Shame on you.......this company is suppose to care and support the vulnerable in need....all they do is support themselves.....I'm sure we will be seeing penderels on TV soon as lifeways trust are at the moment and that would be a good job show you up for what you are!!
After posting this review and the response I received an email from them not a very helpful one just saying they were looking into my issue and would get back to me, and guess what, I have heard nothing since.

Don't believe anything they say!
Following my review on 11th Feb '25 and their subsequent reply - DON'T BELIEVE A WORD THEY SAY!
You will see from their response on 12th Feb '25 that they say the the refund I was due was "being paid to you this week". It's now 28th Feb '25 and I'm still waiting!
Also, I finished my employment in Oct '24 and I'm still awaiting my P45. I have contacted HMRC to make them aware that it's still outstanding.

They visited my father without letting me know, he has dementia and lives in a care home. They gave him a piece of paper with a phone number to Dial saying press option 2 option 1 so that he could spend £1300 a year on them managing his finances. This is something that is completely not needed and a complete rip off. Have a look at my Google reviews. I only give five stars because I only want to review things that are really good and people should know. However if something is dangerous, I will review them and if there were minor stars to give to this organisation I would give them. I’ve phoned Penderels up several times, emailed them several times, and I have just received evasive answers. They are just trying to rip off my father like everybody else in the past do not trust them. Do not deal with them.

They don’t pay. I am currently owed 2 months of invoices. You are putting peoples care at risk. I’m currently unable to go to work as I’m not knowing if I’m actually going to be paid for my work. This isn’t fair on the client or the PA. Sort this out pendrels, other companies have no issues.

I was with Penderels Trust for 8 years, putting up with many errors as have a busy family life and being a carer. Penderels have failed to process timesheets twice at crucial times when my PAs needed to be paid, meaning in month 3 I finally had the correct amount to pay. When I closed my account, I received another HMRC invoice which was already paid 2 months prior. Need I say anymore, other than, that this company is incompetent and they need a full investigation via ombudsman. Thankfully I have peace now since leaving Penderels, which is what respite is meant to be a time of self-preservation for oneself.
Yet again 4th time penderels trust appointieship as not sorted out his debt as his carehome is getting letter I've already emailed.
Don't use them and I'm going to speak to ombudsman

They work with their close friends and corrupt neighbours Birmingham City Council to take appointeeship of elderly people with a referral from a social worker if there is no family member or if there is they will be acussed of financially abusing that person with no proof needed to the DWP and Penderels trust. They don't even pay the invoices. To the council. Took 4 months to get them relinquished they then charged £100.00 for closing the account.? In the meantime they applied for court of protection which would give them access to all that person's finances and properties and took another £1125. from the state pension for solicitors and court fees which was supposed to pay the contributions. The letter from solicitor went to a fake address.
And when Birmingham City Council want to increase the fees they conviently divert the invoices back to Penderels.. Who then can't send them out via email..? Supposed to be a charity I don't think so.. I was not informed about the appointeeship and as for the court of protection application.. I found this out by being informed from the care home staff that a solicitor went to visit my father. When I contacted the solicitor they'd been given a fake address that's why I didn't get informed. Even though Penderels trust were fully aware of myself and my power of attorney. Spoke to the so called independent living advisor on a number of occasions.. A very convenient error of address then after they'd had my power of attorney investigated. Which concluded that Penderels trust need to be relinquished. And they were fully aware of myself and my address since 2019.

Sent in timesheets before due date, no monies paid in! Impossible to contact! This has happened many many times, I've had to pay my carers overdraft as money never goes in on time! Every month it's like groundhog day! No phones answered, no reply to emails! What kind of company is this? Since the day they took over, nearly every month has been a non payment for my carers! One has now resigned! Never get an answer to why this happens, Russian roulette every month to see if the carers get paid or not! They don't deserve the one star, but doesn't let you not rate!

Worked via this company for 3 months , this month's pay not gone in my account. My boss is on holiday so trying to sort this out myself.
Nobody in payroll answers the phone , phoned 5 times left 2 voice messages , left email no reply , who do I turn to ,where are my wages ? Owed over £500

This terrible company have caused my husband and myself no end of problems over the years and when we have tried to contact them no one ever gets back to you. We both told them we were moving our managed accounts but they are withholding £8000 of my husband’s PHB that he needs urgently to buy a new wheelchair with. They have been told by our new provider and the NHS continuing healthcare team to immediately send the money over but as yet they have not done so. After reading all these reviews I am concerned that the company is going bust and that’s why they are not paying invoices, PAs, etc. It’s bad enough having illnesses and disabilities without all this extra stress so please listen to all these other reviewers and avoid them.

This company has gone downhill fast in the 6 years my daughter has been with them. Never get an answer from emails. No one answers the phones. They set up a new payroll system and despite being very strict about timesheets having to arrive before 9am on a Monday morning (ridiculous) can’t ever upload payslips on time. I am going to be changing provider. This shower of clowns don’t deserve to manage PHB accounts.

I should have looked at the reviews here before attempting to use this company’s payroll service. I say attempting, as they are impossible to contact and do not respond to voice mails or emails. We stand to loose an excellent PA for our disabled son as we have been unable to pay her properly for over 2 months. Avoid like the plague and find yourself a nice family run payroll service that values their customers.

So my partner emailed them on the 18th July 2024 no email back. And my partner had a text message today from my dad's Vodafone account saying he need to contact bpo collections. So we checked it Vodafone account and he's in debt. So that's that's twice they've put him in to debt.

I have recently nominated this trust. I have left messages. No one rings back. I have sent the forms back regarding PA. No response. Notts county council had them on their list of providers. I will be making a formal complaint to them.

Terrible service over 10 years using this company it has gone terribly down hill missing wages every other month. When you try to contact them on any of their services there is no answer. This is forcing me as an employer to only pay 70% of the wages my employees should be getting. STAY WELL AWAY if you want any sort of communication this is not the company you want to use for your payroll. Also had the audacity to try blame me for several of the missing wages. This time 2 of 5 payee sheets have come through but they haven't bothered with the rest so they not only don't pay but they also lose sensitive documents and don't answer or blame yourself if they are not there, it's never there fault.

Stay well away !!! I have been working for my client for 12 weeks, only after countless phone calls an emails have I been payed 70 pecent of my wages just last week ( week 11 of working ) Apparently penderels are waiting on a tax code for my employer, and this takes 12 weeks ????
So I have payed no tax or national insurance for 3 months, what a shocking company to work for, they have no respect for us carers or their clients. I’m putting in a complaint to the financial ombudsman, no company should get away with this behaviour!!!
