Complete Waste of Money

I signed up today for one month of Peacock premium just so I could watch the Olympics. An hour later, I already deeply regretted it. I was trying to watch a figure skating replay, and the ads were so frequent and so lengthy that I couldn't even see a single skater all the way through.

This Olympics coverage is the worst yet; total
waste of money. I've turned it off and will rely instead on YouTube replays in the coming days and weeks. Those are much better quality and have far fewer interruptions.

Update: I went back and tried again and had better luck for maybe 10 minutes or so. Then the lengthy, frequent ads started up again. Also, as others have experienced, sometimes I can rewind during a replay, and other times I can't. At least for me, this streaming service is unpredictable, frustrating, and not worth even half what they charge for it.

Very glad I only signed up for monthly. I'm cancelling and will be done with this service in early March.

One more thing: Lousy customer service. I had a couple of questions yesterday and could not find the answers online. So I tried chat, but I gave up after waiting what I think was at least an hour for a rep.

In my experience, streaming services tend to get worse over time. I won't even try to watch the 2028 Summer Olympics.

Your streaming app’s latency is so…

Your streaming app’s latency is so great that it tells me that an olympic event is happening live! Recommends it to me even. Click into it and boom, this event has concluded and you cannot watch a replay.

Why cant I watch a replay? Because the event is live and happening now!

Why cant I watch it live then? Because the event has already concluded.

Subscription charges that continuously increase, the introduction of advertisements regardless of what tier you pay for, and lastly a tech platform built by a legacy entertainment company that has no idea how to build a product.

So what are we left with? A piece of crap technology that costs a bunch of money and is riddled with ads.

Cant wait until you guys raise the subscription price further and introduce more ads to every tier to justify some valuation based on imaginary growth that your MBAs are working tirelessly to justify.

Your product is ass. Absolutely no one should pay for it. The content manager reading this review at Peacock should find a new job at a company that isn’t contributing to the decline of the american experience.

Peacock is greedy.

I think Peacock is trying to make more money during the Olympics. In the pass we could access the Olympics with just our regular account. Not this year. I think we should boycott peacock. They are greedy.

WOW… talk about dirty

WOW… talk about dirty. You must subscribe to watch the Olympics. That’s low… get a grip NBC. We know you are “for profit” but stooping to this level of money hungry stealing direct from all Americans pocket is basically blatantly robbing us. DO BETTER!

Tried to sign up to no avail

Tried to sign up to no avail. I am Canadian with a home in the US that I own. Had my bank approve the transaction thru Visa as requested by the app yet, Peacock still refused to acknowledge this.

Commercials are out of control!

I understand paying less for commercial added subscription. But HOLY HELL! There’s 30 minutes of commercials for a 30 minute show. Ridiculous amount of commercials. Crazy crazy amount…Far more than any other streaming service. Insane!

Watch for college basketball

Watch for college basketball. Lag and screen freeze an issue with every game watched. I hope NCAA would demand better or drop Peacock as they have shown they don’t care to fix problem.

Basketball game only on Peacock

Basketball game only on Peacock. Their video is such poor quality I cancelled last month. God awful.
So to see the game I re subscribed. Went to the game and they required me to upgrade without saying how much that cost. I googled cost and they want another $7 a month to be premium. For their crappy video no way.
I consider Peacock the lowest of the low. Poor video, crappy announcers, and little content and want Netflix pricing. I have no intention of using them

I had to give 2 stars because they do…

I had to give 2 stars because they do have good shows. The only thing is You Can't watch them. I don't know what's goin on but lately about last month or so, its buffering, take you back to home page while watching something. And to top it All off they've doubled their pricing without fixing anything. Worst App on TV anymore 😡

I would have given negative stars if that was an option. It constantly freezes up. I've got several streaming services and even some free ones that are all better than peacock. I can't believe they have the nerve to charge money for their horrible service.

Trash streaming channel

Trash streaming channel. Almost all the NFL and NBA games aren’t even shown on this bullshit. Just college and soccer. The whole reason for me subscribing was to watch NFL and NBA games, which they falsely advertised.

Mediocre in many ways.

Can't record. You're at the mercy of whether peacock chooses to provide a replay. And there is no indication ahead of time of which content will have replays as far as I can tell.
Often get halting and judder. Sometimes exiting and logging back in will fix it, but you often miss content. Sometimes it's annoying enough that I just quit.
Sometimes you can't pause live broadcast. If you have to answer the door or let the dog out or need to read some graphical content or whatever, you just have to miss part of the broadcast.
When you can pause, the paused screen goes away quickly and is replaced with some sort of promotion. If you are trying to read some graphical information the promotional screen keeps interfering.
Customer service appear to be an actual person that just reads from a script. Might as well have an AI bot if they haven't done so already.
Doesn't work on my chromebook.

GLITCHY, BUFFERS CONSTANTLY. TOTALLY UNUSABLE.

Peacock is extremely glitchy, and buffers constantly during streaming. We tried to work with them to find a solution, but after taking all steps (clearing cache, rebooting all equipment & Wifi, satisfactory WiFi speed test, uninstalling & reinstalling the app, ensuring the app and our TVs have the most current software, etc.,) it remains annoyingly unusable on both our TVs, and we never heard back from anyone at Peacock after escalating our issue. All of our other streaming services work fine. We cancelled our Peacock plan - don't waste your money on a frustrating service that rarely works.
