Selection of Persian restaurants is very limited in DK. This one is anyway the best Persian restaurant I've seen so far.
Authentic good persian food, but maybe overpriced for the presented quality and quantity.
Beer selection very limited, and again very overpriced.
No good Persian tea unfortunately.
Restaurant is too small and noisy. But clean and cozy anyway with OK service.
So the service is embarrassing! We reserved a table and got to sit near coats in a small dark room.. I couldn’t even fit in there, because the coats were into my face basically. When we asked to be sitted somewhere else, the manager was extremely rude and telling that the people that reserved before me didn’t have tables yet and I should have been grateful. Really?! If they are bad at management why is it my problem?! And if you don’t have enough place for people, don’t let people reserve a table.
Don’t go there if you don’t want to be insulted and treated like an animal.
My wife and I have eaten numerous times at the persian restaurant Khayam in Valby. Not a single time have we been left unsatisfied. Their food is consistently being cooked great. The flaming of the djuje kebab / chicken kebab is perfect, and their rice is simply true persian - outstanding.
All of the waiters are very nice, especially the main manager. They are polite and serviceminded, and serves great food. The atmosphere is great and is a popular place.
The pricing is reasonable and is actually a bargain for Copenhagen.
I can highly recommend the place for a great dinner.
