part the first time we would not have this problem. However, not only did they send the wrong part but they made us pay the return shipping and then they refused to immediately issue the refund. This is a great example of how NOT to run a company that needs good ratings, repeat business and customer satisfaction!
Horrible return policy
The parts I got for my car came in 7 days but I had to return this one because my mechanic said it’s not fit on my car so I tried to return it’s so hard to do website keep crashing reason for return is missing so finally I’m able to do returning process but they want me to pay for shipping fees axle was $171 $10 shipping fees when I order it now I have to pay another $45 to send that back paid total $196 everything they will deduct 20-25% restocking fees I’m gonna get refund about
$59 think 100 times before you buy from this partsgeek.com , you might get cheaper parts but basically if you have to return it that is giveaway .
