Patients Know Best (PKB) is Europe’s largest personal health record platform, enabling patients and healthcare professionals to access real-time health information - anytime, anywhere. As the world’s first patient-controlled personal health records system, PKB facilitates borderless, integrated care wherever the patient needs it. That means any healthcare provider, whether in another area of the country or another part of the world, can immediately access all the information they need to support improved clinical decision making and the best patient care. Everything from test results, care plans, real-time monitoring data and discharge summaries, to the patient’s own data - either uploaded from their journal, wearable devices or using symptom tracking, are all available in one patient record. This also reduces the need for professionals to request background information from the patient’s regular healthcare team. In 2020, PKB became the first personal health record (PHR) to integrate with England’s national health platform - the NHS App. This extends the NHS App’s current features and sharing of GP data, to allow patients to access PKB’s full health and care record and functionality, direct from the national NHS interface. It is great to have my letters sent digitally through PKB . It saves time and the environment !
I just wish my hospital would send more of my information into my record so I can access it all in one place should I or my family need it .

What a fantastic company! After receiving a cancer diagnosis out of the blue 4.5 years ago I got shifted around a number of hospitals for treatment before settling at Charing Cross in London. From day 1 I had endless scans and tests all of which the reports/ results were published soon after on my portal. This was reassuring for me that I could track tumour markers as they were decreasing with treatment. All my appointments have been recorded in the same place which is great to keep in a central location, particularly when you are under care of several departments. I have personally had experience at a number of hospitals now and those that have been using the PKB platform makes it so much easier for the patient to monitor and keep track of their own results and appointments.
4 years on now and I am pregnant, 14 weeks away from having my miracle baby. Having all my pre pregnancy scan reports and results to hand has been incredibly useful to the midwife and consultant that monitor my care.
Talking from first hand experience, thank you Patient Knows Best for making my medical journey much smoother than it could have been. I just wish all hospitals used this platform to its full potential!

This is a great tool that combines really well with the NHS app. The NHS app isn’t just about Covid passports it should be about your whole health and wellbeing and I’m really impressed that this company has recognised that and linked straightaway to the NHS app. Well done

As a receptionist at a gp practice as well as a user of this platform it is an excellent tool for patients. Enabling them to access their data with ease and therefore reducing traffic on GP lines, allowing easier access for other queries. As it is integrated with the NHS app there is no worry surrounding data securing and this is overall an extremely useful, underutilised platform that has not been publicised properly.

I've been using Patient Knows Best (PKB) in Westminster, North West London, and overall, it's been a useful tool for managing my healthcare. It allows me to easily access test results and consultation notes. The platform is straightforward to use, and it's reassuring to have my medical information in one place.

Living in Australia, 12,000 miles away from my husband's 93 year-old Mum, it makes ALL the difference (to us and to her) that she can use Patients Know Best to share her health information with us. We can keep an eye on what's going on and do a little background research if need be before we make a call to reassure. We can also monitor patterns and plan any travel we feel may be necessary down the track. Absolutely recommend, not quite sure how we managed without it.

PKB is an organisation that empowers patients by providing them with the information that is, sometimes, lacking in some medical encounters.

Another rip off.
Another pack of lies.
Quote the email sent to me.
'Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust has invited you to access your medical information to help you manage your health. '
I thought it was about time I had access to MY full records.
I went through the usual garbage of trying to satisfy the machine that I actually am who I say I am, the same person they contacted.
I got to the end and was asked, 'Who do you want to have access to your records'.
No where was the option 'ME'
I really should have consulted the reviews of Trustpilot first.

This is a really useful resource that shows when test results will be available. Then it breaks down the medical jargon/abbreviations and handily keeps scans and tests in separate folders meaning you can quickly check dates and details. I would recommend particularly for tracking any ongoing treatment.

This is a complete waste of time. There is no information on the site. You are led to believe its part of the NHS when its not its a private company. To close the account you have to contact your care team. I want to close my account. Went to the doctors, they didnt know what I was talking about. Avoid its just a way of gathering information. There is nothing of any use on the app. Stick to the NHS app.
Update.
I havd emailed you about this but you havnt answered

Whilst this app could be great , if hospital staff don’t add the information it is pointless. When I first started using this app all my medications, appointments and outcomes were posted. Now I have cancer diagnosis nothing is being added and I have to rely on the post to receive this information. The app should be automatic and updated according to my hospital record. This way all medical personnel and myself will have access to my records.

The platform is incredibly user-friendly, making it easy to access my test results and radiology reports from the hospital through a secure NHS Login.
One of the standout features for me is the graphical representation of blood tests. It's so helpful to track changes over time, allowing me to stay informed about my health in a clear and visual way. The visuals are not only appealing but also intuitive, making it easy to understand my data at a glance.
Having everything in one place eliminates the hassle of keeping paper copies, which is a huge relief. I highly recommend Patients Know Best to anyone looking for a streamlined and efficient way to manage their health information!

It’s brilliant - not only could I get all my info, I could see the tests I had and then find out more about why I had had them and what the results meant.
Why aren’t all MY medical records so easy to access - everyone should be using this system.
I was treated at St Richard’s in Chichester and love that I can follow my health journey and look at what tests have been done (and rapidly get the results) but also like that I have then been able to share with other medical professionals I have seen eg my GP to ask relevant questions

This is exactly what I've been waiting for. To have access to my info and to feel more in control eases the mind greatly. Looking forward to more.link up with the hospital to help me manage my AF treatment.

What an absolute load of rubbish. Who has the time to wade through all the information and understand this system. We were logging onto our GP information through Patient Access and then also NHS log in and now another useless disorganised system. We don't want it or need it. We need one simple system that is just NHS. A high percentage of patients are elderly and do fully understand the internet or use a mobile phone. Many people including myself thought this was a scam organisation. Never heard of it and no information from NHS on it. Where does private treatment come into this system. What happens if some of your information is not at your local hospital and not signed up to the system. Do we have to join ? What a rubbish name for an NHS facility. Could we not have just one NHS system called NHS FULL PATIENT RECORD. I hope appointment letters continue to come by post or there will be a lot of missed appointments. People are already confused with appointments being sent by different means.Your local health authority must be paying this company to use it's system. What a waste of money.

Really hard to sign up- difficult to navigate and can't cancel appointments- total waste of time- Also they may well be mining your data

Absolute rubbish. As if working people have the time to go to the doctors surgery, if you happen forget your password. I work 9-5 Monday to Friday and can’t access the surgery unless I take time off work. I can reset my bank account online, I don’t have to go into the bank. Why not medical sites. This service is a total waste of money. I’m a patient and I know best.

Test review - this is a fake I am just trying to see what TP does next
I have never understood the purpose of Patients Know Best - apart from harvesting our data!
It seems impossible to leave, impossible to log on, and they keep sending me emails about "new documents" which I get from the NHS anyway.
Who is paying these people - the hard-pressed NHS, I suppose
