1. Has not paid any of my daughters invoices since last September to the college she attended.
2 has not paid the self employed gentleman who now cares for my daughter
3 said gentleman now through no choice has given us two weeks to get pendrells to sort payment as he can't have my daughter with no payment
4 this will result in a detrimental effect on my disabled daughter for who the group she is part of is a massive part of her life
5 after having months of no contact from pendrells at all have actually been talking to a nice lady that actually replies to you but still gave no answers or payment
6 apparently there is not enough money to even pay people . How is that possible?
Pendrells you are destroying my daughters ability to get out into the world you should be ashamed at your inability to do the job you're employed to do.

Literally zero for the company service however. Two months now and no payment on the date due and that is despite submitting a day earlier than recommended. Whilst the people that I have managed to speak to have been helpful, each month is that same excuse about being too busy to pay on the day and to wait until next viable time.
My father even subsidises his care payments so effectively they are using his money to pay other people and make his PA’s wait. Absolutely disgusting.
Can anyone recommend a different company?
I’d also advise making a formal complaint to the financial ombudsman or the social care of your area as they are the ones that put this company forward in trust they will carry out the payment process properly which they clearly are not.

Further to my review in March of this year I'm sad to say NOTHING HAS CHANGED! I have an outstanding invoice from 26th April that has not been paid despite reminders.
As of today my bank goes into unauthorised overdraft to pay my car payment which I need to work. I have a fuel range of less than 100 miles...36 of which I need for my commute. I then have business miles on top of that so today is the last day I can attend my client until I am paid!
I have been forced to beg for my pay so many times and to threaten with legal action in order to be paid.
Please avoid this company at all costs. They cause nothing but stress, frustration and financial hardship. What a complete shambolic shower of excrement!

Back with another review incase anyone was going to use this company. Please don’t. Do not waste your time. They are awful and do not pay you on time. When you then query it you’re ignored. My social worker can’t even get hold of these people. Honestly so rubbish!!! I have no choice but to use these but please please please do not if you can help it. They will make your life hell like they have mine. I have had to pay so many failed direct debits because of these people. It’s affecting my mental health not knowing if I will be paid. It’s not fair.

I couldnt give it a 0 star.A nightmare company!If you are a self-employed PA they cannot give you a paydate!Like we dont have to pay our monthly bills!Cannot get through to the phone.Dont answer messages.Im waiting now for almost 3 weeks after invoices got sent!Every month this is the case.I don't understand with the amount of complaints and bad reviews this company still exists!!!!

Penderels has definitely had its ups and downs , the ups were 10 years ago when everything they said they would do they actually did . For the last few years during Covid and since then they have become just the worst ..
I am an employer for PA’s for my partner who is the service user . We are charged for payroll fees and for help for independent living fees yet as many have already said the telephones don’t get answered , messages don’t get returned , emails never replied to , Pay slips
Were a problem but now with the my view things are on time . This is the second time my HMRC bill was returned late for PA’s this was due to not receiving the letter which is just unacceptable. The last 3 PA’s I’ve employed no one at Penderels has assisted in the recruitment contract documents yet we are being charged for the work. I have had to use legal advice through Mark Bates to get the help and documentation needed .
Annual leave changes have never really been explained and if you like me find this painful to calculate then shouldn’t they be there to guide . No one is available ! Forget ILA ( independent living advisors ) they don’t exist anymore or they simply just don’t reply to anything .
I have been using Penderels for 14 years , they are a disgrace and should not be allowed to administrate any council funded direct payments as they just simply don’t give the help they think they do .
I am an employer using the Gloucestershire Penderels trust - I wonder if anyone has anything good to say about them or anywhere for that matter ..

How funny I can not get anyone to answer an email from Penderels but as soon as I put a bad review on Trust Pilot they can reply straight away, If you would of read the complaint properly you would see that I have been emailing the finance team repeatedly who forward on my request to Daisy so please don't tell me to do something that I have already done, but now coming into the 3rd week I still have no balance on my daughters account, absolutely disgraceful company, you really need looking into, God help any person who has additional needs that is trying to navigate this shambolic system, not fit for purpose.

On reading all these reviews it shows that whenever they actually respond to them Penderels are trying to worm their way out of every complaint. There must be a fleet of Penderels employees writing answers, full time, to the public reviews because there aren't any answering the phone or emails. "Help and support" ? There isn't any and the whole service is diabolical and I wish I had paid to stay with Rowan who I was with for years and I could not fault them, ever.

My names is Karen , I’m an employed PA . My wage was due to be paid to me the 14 March 24 and it wasn’t ! I’ve tried everyday since to get through and all I get is an answer phone and I’ve left messages and no response not even to emails I’ve sent. I’ve had to get on to my local mp rebbeca Harris who is going to write to you. It’s discusting not paying people for the time they have worked leaving family’s in distress and can’t pay no bills . What the hell is going on ! I will now be getting legal advance as we’re now nearly in April and the next pay will be due again.

Most definitely the worst company I've ever had the displeasure of using hard to contact and by the previous reviews and experience really struggle to pay on time. Think the best thing to happen would be a investigation from the financial ombudsman as carers not being paid for three months is shocking !!

I have experienced numerous issues with this business. Their service, communication and attitude is disgusting and extremely unprofessional. If I had contracted with them myself I would hold them in breach of contract several times over. Unfortunately I have to use them due to their contract with Essex County Council.
Despite passing the employee & employers forms to this business on time, their payroll did not bother requesting the HMRC code until a month later. This HMRC is required for the PA to be added to payroll and then paid correctly.
This meant my PA did not get her full pay, then once the HMRC code was received they decide not to pay her at all despite my timesheet being submitted correctly and receiving confirmation of said timesheet.
They also gave my PA the option of being paid 4 weeks or monthly. The PA chose 4 weekly, but over a month and a half later and only 2 weeks payment (- 30% of that pay) provided, they finally admit this was a mistake and they only pay PA's monthly.
They do not reply to emails, they do not answer their phone. If you are an authority thinking of using Penderels, do your residents a favour, don't. If you are anyone else thinking of using them, don't. Basically avoid at all costs.
I will be looking into my legal options and have made a request to Essex CC for me to take control of my own direct payments.

I have been forced by my local authority to make use of this organisation to provide payroll services for my disabled daughter’s direct payments scheme. They are incredibly inept, change long standing existing conditions without consultation, are impossible to contact via telephone and reluctant to respond to complaints via email. My consistently poor experience with them has been going on for years now.
Lately, they required that timesheets for our Christmas payroll be submitted one week ahead of normal schedule for what is, for most, a normal working period. They then failed to deliver pay slips in time for me to make correct payments to our staff by their due payment date at Christmas. (Care staff paid at minimum wage and are not known for having a great deal of spare cash available.) Their solution for this ineptitude is for me, an aging and overworked parent/carer of a profoundly disabled young adult, to run a roughly estimated payroll for my staff and then run another one once they get their act together and deliver what they are being paid to do. i.e. I do more to compensate for their failings! I am getting rid of this dreadful organisation no matter what my local authority say. I’ll personally pay any fees necessary to use another payroll agency because free time with my daughter is extremely precious and, at my age, every second I waste pursuing these people to do what they are being paid for is lost to us forever. They have no empathy with the needs and challenges faced by disabled people and their carers whatsoever. My advice to anybody reading this is don’t touch this crowd with a barge pole if you have any say at all in the matter.

My interviewing managers forgot we had an interview so they had to schedule me in last of all interviewees so I was at a disadvantage. Couldn’t get a hold of the office or team on their displayed number using the lines turned out no one was in on a Wednesday or Thursday which is very strange. Eventually went through the interview process just to be told the next day at closing hour that I did not get a job without any feedback.

I think this could now be the worst organisation I have ever dealt with: worse even than "Very" who I reviewed back in 2014. I have given Penderels a one star rating only because there is no option for zero stars.
I have used Penderels Trust for six and a half years to help manage an account funded under the The National Health Service (Direct Payments) Regulations to support my disabled wife before she sadly passed away from Multiple Sclerosis. I can forgive them for the mistakes that they made but not for their unwillingness to follow my instructions on important matters such as pay reviews; or for returning a large quantity of the money I am responsible for managing to the CCG without even bothering to consult me.
Instead of making life easier for my wife and me, Penderels Trust have proved to be an extra problem to be battled with. They seem to see themselves as an enemy to oppose your every decision rather than as a friend to hold your hand.
If you need assistance in managing a personal health budget, I strongly recommend against using Penderels Trust. Instead, I would sugest just using a friendly local accountant to handle the payroll for employees.

Unhelpful, no support, paperwork goes missing and staff can be very rude. No use to someone with learning difficulties. Disgraceful and money hasn't been paid although they've received it from the council AVOID
